You make an important point. In any artistic endeavor, there are niches. You found one that works quite well for you. While it suits someone like you with the skill set you have, it won't necessarily work for others. However, I think it is very necessary to hear about your experiences. Models need to know they have many options and pathways to success and should explore them, not just default to basics. Everything you do will be perceived one of three ways: some will love it, some will hate it and some will not care either way. You just need to be yourself and you will attract subs if your character is more dominant along with your tags/description.
