Let’s improve Stripchat together!

Stripchat is continually growing, and to ensure productive development, we want to know your opinion about the project.

This is the official thread where you can talk about the options and new features you would like to see on Stripchat in the future.

Please, share your opinion here, and let us know what you would like to improve.

This applies to everyone: models, studios, and of course, users

I just noticed this going through the API documentation for Stripcash (See attached picture). I've mentioned issues before with using terms like Shemale, Transvestites in your categories for Trans streamers and this was largely ignored with a response saying for some regions it could be considered acceptable. Why these terms aren't also determined by region then still confuses me but that's a separate issue.

This example is absolutely unacceptable though. It's disappointing to see something that is very obviously a slur being used as a category for a whole group of users. You can't justify using the word Tranny in the 21st century without knowing that there is no place it's not considered a slur.

I don't know if this was an intentional choice by the developers but the fact that they decided to make this a category name instead of "trans" or "transgender" makes me feel even more inclined to believe that Stripchat doesn't want to actually support Trans individuals.

I've mentioned before the issues with having no "All" category on the site as well and that was never taken seriously with a response instead indicating that it would offend or put off a bunch of viewers who only want to see Cis Women which I don't think is true. Chaturbate has a "Featured" category, Streamate includes Trans Women at least in the Girls category, Camsoda allows selecting multiple filters, etc... the list goes on.

It's just disappointing and I hope it can be changed. A lot of people think this kind of stuff is just a legacy of fetishization but sites Stripchat partner with directly like My.Club also seem to ignore Trans and Male performers when developing new software. See the "Digital Twins" feature that offers a significant advantage to Cis Women models only and basically obliterated my income stream on the site to a slow crawl to the point where I just switched to Fansly.

I've been trying to break down where traffic is coming from for different sites this week just out of curiosity & I think the following is also related to this post.
Stripchat has a lot of Whitelabel and Blacklabel sites but some of them reinforce this idea even further that Stripchat doesn't really care about sites continuing to use the T slur and other similar terms.

To list some whitelabel sites...
  1. tranny.show (tranny.one)
  2. shemale.show (ashemaletube.com)
  3. bemyhole.cam (bemyhole.com)
There are other questionable affiliations as well like...
  1. celebjihad.live - A whitelabel site linked to celebjihad.com which makes money from showing stolen nude videos from celebrities
  2. incestflix.com - A blacklabel tied to a site that includes underage fantasy roleplay (something banned by Stripchat)

In comparison I couldn't find any problematic whitelabel or blacklabels for Streamate or Chaturbate. Livejasmin still links to a site called trannytube.online which is a shame but that site at least has the excuse of being around since 2001 so it's understandable.

Traffic from these whitelabel sites is not insignificant as well. Traffic is estimated at around 3 million per month (according to Similarweb).

So what am I suggesting?

Stripchat drop some of these whitelabels and blacklabel associations. If you make the platform more friendly for Trans people and stop the kind of user who would be on a site like incestflix or celebjihad from joining Stripchat you're building a better audience long term.

You already have the highest amount of traffic in the industry by a large amount so getting users on the site is not an issue. The issue is maintaining an audience that actually respects the performers & is willing to pay.

The income distribution of the site supports this as well. Couples make by far the most and Trans performers earn a LOT less than any other group compared to other sites. I did a comparison of the earnings distribution from https://statbate.com/strip compared to the proportion of Models online at different times of the day and the disparity in earnings is pretty bad. This isn't just an issue of whitelabels though it goes back to the removal of the "Featured" / "All" category.

With this knowledge and the other information I showed I know that this site is absolutely geared towards attracting an audience that sees people like me as a "Tranny" or a "Hole" and by extension not worth much else.
I know i'll still get those kind of users whether I like it or not but i'd rather not pick a site that actively encourages it.

If you are talking about something like chaturbate where you are "forced" to see "all genders" that won't work unless as a user I can opt out of this. When I go to chaturbate I know I need to immediately click off of the landing home page because I get to see things I do not wish to see .. ever

Thats not what i'm suggesting at all I don't know where you got that from. It means just having an all / featured category in addition to specific gendered categories. Why is that so hard to comprehend? The fact Chaturbate doesn't remember your preference when re-visiting the site is a specific issue with Chaturbate and nothing to do with Stripchat.

Thank you for your feedback, I have passed this along to the team who needs to see it. Thanks for helping to make our platform a better place!

Please add more perks for "Ultimate Users" and more discounts for tokens, I've been ultimate for 3 months and I have only got 1 special offer...
I would love to be Able to leave a tip note for only 1 Token being ultimate user, for example

10 tokens for a tip note is stupid .. especially when you are a knight and the model is in the middle of a show and she cannot get to a PM easily but she can see a tip note on her chat screen

I have suggested before that - like with many things - it could./should be decided on a per-model basis. IE let it be a setting for the model to decide what the minimum is in their room. Even if this is pre-defined increments, such as 1, 2, 5, 10 etc

it would indeed be nice to have a better overview / options how much knights can and cant do. if it is a busy day id love to be able to knight someone (or announce a ’room helper’…) to just mute spamming or very obscene ppl so i can perform without grabbing my mouse with oily hands or straight from the bits… kicking and blocking is something that needs much more trust. knights still come and go and arent in every stream and having 0 on one day but 5 on another just feels like we need to ’collect’ knights. while also knowing that that might turn tipping users off. mini knight for a day? wizard with magic spell for silence? dunno… i think that would help a lot.

You can make someone a knight for a session and remove them afterwards. Knights can only mute users ... only the model can ban/kick users

Maybe an idea: auto disable knight right when stream is over.
Model kan knight someone, and rights are revoked at the end of stream. ((automatic)

I think it's very unfair for models that stripchat only favors mobile broadcasts. Now, a separate tab has even been added on the home page just for mobile cameras😡

Please give VR users the ability to join Ticket and Group shows, or give models the ability to start VR only ticket/group shows.
Add FC/Knight indicators in VR chat. It doesn't need to be the normal chat symbols, maybe just colored dots or something.
Give knights the option to mute from VR chat.

Personally, I think the tab just gives more of a choice; another easy to find tag to search the site via your favourite medium, VR, for example.

Also, I’d guess the new tab is only visible to mobile users (or it at least it should be). Edit, actually I doubt it is - thinking about it.

I always watch broadcasts on my mobile and this feature could be very helpful to me 🤷🏻‍♂️
