Hey,
I originally posted this on WeCamgirls but i thought i might share it here as well.
I'm an independent cam girl and i would like to share my experience with
Xotika.TV
Caming is more of a hobby to me and an extra source of income and I usually work a few hours a week during summer vacations.
I found out about Xotika.TV by mistake, then one night i thought i give it a shot. I failed at my first attempt only to find out later after contacting support that the platform is still in beta so my old laptop with firefox was not working. When you register, they use some sort of captcha to verify u'r not a robot and mine failed to load at first.
I tried again over the weekend when i got home and access the site from my bf's PC. It worked like a charm. You need to browse it with Chrome and have a good system configuration for best experience.
For me it was easier since i got a bit of help so i thought i would share this with you.
First, when you enter the site, after confirming age and captcha, you are automatically given a Guest User with unlimited privileges and a corresponding Bitcoin wallet. This is to help viewers load their ballance and tip models easier, faster, without registration.
When you choose to register, either you are a perfomer or viewer, the process is identic. Click Register, choose your username, password and email adress (you will need it later for withdrawals).
If you are a Viewer, then you are done. You allready picked up your custom username and all future ranks, reputation, status, etc will increase automatically acording to your activity on the site.
Models, you have one more step. Once registered, you need to create your room, or Channel as they call it. For that you need to go to the upper right corner under MY CHANNEL section, write your room's name (ex: Kitty's room) and click +ADD CHANNEL.
Click on your newly created channel, and you will be asked by Chrome plugin to allow the use of your camera. Click Allow and you will get a live preview of your cam. Once you are done just click START and you will be streaming online.
You can Shake your chat room, clear its text and kick/ban users with simple clicks. Also you can set goals for your viewers by changing your Default Channel Topic whenever you want.
If you want some extra settings just go up and click EDIT CHANNEL. Here you can update your Channel Bio, upload pictures, select category, etc.
Blocking viewers from your country can be done under SETTINGS tab . Just add country to Filter list.
Last and the most important is your Wallet where you can see detailed history of earnings, tips, withdrawals, etc.
If you have some btc to withdraw go to My Wallet from Channel Settings. Click Collect Funds then Withdraw Bitcoins.
Now it gets a bit tricky, my guess is for security reasons.
For this step, you need to have 2FA (2 Factor Auth). I installed Google Authentificator on my Android but it's also available on iPhone's. First you need to open Authentificator on your smartphone and scan the QR code displayed on the screen. After that your
Xotika account will be linked with Google Authentificator and will generate confirmation codes every 20 seconds (you will need this for withdrawals).
So now that you have your Authentificator, confirm again you are not a robot by clicking on the Capcha and after selecting the corresponding pictures, complete the code generated by your smartphone. Again, pay attention as it changes every 20 seconds.
Now you have validated your Authentificator. This process has to be done only once. Your future withdrawals will be easier.
Now insert your personal Bitcoin wallet adress into the field, along with the code generated again by Authentificator and click Withdraw.
After the site takes it's cut, you will receive 50% from your total earnings.
Bitcoin is like digital money and for that, you need a wallet to hold it. install Mycelium wallet on your smartphone and you will be able to receive your bitcoins. Basically you just transfer your coins from your Xotika.TV wallet to your smartphone's wallet. Viewers tip you in mBtcs witch at the time of this post 1 mbtc = 0.29 $ .
One night, after hanging around for an hour or so, i made some 100 mbtc (28$) just by chatting with the folks over there and showing them the ocassional titty flash. From what i noticed, viewers over there are not your regular joes. They are bitcoin enthusiasts and most of them never visited a cam site before. They are fascinated by bitcoin and i noticed many talking about stock-exchanges, markets , economy and related topics. They seem nice, smart, generous but don't like you to beg for tips.
There is no option for Private Shows yet, but i didn't need it taking in consideration that at my hottest moment i had 30 users online. Plus, bitcoiners love to compete sometimes and tips are a fancy way for them to do that.
So now that you made some bitcoins and have them on your smartphone, you can spend them literally anywhere and on everything using debit-card solutions like e-coin.io or you can find local buyers on localbitcoins.com.
Overall, the experience was great and i will totally come back.
On the plus side, the platform is slik, works amazingly fast, comunity is growing and bitcoin looks pretty awsome. Future looks promissing.
Frankly, Xotika.TV has reinvented the cam industry by enabeling the fastest, most efficient and least risky way for models to earn bitcoins while viewers are able to tip even if they have not created an account.
On the down side, keep in mind you won't be able to enjoy the full experience of this new concept/technology if you don't have a good computer with good internet conectivity. Being just launched and all that, they have plenty of hours when the site has no models streaming. I personally got myself because i wanted to get some bitcoins. Was not disappointed.
Also DO YOUR RESEARCH and learn about bitcoin . It's fast and easy to use once you get to know it but can be tricky at first. In a way, bitcoiners seem to be new to cam sites and we're new to bitcoin.
Hope this explains a bit to the curious ones. Aldo it's easy now, I wouldn't make it without help.
Ciao
