Let’s improve Stripchat together!

Stripchat is continually growing, and to ensure productive development, we want to know your opinion about the project.

This is the official thread where you can talk about the options and new features you would like to see on Stripchat in the future.

Please, share your opinion here, and let us know what you would like to improve.

This applies to everyone: models, studios, and of course, users

^ This is some of the worst 'advice' I've seen yet. The only person who should decide ANYTHING about running their room is the model themself. Period.
I briefly went into one room the other night where a model has about five Knights with this weird hierarchy.

One of them was the ‘leader’ and basically takes over the public chat by barking orders at the other members and berating them in this horrible misspelled, shouty way.

It was interesting to watch for a few minutes before it quickly became unbearable.

I honestly don't know why I'm spending time with this joke but just for funsies, here you go
So do you have any enlightenment to share with me? Just repeating the words I put in front of my statements, when it's clear that I understand completely that this is the fault of the broadcaster or the commenter here. What is beyond me, that I don't understand is why those people would thnk that was a good idea. And I think you know that...
That photo seems to tell your whole story... it seems. The fact that you call non-substantive, harassing posts "just for funsies" sort of fills in the rest.

I guess you're not visiting the top rooms where knights and mods are working in concert with their models. The models learn to trust their judgment and need to rely on it, since they are often busy performing and can't stop to silence every spammer, scammer or troll.

Mate, This is a Stripchat sub-forum. Your ideas based on CB mean very little here.

As far as I understand it, one of the main metrics for placement on SC is unique tippers per hour; so grey users are worth less than shit.
My comments were just as relevant for any of the cam sites.
"as I understand it" Well, the formulas are not disclosed, so it's hard to know - unique tippers over some period of time is a factor, as are the number of tokens per minute over some period of time. To my knowledge, those are all lesser factors than room user count.

ALL knights and mods should be working with the models, but to the model's wishes and criteria, not their own.
That's not limited to only the top rooms.
Most mods or knights aren't really needed, but where they exist, they should do so subtly and under the oversight of the model.

I'm sorry, but your notion of value is obviously only measured in tokens. User count drives live rank up, it is the strongest factor in the formula by far. And higher live rank drives eyeballs/traffic, followers and tippers. It's just a matter of probabilities. So, greys DO add value by being in the room. And every model should know it. Also, some greys prefer not to spend their money on CB where the site takes so much of the money for themselves. They will often sub to OnlyFans, Fansly, etc. where the commission is lower, or pay directly thru a fintech app for custom content and pvt sessions, where the transaction fees are nominal or zero.

There will never be a high percentage of people in any room tipping - NONE. And lots of colored users have 0 tokens too. So to have such a jaded view of grey users, or anonymous users for that matter, is just a failure to understand what drives a successful room on CB. Models who think of greys or anonymous users as freeloaders need to change their mindset to do better. A model should NEVER do ANYTHING to increase the probability that users will exit the room. PERIOD!

And guys are always watching the action. You can drive a user out of the room by the way you treat others in the room. You don't need to be speaking or acting directly towards them. None of the successful rooms do that. They either keep greys silenced (which is a mistake unless they can't control their reactions) or they treat everyone nice and let good mods (which can be hard to find) decide who is hurting the room. That's the smart way to run a room.
why are you talking about Chaturbate on the Stripchat board?

You fail to consider the negative effect of pushy greys who ask for studd for free (ehich is the segment I was talking about)/ I tip a lot where I visit and if greys are being obnoxious and the model or knights don't police it, I leave. I just had that happen in a room last night. I also said "greys or otherwise" so it is the behavior not the "status" I am talking about

If users want a free show that is part of the bargain with these sites and they market it that way. However that does not mean that asking for free shit is acceptable behavior or that policing it causes ANY problem

Honestly you sound like a crank freeloader with an axe to grind. I don't know (or care) if that is the case but that is what you sound like

exactly. Any room I am a knight in anything I do is based on what the model has told me she wants me to help with ("I don't like X or Y or Z so can you take care of those? But G or H is ok"

on SC the overwhelming top factor is earnings. I know that for sure. High earnings can overcome literally anything else

Last month's top SC model barely came out of exclusive private all month so she had VERY few room visitors

I love that the idea shared here for giving fan club members access to videos has been implemented - it seems super clear and easy to use. Also seems easy to go back to old videos to grant access.

Really great update! Thank you!!

I love how every new feature on Stripchat is exactly what I need and created exactly how I would create it. The "Join to fan club, or buy it with tokens" feature is a really nice improvement, and also the idea that you can give discount for the fan club members is good because users will be motivated to join. I also have some ideas in order to make the experience better:

I would like to have a setting for the models, called "delayed chat mode", which means that public chat messages would be visible to models and knights first, and then to the users. This would provide an opportunity to filter out potentially offensive messages before they appear in the chat. The model could set the length of the delay 2s or 3s, ensuring that inappropriate messages have no chance to appear in the chat window since they can be deleted or mute the users in time. This would be so much help for models, and also a setting to hide your knights from your profile. Sadly sometimes knights are jealous to other knights and they are start to rivalize with each other. This can be avoided if you can hide your knights in your profile.

I was talking to a model today about how ratings for PVT should be mutual like Uber. I rate the model already but the model should rate the user. This way other models can use the rating info to decide if they want to accept privates from users they do not know.

Also I don’t know if there is currently an “auto accept” option for privates, but it seems like it. If there is and the above change were instituted, the model should be able to set a minimum rating for auto accepts and others default to manual accept

Also, I would love to occasionally get feedback on my behavior as a user haha

Any chance of increasing the allowed resolution and video bitrate to support 4k@60fps? According to the support page for OBS, the max output is 1080p@60fps, at 6000 KBit/sec.

Been sorta kinda considering upgrading my camera body to a Sony Alpha 7 IV next year.

Nice to see that we now get the *live* preview of rooms in VR!! 👍

Now if it could actually be from the model's VR cam and not their 2D one that would be perfect. Still so often on entering the room after seeing an appealing preview, the VR visitor is presented with a completely different and sometimes useless viewing angle.

Glad to hear you're enjoying the new VR feature! :inlove:

Your suggestion is something we have looked at so who knows what the future holds, but as you can see, we are continuously improving VR and new things are popping up constantly!

Hey @Charlie_SC and good evening.

I have mentioned before about adding some kind of "spam protection" in public chat, especially against greys, but I think it should be against everyone.
I mean, this is just one example at how someone can easily spam the chat - I understand a model or Knight can easily mute the user, or the model can ban or clear the chat, but I think a prevention is always better, right?

I know that Chaturbate will not let you post DUPLICATE messages one after the other, so that helps to stop the copy>paste, at least at such a pace, AND on top of that, I think if you write 3, 4 or 5 messages in a row TOO fast, it will tell you to "slow down" and the messages AFTER that wont send for a minute.

I am not saying do exactly this but certainly I think something must be done to help the spamming.

Edit:
Just to add, this model has grey chat hidden, thus she didn't see it, and has no Knights, so in these kind of situations it's "dangerous" and silly, so can help a lot

I have been a knight on Stripchat since the day I joined 5 years ago. I knight for models I came to stripchat with from CB as well as other models on the site now. Some I have been mod/knight for for several years and they trust me implicitly with their rooms. My suggestion is to allow a way a model can choose to give a knight the ability to ban users from her room if she trust that knight. I have had several models tell me they wish this were an option because sometimes when I mute someone that needs to be banned in the middle of a show by the time they get a chance to scroll up in the chat to ban the user it is gone from the chat.

Also I would like to see "the rules" applied both ways .. If a model does something against the rules they get banned.. The number of users on the site asking models to do things that violates the rules is increasing as the site grows. It would be good to be able to report users asking models to break the rules and have that account banned. I grow tired of high level users asking for things they obviously know are forbidden by the rules and continuously do so from room to room to room. Guys the have made it past level 80 might think twice about asking for POO or vomit or some of the other things they ask for if they knew there was the possibility of losing their account for asking for it. I tell the models I am knight for to immediately ban any user asking them to violate the rules but the guy just goes to the next room and continues on.

Are they reporting these users though? Banning them from just the current room without reporting only shifts the problem onto another broadcaster.......... so not much help complaining about them continuing that behaviour.

Yeah I have reported many over the past 5 years to support. At first when I started support was extremely responsive, then about 3 years ago now they made a change in personnel and a change in responsiveness. I have yet to see any user get a ban from the site. I only see them getting suspension for a short time. And yes the reports are accompanied by screenshots of the chat etc. I report everyone that violates the rules, from racist comments to blackmail and abuse. That is why in my thread in the suggestions for Stripchat I asked the rules be made to run both ways . They have no problem instantly suspending or banning a model for violating the rules. Some of these more psycho users should be the same IMHO. Maybe the idea they will be banned for even asking a model to break the rules would show some of the higher level guys that been on the site doing this for awhile it's time to stop or go away.

Let's be clear, models only get banned if it is a serious transgression. They may only get a warning, or a suspension of 24, 48 hours or 7 days.

I get your point(s) and agree that it would be useful for knights, if chosen for such powers by a model, to be able to ban from the room. But you as knight or the models you knight for, should be reporting these users as well as muting / banning them.

If you read my post after the one you quoted you would see that I do in fact report everyone. I screenshot etc and report. Only the more serious things I also ask the model to report as well so maybe something would be done if they get both reports sent to support. The only thing I have seen models get a brief suspension for is being away from the camera for too long other than that it is an outright ban.

I am fortunate enough to be knight for a few models for extended periods of time 9 years , 7 years , 5 years and as I said they trust me with their rooms. Being able to be given the ability to ban by the model if she trusts her knight(s) enough would be beneficial.
