Let’s improve Stripchat together!

Stripchat is continually growing, and to ensure productive development, we want to know your opinion about the project.

This is the official thread where you can talk about the options and new features you would like to see on Stripchat in the future.

Please, share your opinion here, and let us know what you would like to improve.

This applies to everyone: models, studios, and of course, users

I have made this suggestion before, but I don’t think since @Stella_SC became the Stripchat liaison.

It would be VERY helpful to have some way to sort the models in the “My Collection” tab. As a user who has been on the platform for a while and have lots of purchased content, it would be great to either have sort options (most recent, oldest, # of content items, alpha order, etc) , or a way to favorite models, or something like that. There are some models who have been off the platform for a while but I still like to watch their content because they were really great, but over time these get buried and I have to go 4-5 pages deep to find their stuff

Also a way to title, index, add notes or something to recorded private and public shows. Sometimes a model does something amazing in the middle of a 45-minute PVT and being able to mark that for future viewing would be super
I come here to post the same.
It would be so helpful to have a way of sort the content. I also hate scrolling down 5 pages, maybe adding a search bar for models name at least would be useful.

I am a user that has loved many Private Shows and c2c shows during a wonderful first year year on Stripchat.

However, I often observe that the models change the rate per minute on a Private Show just before it starts.

i.e. the rate per minute suddenly goes down before a Private Show maybe from 32 tpm to 8 tpm. ( and in some rare cases it suddenly goes up!!!)

This is displayed clearly on the page.

I absolutely support the models right to choose the rate for their own own Private shows or c2c .

But I think it would be much fairer for users if the c2c rate was displayed as well when a model is performing a show.

I recently enjoyed a fabulous Exclusive Private at 90 tpm only to see another user an hour later get a discounted rate of 32 tpm on a c2c in the same room.

I was able to see this because the model waited several minutes to change the rate back on the page after the show had ended.

Be interested in your thoughts.

maybe there was a discount on before that ended right when you wanted to start though?

Thanks so much for your comment…

And yes I get your point and it was certainly a possibility on that occasion.

I probably didn’t put it too well…

The point of the post was to suggest that Stripchat displays a ‘real time’ token per minute rate on the model’s page when she is performing an Exclusive Private just like what is currently displayed for Private shows if the user looks at the profile section.

Such transparency would indicate that in some cases c2c rates are negotiable and this could be of great advantage to models and users alike.

A model may often decrease the rate for specific users, regulars, or people who want specific "easier" things (just talking for example). This isn't them being bad or misleading or anything else, they just forget to change it back when they come back, and when someone else tries taking them, they remember to check.

Or of course, some models do it to attract more users into their room (a lot more users (cheapskates though) look in the 8, 12 and 16 tokens per minute category compared to the other ones, so it's a good strategy sometimes to attract more viewers.

I am sure some may do it deliberately to mislead, but I doubt on a scale to where it's too often you're seeing it, I have not seen it that much.

Agree.

Really liked the 20 token send model Valentine flowers option.

Sad it gone.

I pressed that button at least 20 times over the weekend.

Those kitties, rainbow reactions etc. v. expensive!

Suggest a permanent 20 token reaction.

The prices can all be changed from model to model, so it's up to them.
I think most just keep the default prices, I rarely see the models change them - maybe they don't realise, or maybe they are happy with the prices as they are.

Will you guys ever add a feature to ignore/block users? I mean this from the user side. I use this option a lot on CB and it's very useful.
Just because a model doesn't find a specific user annoying or something, doesn't mean the other members in the room don't, so it'd be nice if I can "ignore user" so I don't have to put him with their stupidity and spam. It really kills a room and our moods, which then makes us leave the models room.

An interesting suggestion.... I will pass it along.

Hello @happyguy

Yes, models can change their private token amounts. They will often lower the price for various reasons such as the user being a regular, or someone who already tipped really high, or perhaps the user and model negotiated a price in PMs (lower token amount for longer duration, for example), or perhaps the model is trying to offer a discount to her friends via mass message or the model is trying to make payout or attract new users, etc.

It is always best to tip and chat with a model before starting a private so that both the user and model can be on the same page to what can happen in the private, and for what price.

Hi Stella

Thank you so much for taking the time to reply.

Absolutely take all the points you and NotYou have made....

Yes I am very aware of the fact that models change prices - love SC and the wonderful models - somehow I am now in high in the Royal League in less than a year!

So I have a fair bit of experience. And I always chat to models before a Private Show or c2c.

The scenario I am trying to put across is this:

When a user enters a room where a model is already performing a Private Show it is possible to scroll down on the profile and see the rate he/she is actually charging at that time under the heading "My Private Shows".

So if he/she has reduced the rate it is shown here live while the show is in progress.

But this "live" token per minute rate is only displayed for Private Shows.

My suggestion is that the "live" token per minute rate for Exclusive Private is displayed here as well.

So in my case I have often been too timid to ask a model who is showing say a 90 token per minute Exclusive Private rate for a slight reduction even though I tend to tip generously and love long relaxed shows.

If could see that she sometimes reduced rates on Exclusive Private (perhaps during quiet times) I would be much more likely to ask the question. Nicely of course!

So I think showing the "live" Exclusive Private rate could be beneficial to users and models alike.

Certainly not losing any sleep over this proposed minor tweak. I will leave it there...

I just noticed this going through the API documentation for Stripcash (See attached picture). I've mentioned issues before with using terms like Shemale, Transvestites in your categories for Trans streamers and this was largely ignored with a response saying for some regions it could be considered acceptable. Why these terms aren't also determined by region then still confuses me but that's a separate issue.

This example is absolutely unacceptable though. It's disappointing to see something that is very obviously a slur being used as a category for a whole group of users. You can't justify using the word Tranny in the 21st century without knowing that there is no place it's not considered a slur.

I don't know if this was an intentional choice by the developers but the fact that they decided to make this a category name instead of "trans" or "transgender" makes me feel even more inclined to believe that Stripchat doesn't want to actually support Trans individuals.

I've mentioned before the issues with having no "All" category on the site as well and that was never taken seriously with a response instead indicating that it would offend or put off a bunch of viewers who only want to see Cis Women which I don't think is true. Chaturbate has a "Featured" category, Streamate includes Trans Women at least in the Girls category, Camsoda allows selecting multiple filters, etc... the list goes on.

It's just disappointing and I hope it can be changed. A lot of people think this kind of stuff is just a legacy of fetishization but sites Stripchat partner with directly like My.Club also seem to ignore Trans and Male performers when developing new software. See the "Digital Twins" feature that offers a significant advantage to Cis Women models only and basically obliterated my income stream on the site to a slow crawl to the point where I just switched to Fansly.

Obviously what is quite a short statement there expanded into something a bit larger but I wanted to bring it up my previous points as well because whenever I find a new issue related to the site not doing anything to support Trans performers it gets ignored, dismissed or worse made to sound like it was an intentional decision.

I should mention as well the industry support staff here whilst sometimes dismissive of my concerns have been helpful on occasions and when I refer to "You" I mean Stripchat the company not any individual.

As far as I know stripchat has never fixed anything with their API, it's been like that from the start, they refuse to fix the model order too, when I pointed out that showing blocked countries and regions in the API was a privacy issue also ignored.

Everyone's just coded around it, I think in my old code I have it programmed to default to trans if they ever change the wording just in case but it's probably not going to change.

This isn't really an issue with not changing the API. Often an API is made and developers forget about it. The concern is Stripchat is only about 8 years old and this specific gender category in the API could have only been feasibly been added in 2018 as thats when they decided to split the Cams into Girls, Guys, Trans & Couples.

This means most likely Stripchat must have decided some time around 2018 that using the word Tranny to describe someones Gender was a good idea. I can't see this just being excused as a mistake as well. This isn't something you miss it's information that's available publicly to all your affiliates.

If anyone at Stripchat can deny this and proove this category is an artefact of a previous website made in the early 2000s instead I could understand the mistake but everything i've seen so far points to the fact that this wasn't a decision made during that time.

Whats even more frustrating is having checked the wayback machine Stripchat had a "Featured" category but chose to remove it: https://web.archive.org/web/20180913081019/https://stripchat.com/

So in summary... In case anyone missed.

  • Stripchat uses slurs to describe Trans people in their affiliate program and on the main site (for certain regions, for e.g. Shemale).
  • They must have decided these categories where ok some time past 2016, likely 2018 based on wayback machine records.
  • They removed a "Featured" category deliberately that would have given Trans and Male performers a better chance to earn money
  • They are partnered a site My.Club that recently decided to only give AI Digital Twins to Cis Women performers effectively nuking Male & Trans earnings on the site.

With this information I don't feel comfortable personally suggesting Stripchat to any Trans performer & i'm halting any referral links I had previously shared.

I can't edit the last post I sent and I might have been a bit passionate with the summary at the end :arghh:. Reminder that "You" or "They" means "Stripchat" the Company and i'm hoping the current industry reps can take this as constructive criticism. Really the only issue that needs to be changed immediately is the slurs affiliate category. I understand the other stuff I mentioned may not be planned or may take a while to change.

I've spoken out about the My.Club issue separately at least twice now and @NikkiNight_MC knows about this so it's not something new. From what I understand they are not owned by Stripchat and are there own individual entity. It makes sense to mention this site as well because Stripchat actively encourages Models to join this site as well.

@Stella_SC , @Jessica_StripchatCM , what's the chances of removing the hard limit of the number of models you can put on ignore? It's frustrating.
There are SOOO many models that appear in the wrong areas because they are gaming the system and nothing is done.

For example, you have an issue with cis-gender females who ALWAYS broadcast alone but they have a "shadow-model" added to their account as a trans model. The trans model never appears on cam. The are just added so that the cis-female appears under Females, Trans and Couples even though it's a female who always broadcasts alone.
It happens the other way also. A solo trans model will have a non-appearing female model added to their account so that the solo trans model appears on the Trans, Female and Couples sections.
This is widespread gaming of the system for the model to appear in as many areas as possible.

I've reported sooo many of these models for wrong gender but nothing has ever been done to correct the issue so I put them on ignore. When you hit that hard-limit on ignored models, it's really annoying to get the message that your not able to ignore because you've hit the limit.

FWIW, I never see gaming of the system like this on Chaturbate

This is very helpful feedback, thank you for letting me know. Can you please DM me your email address or username that you have used to submit reports about incorrect categories - I am launching an investigation into this actually and would value looking up any reports you have submitted on the subject so I can see what you've said to support and what the outcomes have been.

As it stands now, I don't think we will be adjusting the limit of models you can ignore, but I apologize that you've reached the limit on there due to the frustrating nature of this issue.

Models use the tags as well to appear in sections they don't belong. White girls always in the ebony section because of this as well as others

I’ve seen this too, and thought Now you know you’re lying! 😂
