I've been looking around the forum and couldn't find a similar thread, but I would like to apologize if one exists. :p

I'm generally curious what makes a member stick with a girl. Especially if you go into her room for the first time. I've always been kinda iffy about asking this of members that come into my room, because I don't want to make them feel like they're being polled.

Is it her looks? Is it her attitude? Maybe her profile, or her avatar picture? Do you guys/girls look for girls with certain tags?

Also, how long do you give a girl before you decide that you like her or not?

I know every person is different and each has their own reasons, I'm just looking see what makes a girl click for you.

Also, camgirls I would definitely love to hear your thoughts on this if you have some insight. :D

Much :h: :)

It's definitely the personality that keeps me coming back. Looks and the model's profile are important too though. It sounds horrible, and I guess it is, but if I'm not attracted to a model, I won't take the time to get to know her. She might have the best personality in the world and her room might be a joy to be a part of but if I don't see anything on her profile or in the little room preview box thingy that makes me think "phwoar, I'd certainly like to have sexual relations with her... if you know what I mean :shifty:" I'll never find out, cos... I'm shallow.

I pick rooms based on the model's appearance first, then I read her profile. If her profile is interesting, or at least informative I might go into her room. 99% of the time if a model has auto play music on her profile I will get mad, and just close it in disgust. If I go into her room I will try to get a feel for what kind of room she runs. Am I going to have fun with her topics, are most of the other members not jerks, does she seem intelligent, and is she nice?

Sometimes everything clicks, but her room is all laggy, due to MFC weirdness, so I just leave. Other times we just do not get along, or the hours she works are not good for me. Or she starts working the same time as a model I like better is on.

Like the other posters , appearance . This is mainly a smile.

Then typing replies to silliness . if those two are good, i stay, tip, and enjoy.

I keep coming back if she helps me enjoy the time, ofc

As to specific things mentioned.
i hardly ever check profile, but if i have a question i look there ofc.

to expand... i have little interest in age, if she smokes, ht, wt, hair, i can see all that
books, movies, dreams, what she does on cam. these are things to talk about.

room count matters if i feel like talking one on one in pm. or cam goofiness

honestly , out of 1000 models on, there are 400 i would spend time in her room.
most are friendly, ))) yes their job. But do have something educational or funny to say.

i also stay out of curiosity. Checking out how a model works, her studio, her counties language, music. How she does as a new model. ect ect..

On room topics,, hehe, i do not look at them,, they are mostly irrelevant to me. If i like i tip, ofc if a game is being played(count, or raffle) i will play along sometimes. I think models do what they can to get tippers going, ))))

These room topic have proven to work, so, Models do them . I like it when there is no topic , It gets repetitive when members or model talk about topic all the time. i guess that is when i leave the room:p

good question, i hope to answer more , it is fun to be poked for info, just dont use sharp sticks please.... my keyboard sticks so excuse typo,,hahaha.

looks, yes. attitude, yes. profile/avatar, not so much (auto play songs on profiles are annoying but I don't kick her to the curb because of it) and I have hidden models because of avatar pics I didn't like looking at. I don't even notice tags til much much later.

Also, how long do you give a girl before you decide that you like her or not?
tough to say, didn't take long for me to figure out I really kinda dug my ATF model and sought her out the next night I was online and kept checking night after night (before I figured out the whole friendslist thing) Basically I think first impressions count.

I know every person is different and each has their own reasons, I'm just looking see what makes a girl click for you.
combination of looks, redhair (jk), and personality. but to be perfectly honest, I'll go keep going back to a model just because I think she's a knockout and gawk for hours, she could have the personality of a toaster, be tarring a roof in a burlap sack and I'd watch because she'd make it look good lol.

Also, camgirls I would definitely love to hear your thoughts on this if you have some insight. :D

Looks are obviously the first thing that brings me into a room. I have had member friends suggest models that I passed over because the profile picture did not do the model justice (yes, I guess I am shallow).

As for why I stay, if the model is friendly and tries to talk to everyone, cracks jokes, etc then I am happy. If I see her regulars joking along with her and each other, this tells me that she has a personality that I will like. To me a room should have guys talking to each other as well. I find when I am only talking the model and the room is dead that I will get a bit bored. MFC is a social experience for me.

About tags, I never search using them. Ever. I scan the main page looking for a pretty face :p

And I generally know after 2 visits whether or not I will be sticking around.

It's not the most important thing, but since no one has mentioned it in this thread yet: consistent schedule. I'm less likely to visit again and again if the model isn't usually on when I'm on. I'm only going to change my schedule to follow a model if I've already decided I'm going to stick around.

Avatar and profile are only important in getting me to visit a room in the first place. I don't use tags.

I don't go in all that many different rooms--so my pool of "first times" being in a room is relatively small. That said, when I do end up in new room the only real factor that determines whether I'll come back again is whether or not I look back and say "Hey, that was a lot of fun." There are all kinds of smaller factors that add up to form the "fun" (a great personality, fun banter in the room, whether I was laughing my ass of or not, good music, feeling like I was treated genuinely well, etc.)--but for me the specific reasons aren't all that important--it's just a general feeling I get--kind of a "I think I'd like to do that again" type of thing.

Beyond that, a lot of it comes down to convenience. There are certain days of the week and times of the day that are really convenient for me to be on a cam site--there are other days/times that are impossible for me--so when schedules happen to match up, it helps. Obviously if I REALLY find a room fun I will make more of an effort to get my butt in there--but these are generally cases where I already am very familiar with the model/room. :-D

The story of how I ended up in my most varied rooms is kinda varied. One of them I found through Miss Mycamgirl, another I encountered in a G/G show, a number came from the Camgirl Mansion, a few I met in chat (or were endorsed by the girl whose room I was in) and there were a few where I stumbled into their rooms from the main page after seeing their avatar or preview picture. So it's a healthy mix of looks and attitude that gets me into a room at first.

What gets me to stick around, in a word, is enjoyment. It seems an easy answer, but simply put, I visit these sites in my free time, so if I'm not enjoying myself then I don't really have a reason to stick around. I usually give it a few minutes (the amount of which varies depending on time of day, mood, time available, etc.) and if there's no real "click" of any sort, then I'm heading elsewhere.

If there IS a click, then it's likely to come from a combination of their looks (I do like looking at pretty girls, after all) and the overall vibe I'm getting from everyone in the room. Friendly atmosphere, fun discussion and a good dose of humor are the main ingredients to a room I'll regularly try to return to as much as my schedule allows. Her profile also definitely helps (it's usually my first stop after entering a room and saying hi) as that gives me a feel for what I can expect, possible extra content I can buy, any specific things I should avoid talking about, etc.

What really makes a girl click for me, though, is the feeling that I'm among people (both the chat room and model) that seem like they'd be great to hang out with. The kind of stranger you could bump into at a music festival and spend a few hours just having fun. The kind of stranger that over time becomes some kind of weird internet friend that you've never met, but feel comfortable talking to about weirdly personal things.

I once misclicked, thanks to a refresh, and the room I ended up in I became a regular in. Shame that person is no longer around :(

I'll usually mouse over though, to get the preview. Then the profile, and if everything sounds interesting I join and try to interact. As others have said, schedule is another one.

Avatar gets me to enter, looks makes me stay more than a minute, but what gets me to stay is much more complex than just "personality" or "attitude." Simply being unique may get me to stay longer. Being very awake, like the model really cares about the bozos she's chatting with...and if it seems sincere...that will make me delay dinner. :)

At some point and for some reason, I just start looking at previews on the model list. If I think the girl is at least cute, I'll view her cam in Lounge 10k. If I'm not bored while watchin' in 10k, I'll eventually go in her room. Might be this session. Might not. I only look at profiles for video deals unless a model has an unusual amount of rules that I need to look at. For the most part, my normal behavior works fine for each room I go in.

When I'm not check previews on MFC, I'm usually trying to slowly venture into the rooms of ACF models and CamMansion models.

I love this!

I very much appreciate all the responses so far! I am wondering, if it's girls that don't really have that many people in their room, how can you tell if she would have a good atmosphere. I am guessing here is where YOUR first interaction with her comes in?

And it's great to know people do care about schedules and time online. I guess no one wants to put time and tokens into a girl that will only be around once a month.

I have been lurking ACF for a while now, and I came to think of members that post here as "the other MFC crowd". The not "hey BB" crowd! I love that you guys take the time to get to know girls here and actually understand what it is like for them as well. :)

Keep the responses coming! :h:

It's not the amount of people that makes the atmosphere, it's the quality and the degree to which they're all thinking along similar lines. I've had great experiences in rooms with 10 people and really bad ones in rooms with thousands, there's no real hard rule for it.

I am cautious around strangers, so low room counts can scare me off. I like to be able to get to know someone over time, and do not want to feel like I have to keep up a lively conversation with someone I just met. It is easier if I can hide among several people, until I feel comfortable.

Bingo, Yes , It is all about the interaction with me in low room counts. Yes , there is more of a chance for me . (cuz, u know she is not so busy(((....so the conversation can go anywhere for a long time. ofc as a tipper u should ,well tip , but u can spark an ideas, ect ect..... u get a feel for the response and u can see her and she can see you. body language ;0

i am not so shy, i talk to ppl in the grocery store , just stop me when i start to dance and sing to the store music.

I'm one of the MFC members that is not on site primarily for the sex stuff, but for a feeling of connectivity to other people, and to produce the illusion in my own mind that I'm not becoming a social recluse. I do a lot of freelance work on my computers in the evening, and a room provides some company to me.

So my reasons and path to choosing a room to spend time in might be a bit different.

I have a core group of three or four rooms where I can be found when online. Where I am is based on which of the models is about. All of these rooms share one quality, the models have created a unique atmosphere in their room, where there is a distinct feel and community there. There are in-jokes, the regs know each other, and the model is as much host as performer for us. She sets the conversations rolling, and gets the members pin-balling off each other. They create a social experience in addition to their sexy-time work. For me that is what I look for.

There are times when I find myself online and no regular room is live, and I search new places. How do I do that?

Sometimes I check out a room that a member-friend has recommended. Sometimes I follow up on a model that has cammed with one of the models I follow. Sometimes I check on a model that I noticed perving in one of my regular rooms (I tend to look at such perving models profiles when I see them in a core room).

And sometimes I search.

Profile picture does matter. I have a 'type' in looks, and though I'm not focusing on that side of thing, I freely admit that some women will make me feel more comfortable and interested based purely on my personal taste in looks. So I'll click on a room with a icon that indicates some of those qualities are about. Though I won't exclude due to a lack. If I see am energy, a smile, a welcoming quality I probably will check the model out.

I DO exclude based on some traits. There are some things that put me off. If I see it in the icon I'll move one. I don't like certain foods, so I don't go into the restraints that serve them. Same here. Does it cause me to miss out on occasion? I wager it does, but it's a cost I accept.

I do check profiles. They tell me a lot about a models personality. How she answers the questions, her focus on gift lists, how much of a unique 'club' for her members she has built, and so forth all make an impression on me. If I get the wrong vibe I'm off. If it all is cool to me, then I head into the room.

Once in the room, I want to have a chance to watch for a bit, see the rooms culture, and get a feel for the model. I'll notice of I'm greeted, and so on. If I'm comfortable I'll join into the activity. My audits run a bit. It, in my opinion, takes awhile to see if a room is a good fit. In larger rooms this is not a big deal, as there is always a lot going on, and so forth. In smaller rooms, I know that I'll feel a bit more pressure to interact, and that has it's own unique pluses and minuses. Will the model work to keep the conversation up? Or will I be left to hang? Does she work to engage the few people around?

Things can put me off. The ever popular sit there and do nothing pose, the focus on the cell phone and not the room will cause me to wander off.

I'm not a fan of smoking, cigarettes in specific. I'll tend to wander off if I see them used. That's personal. Just bad luck on the models part.

How does the model treat then people in her room? Does she give basics and guests a chance to speak? Let them do so until "That basic" ruins it and gets them muted? Does she respect them as people? Or does she play 'ban the basic' games, which I personally feel are pretty insulting. I've seen models who have basics and guests muted say things like "Guests and Basics are pointless, and should premium up or die." That sort of stuff bothers me. I leave.

I've had the pleasure of being kicked from a room I'm auditing by a model running her list and booting every name she had gotten no tips from in the past 30 minutes. He choice of course. But it's not a real way to make me feel welcome or wanted. I don't return.

Bad sound quality is a true issue to me. If listening is just difficult, then my stay will be unhappy. If it's a new room, I'll go. Certain types of music will drive me out of a room. I'm looking to relax, and some tunes work against that. Models always can choose what they like, and if I don't like it, I'll move along.

Unique style can hold my attention. Many of the performance art oriented models are wonderful to watch. I'm apt to stay in their rooms just to see what will happen next. If I'm without a regular room to visit, and not in the mood to search, then I'm very apt to click into one of these types of room to spend some time. They are just interesting. I'm sure most folks here can build a list of the usual suspects that fit this mold.

Overall, looks are not going to hold me in a room, it's the personality, interactivity, and overall culture of the room that do. How does the place feel? Is it comfortable? If so, then I'm apt to be there.

Don't get discouraged if some members that seem to enjoy hanging out with you don't stick around for too long. Some either aren't into hanging out with the same model or aren't allowed to hang out with the same model. Doesn't mean you are doing anything wrong, just the way some members are.

For me lower room counts can be nice. One model I enjoy spending time with has at most 50 in her room (including guests and basics) and about 15 regulars. This is kinda nice, as it allows the regulars to form a bit of a circle and chat together and with the model. And while she does not make wads of cash we do make sure to tip her regularly.

I have tried some of the top rooms on MFC (Miss MFC winners) and honestly I didn't really enjoy my time there. It was quite hard to have a conversation with the model or other prems, because there were just so many there.

I'm not big into small room counts, with a small amount of exceptions, but I feel ya on the super large room counts in top model rooms. I don't get a chance to stand out as much in the super large rooms.

Yeah, there is definitely a limit to this for me too. If there are less than 5 guys, I find I am often the only 1 talking and that gets a bit awkward after 10 minutes lol

Always found it fascinating how I have selected models and how this has changed over the years. The member journey can be an interesting one, there are some amazing models to enjoy out there.

In short....Yes, yes, profile can be a factor, avatars work only if it reflects who the model is on cam, and hardly ever except the new tag.
Keep in mind preview options for first visits too (visits as a guest, spying from lounges, and the preview feature). Some models just keep catching your attention (avatars/ rankings/ consistent times on/ next to your favourite models), and you get curious.

Only a few minutes, sometimes I test a first impression a bit.

The reasons for first interest can vary alot depending on taste and mood. 'Sticking with a girl' for me involves character traits I need to enjoy someones company, attentiveness in particular. I guess I am like most people, we want someone who is good company to spend free time with, or someone who can share in that thing we like most (i.e. a fetish, taste in music/ games, or just chat). If I am smiling when I leave someone, I like will be back the next time.

One extra that works for me is someone who asks for a return visit... A hello next time she sees me is enough. Friendships must be active, moment to moment, those not cared for are lost.

In a female perspective who loves cam girls. What makes me stay is overall genuine hearts. When you can see a girls beauty without seeing her naked. When there personality can just brighten your day cause they are so filled with comedy and joy and there overall sweetness. Examples of these models are: KendraD, RAVINTAVIN, TURBO, IAMIRIS. Those are just a few, but they are my favorite :D

Looks are usually what get me in the door but personality is what keeps me coming back. Also to a lesser extent its a plus if her existing regulars aren't jerks.

I think I might be the first model to give you input, but in my opinion, just be yourself! It won't bring everyone in, and there will be some who simply just don't like you, but that's ok! I play my Heavy Metal music every shift, and I'm sarcastic and I cuss a lot. A lot of members come into my room, hear my music and either A.) bitch about it for 5 minutes or B.) they just leave. It's ok with me, that's one member I don't have to hear bitching about how he doesn't like my style. When you're acting like yourself you bring in the crowd that's more like you, that are interested in the things you are, and it makes camming a whole hell of lot less stressful.
