Adults Only rating in video games

An interesting fact about the ESRB's Adults Only rating for video games: It's almost impossible for a game to get an AO rating for violence! Whenever a game gets an AO rating, It's almost always for sexual content. That is a really interesting bit of trivia. I'm not too surprised that the list is so sparse.

The only AO video games I think I can say I've really enjoyed playing were Bonetown and Bonecraft. Those were some quirky and fun games.

EDIT: I just looked up Bonetown, and the developer had gotten a "Mature Edition" greenlit on Steam, but it's been years and nothing has come of it. Odd. Guess it's not happening.

That's not an exhaustive list, by any means. There are a ton of Japanese games like Cobra Mission that aren't on there.

In the US at least we're cool with violence, just watch prime time television and you'll see your fair share. But sex on the other hand... god and the seven dwarfs help you if you so much as show one bare ass cheek without FCC permission after you have justified why said ass cheek was necessary to the plot. And then deal with all the viewers with a huge Victorian values board up their tight asses calling in to complain about the sinfulness they just saw on TV, but not until they've watched the entire scene in question because you know, pervs gotta perv.
