Really don't wanna make enemies
It is a general camming discussion after all. I have no prejudice or stereotype in me as a person. I AM after all a cam girl myself. Just wondered about the banana after reading on ACF that many models got in troubles
Don't worry about it. These kinds of questions are valid, and they're important to work out for a lot of people as well. I spent some time on MFC before I joined, and I always figured they were just lax on the rules that made them money. It's not a very touchy issue, from what I've seen.
Thank you Evvie.
So let me see if i get it right. It's okay to break the rules if it brings money, but still not okay to have men on cam? (
many models sell Boy/Girl videos through MFC and THAT is okay because tokens are exchanged through the site?)
Do I smell hypocrisy from the admins? I don't get it.. :? Is the next thing i'm gonna be told is "Grow up" ? heh
My only addition is to address this point.
Videos and photosets are a whole other monster altogether.
Videos made by the model are not hosted by MFC, they are not stored on MFC's servers, MFC admin do not review them, and MFC has absolutely no interest in videos whatsoever except that they want tokens to be paid for them, not a third party payment.
MFC has a strict no-man-cam policy for a lot of good reasons imo (it's one site where men can go knowing they'll never have to physically see another man), but if I make a video blowing Mr. Evvie, I'm not forcing a real penis on anyone. The only people who would see his bananer are members who seek out my video collection and specifically request the video with him in it.
My take on the rule breaking is pretty similar to Nordling's. In every administration, rules are broken. And a lot of it just goes back to "the rules are here to legally protect us if something goes wrong."
Yes, we might all be on the search for an eternally classier cam site, but so far I haven't found the one even close to MFC in terms of atmosphere, community, potential pay-out and traffic. I think it is an admirable goal that all models try to follow the rules - but how much do you think MFC would change if they started enforcing every rule? No more public masturbation would probably wipe out the incomes of half the models on there. Also, when it comes down to it, we're all sex workers trying to make a living. Having the attitude, "yes, I break some of the rules, but at least I don't do
that," is like a stripper saying, "yes, I get naked and dance for money, but at least I'm not an
escort," or an escort saying, "yes, I have sex with men for money, but at least I'm not a common
prostitute."
I think it is good that all models have personal boundaries and limits they are comfortable with. However, I'd say it's a rare number of us who have never broken a rule on MFC, and for some ladies who break the rules every time they get on cam, it seems a little ridiculous to say, "I break rules every day, but I still want the other rules (that do not effect my earnings or shows) to be enforced."
MFC has a proud history of enforcing what they please, and I'd say in the long run it's probably helped both them and the models. Sure, they might not be the coolest site out there, but they are not trying to be. A good rule of thumb is if something has "free" right in the name, it's not going to be classy.
