I'm looking for good examples of adult/sex video games, which have gameplay that goes beyond the standard visual novel. One problem I keep running into is that so much of the stuff out there that isn't just a vanilla dating sim tends to veer hard into sexual violence, which I'm not really about. A couple of games I've really enjoyed recently have been House Party and Huniepop. They have characters with actual personalities, who are clever and charismatic, and worth interacting with, and most importantly, when it comes to the sexy content, they're willing participants. Huniepop is especially fun for me, because it's a legitimately good match-3 puzzle game where the reward is having entertaining interactions with interesting characters who are dtf.
Visual novels are probably going to be the easiest way to get a cast of interesting characters, but again, it's nice to have more complex gameplay (at least branching narratives or hidden object puzzles) to keep me engaged. One game I've really played and enjoyed, and started replaying recently, is Sakura Dungeon, which is a dungeon crawler, created completely in Ren'Py, which kinda blows my mind. It's a decent old school dungeon crawler with light rpg mechanics, and it really is pretty fun.
Anyway, anyone here play some fun adult games or VNs that they would recommend?
