Let’s improve Stripchat together!

Stripchat is continually growing, and to ensure productive development, we want to know your opinion about the project.

This is the official thread where you can talk about the options and new features you would like to see on Stripchat in the future.

Please, share your opinion here, and let us know what you would like to improve.

This applies to everyone: models, studios, and of course, users

Sounds to me like that’s far more power to users than is needed.

Models control who can or can’t enter a room, as it should be. Muting greys is entirely different.
I mute anyone that requests, demands, or directs without tipping and they are not all only grey users. Anyone can chat as long as they are respectful including grey users. Many horrible knights just mute every grey user if they say anything in a room. There are grey users that do add to the room with conversations with models. Racist remarks and other derogatory comments are not made by only grey users. Models would be able to control if she trusts a knight well enough to allow that knight to ban in her room so the model does have control.

If you read my post after the one you quoted you would see that I do in fact report everyone. I screenshot etc and report. Only the more serious things I also ask the model to report as well so maybe something would be done if they get both reports sent to support. The only thing I have seen models get a brief suspension for is being away from the camera for too long other than that it is an outright ban.
Yes, I read your other post after I posted my message. If you read old threads in the SC sub forum here (I am not suggesting that you do, it is not particularly interesting reading really) you can see many models who have been suspended for 24 hours or 7 days. True, there are more complaining that they have been perma-banned but that's to be expected, a ban is more of an issue for a transgressing model.

I can see it as a very useful option for a model to use *if they choose to* on an individual knight by knight basis. But I do not think it is an "OMG why won't SC do this now!" issue.

There would be loads of users who could fuck things up for models if it was a feature. Even if the model chose them.

Just DM and discuss a user if they are that much of an issue. Most models I see ban users ASAP anyway.

Quite likely, but that comes down to the model choosing wisely. Let's be honest, already there are knights who do a crap job of just muting.

As I said, I do not think it is a *needed* feature, but the idea has merit.

For real. There are already too many dysfunctional knights on SC. I don’t think increasing their power is a good idea, even though I know some would not abuse it

I am basing this on my experience on the site opposed to reading on here ... This is a place for suggestions ... I did not say anything about when it needs to be done ... just think it would be beneficial

I suggested a couple years ago to support they allow models to post content for fan club members and have that same content available for tokens ... they just finally got around to actually doing that recently and I am sure my suggestion of it a couple years ago has long since been forgotten and had no bearing on them doing it now.

Trust ... models know when the knights they have chosen are fucking things up and actually making the room worse. I have witnessed many knights being removed by models and banned from rooms all in one swoop... that is why it is imperative the model has control of that on a knight by knight basis and can revoke it as fast as it was given. Just as easy as it is to remove a knight or ban a user from her room

You might do a great job but models trust users all the time who suck as knights and make the rooms unbearable, engage in power plays, jealousy etc

Also, I have been banned by a monitor who had an axe to grind with a model before so maybe I have a different perspective. I have also been banned by accident. It is a pain in the ass to get unbanned in those scenarios because you can’t message the model (rightly so in legit bans).

I wouldn’t cry if this change were made but my guess is it would create more problems than it solves. As a knight I report users all the time and I do see action on some

I am sure most models would think twice about giving a knight that has not shown he deserves the trust the option to ban in her room. From what I see on Stripchat most guys that get made knights do little to moderate the room. They just think they are there to tip the tokens they tip and go. Most models think that all a knight is supposed to do is be a "big tipper" ...

I hear you ... been there myself being accidentally banned and yes it is a pain in the ass especially if you have no way to contact the model email/text etc.

Giving the ability to ban to the wrong person would cause some problems but I think most models just would not allow it. The ones that choose to or would want to probably know and trust the knight well. I have yet to see any models comment about this ... guess maybe some will have something to say or not ... Just a suggestion

I guess to gain traction, models have to get on board. I doubt SC will implement something just on the say so of users, no matter how many might support it.

My 2 cent's worth is that if SC allowed models to ban users by adding their username to a list, then there's no need to even consider what a Knight can or can't do, beyond muting them at the time.
If the model is busy and cannot see a user's poor behaviour, then the Knight or any other trusted member that sees such behaviour, can pass the username on to the model and let them decide to ban or not.

I guess at the end of the day I am not really in favor of expanding the power of users over other users.

Muting is fine because the consequence only lasts for 24 hours. Giving ban names to the model is fine because then the model makes the final call. Reporting names is fine because a theoretically neutral SC a person makes the call. There are just too many users who are driven by jealousy or need for control that I don’t think something as serious as a ban should be in their hands

I am thinking of a model right now who I have had on my favorites list forever. But I don’t visit her much at all because her knight just dominates the room. Never shuts up, mutes left and right, insults users, etc. and you look at her leaderboard and it is this knight tipping a shitload and no other regular big tippers month after month. This guy is killing her business by driving tippers away but from all appearances she seems to think he’s doing a great job. At this point it would tank her business if he left and frankly I think that kind of influence is what he wants. That kind of user wouldn’t hesitate to use his tipping as leverage to be given ban power I don’t think. And then instead of muting he’d be banning and unless the model checks after him he could do permanent damage to her business. All because of his own issues

Banning can easily be undone as well if the model disagrees .. She just has to unblock them. There are always going to be knights that are assholes .. it's a given. Guys like the one you describe always wants to be top dog and abuses the power he has now. Any model in her right mind would not give such a person more power. I would think there would be a notification in the chat that would tell the model that a knight chose to ban someone similar to the notification the knight and model see when a knight mutes someone.

Maybe she is just riding it out waiting for this guy to go broke and stop... Seen that one happen before as well .. the credit card gets maxed out...lol

Except as @Hiunds and others already explained there are some manipulative members who can play nice for months and then show their real colors only after they are already made knights and/or who use their tokens to make models dependand on them, and not every model, even if they are in their right mind, even if they know he's destroying their room and driving other spenders away, is in the position where they can afford to ban a big spender and these types know it.

If the option to allow knights to ban other users existed the manipulative, power tripping types would no doubt exploit this. Fuck that. I don't want that option to exist.

This is the right solution:

I understand what you are getting at but that is not a reason to not allow this. The models that allow one member to dictate what goes on in their room because they "need" the tokens he is using to control them need to learn a lesson as well.

There is one of these assholes that has been running around stripchat for a few years now. He does similarly in that he uses his tokens to control a room, threatens models into making him a knight, then proceeds to tank their room until they quit being models or he gets them banned. I have know about him for years on stripchat and I warn models about him whenever I can. He has several high level accounts which means he does spend money on the site. He came into the room of a model I am knight for and I immediately PM'd her telling her a brief story about his previous behavior in other rooms and suggested she ban him permanently immediately, but she did not listen. She is from Africa and it is not uncommon for models that do well to eventually start a studio as she had done. Once he found out she had other models working for her he insisted he be made knight in all of her models rooms. After this I started being told the stories of what he was doing. I instructed her and her models on how to collect evidence and we compiled this for over a month. The "studio owner/model" then took all of the evidence and sent it to support asking for help with this asshole. They replied with the usual "we will investigate further". In a few days when they completed the investigation the models were all banned except for the studio owner and nothing happened to this user even though there was clearly screenshots of him blackmailing the owner and her models. "If you do not do this I will do xyz" that is a threat and blackmail but support didn't see it that way. The model/studio owner" now lost everything and is back to only having her own account and because this one user chased off all of her regular customers she barely survives now. Once she lost all of her models and the studio collapsed she finally banned him but only after he had completely destroyed her and her business. He is still on the site and I am sure doing the same thing with other models. He always targets black female models ... He is a racist German with alot of money and because he spends so much on the site support just allows him to do what he want IMHO ... if all of the evidence that was collected over a month did not sway them to do anything, nothing will. I gave up trying to help models in this situation because it seems support sides with them because of the amount of money they spend on the site. I was even given a suspension for messages he and I had sent each other in PM's by support because he reported me...lmfao...

The stories I could tell from my experiences on stripchat with support the past 3 years or so would give you a clearer picture about how support works. When I first started on stripchat a woman named Fiona ran support and she was awesome. There was a hacker on the site that was doing his best to get as many black female models banned as he could and her and I chased this fucker around the site for about 6 mot=nths before he made a mistake and was finally removed. Then they site changed. It seems maybe new ownership and all of the support personnel changed. They changed how they did payouts for models and made several other changes and in that time froame support went from awesome to shit. They started rivaling CB support for worst in the business.

This situation you describe is on the model for allowing it and on support for not taking these guys off the site.

Is option feasible for ranking like in the army?
Knights start as a soldier with less powers. If they behave the model kan promote the Knight to sergeant. etc.
The highest level is Admiral with ban powers etc etc.
Just an idea.

This is what i have suggested in the past and directly to the "improve SC" page, except I think it should be based on a user rating somehow, not necessarily how much the user has SPENT. I see too many arrogant, rude, dumb rich guys with too much money who get jealous and mute everyone and anyone that even says hello to a model. I just experienced this in a big way yesterday (big story).

I think MODELS should somehow be able to rate the members (maybe the members can't see it so they can't "buy" models to rate them 5/5 otherwise it's just back to square 1, or official staff can assign a higher "trust level" to users - the "trust level" will be invisible to the naked eye but can be seen by models and by the individual user. I think it could be a good and fair way to give some people the ability to have more powers in rooms when they are made as a knight, but not TOO much power - Knights can mute now, but maybe they can boot/kick (for 24 hrs) grey, then at the next "trust level" they can also boot silver, the next level they can kick gold, and so on.

Not sure EXACTLY how this could work but I think it could be a good way

The only problem I see with this system is there is no model control over this. The model should choose to give it and be able to take it away

Yep that was the idea behind, i did not say this on the orginal post.
Model decide the rank of the Knight. Promote or Demote or Remove.

Big tippers no matter how big of an asshole they may be would get high ratings just because of tipping. All they would need to do is go to a few rooms and drop tokens and not do anything strange and that model would give them a high rating. So the user ratings would be "bought" whether they see it or not

You can't make me read that.

I did however read the first sentence and no, you don't understand.

ETA: I read the secod sentence too and oh my fucking god. LEARN A LESSON???? Models who are in bad financial situtation need to learn a fucking lesson according to you? They don't really "need" the tokens, right? Hence the quotation marks. Better to go hungry and homeless. Your power trip is the priority here.

Newsflash dude, you are not the judge of models financial (or any, really) needs.

Just out of curiosity, have you approached the SC reps here on ACF with any of this evidence?

No I was not a member of this forum at the time and having followed the usual support protocals by reporting and sending the evidence. I figured when it was done it was done... This was about 8 months ago now

I would need to contact the model and see if she still has the evidence because she is the one that supplied it all to support. She collected it from the models she had working for her at the time ad her personal broadcast account. It would do her no good now because everything she had going for her is now gone. I just made a report asking them to see her message along with a brief description of the issue. And yes the guy is still active on the site and he been doing this shit for a couple years now. What was the most enlightening to me was that the "investigation" turned up various reasons to ban the models that worked for her but support did nothing to him. Not even a brief suspension. So over the past year or so I have just stopped having interactions for the most part with support other than letting them know when something is not working on the site or the site goes down.

I am currently working on a support issue with a model from SC but I am waiting to see how they handle it before bringing it here. This is the first one in a very long time though.

It's tough to blame support for the outcome when you don't know what evidence the model sent them.
Yes it's unfortunate in this example that the report ended up with the models being banned, but there must have been something tangible that showed they had broken TOS to result in that consequence.

I did see the evidence she sent them, I just did not save it. And yes I am guessing the models had done something to be banned for but it is moronically ironic that an "investigation" of a complaint against a user actually involved support digging thru the models accounts enough to find something they could be banned for instead of focusing the "investigation" on the user that was reported.
