My original screenname was DuoShin85 which I use elsewhere. It's a concatenation of my gamer name in college (Duo), a piece of my first WoW character's name (Shin), and my birth year. At one point, I went on a 3 hour walk on a Saturday morning, and I tweeted about it below

3.5 hour walk around the streets is a good way to start the day, me thinks. My feet are yelling at me though. I told them "Shush!"

Amber replied to it with the following, and one of the other AmberLanders said something too.

Amber: haha I thought you said “SUSHI” to your feet, like it was their reward for the long walk. I was like… wut?

Amber was doing a mega month for August, so it wasn't long before I was back in her room. The hilarity was still fresh in everyone's mind. One thing led to another, and Amber thought it was would be funny to change my name to DuoShi since it rhymes with Sushi. So, I did that, and I decided to keep it.

Now, It's funny to hear how models pronounce it. To clarify though, if you wanna say the name out in full, it's pronounced Doo-Shi. If you want to shorten it, call me Duo, and it's pronounced how it looks.

P.S. For those curious, I did originally call myself Duo due to my love of Gundam Wing back in the early 2000s, when Toonami reigned supreme with good English dubbed anime.

That's actually why I stopped using the name DuoShin as my gamertag. The worms on Xbox Live would spend too much time mockin' my name, so I had to waste too much time mutin' them. It was especially annoyin', because I didn't even think of that pronunciation for the years I had that name. On MFC though, I don't get enough trolls mockin' me to be concerned about it. :mnod
