Hey, im Ptownndown, a bit of a newbie when it comes to being a cam model and I'm looking for any sort of help or advice with a frustrating ban situation.
I first tried streaming on Chaturbate like 8+ years ago, I did it here and there a couple of times per year for fun, but it wasn't until the last couple of months that I started doing it fairly regularly and I started getting into a grove with it (getting consistent solid viewer numbers on a regular basis and w/e). Sometime in late December I was streaming and engaging with my viewers both in the main chat in the pms and about 10-15 messages into a back and forth with one of my viewers, they said they were 14. I immediately stopped responding to them and just ignored them. They continued to send me messages, but I just ignored them and continued to engage with my other viewers instead. Later in my stream I had sort of forgot about them and I sent an emoji to several different of my unread pms because I don't normally ignore most of my viewers. Without thinking about it, I think I may have sent this viewer I was ignoring an emoji when I sent out a bunch of emojis to my different pms.
Next time I log on, it says I'm banned and just gives me a link to submit a support ticket. I was very confused as to why and I immediately submitted a ticket asking about it.
Fast forward to 3 weeks later (I'd gotten no response or explanation as to why I was banned) and I finally get a response saying I was permanently banned for "participated in underage role play" and "Due to your permanent ban we are unable to assist further and may not respond to additional emails."
I never said anything to this person after they gave an age. I in no way "participated in underage role play" unless you count the emoji that I sent to all of my PMs at that time as "participation". It is extremely frustrating because I felt like I was finally getting into the swing of things with my stream and establishing a reasonable income from it. I realize now I probably should have just banned the user from my chat rather than just ignore them, but I didn't have any moderators at the time and I didn't think about it. It sucks being accused of something awful that I didn't do and being told my attempts to correct the mistaken punishment will be ignored.
Is there anything I can do? Is there something I'm missing?

Thank you in advance!

Unfortunately simply ignoring someone that claims to be underage is not sufficient. You must immediately ban that user, report their account, take screenshots of your actions, and a follow up email to support to report the incident is likely a good idea. Anything less and CB considers it "engaging in underage role play". I wish CB made it clearer in their TOS the correct way to handle this situation, but unfortunately they don't and it catches a number of broadcasters that don't know how to correctly handle the situation.

@punker barbie may, or may not, be able to help you in this situation.

Also, does the ptown in your username refer to Provincetown MA? I keep my boat at Flyer's

Thank you, I appreciate the response. Actually I'm from OR, though I've learned about a lot of different P-towns since I started streaming. Ya, I definitely didn't realize that I needed to do more than ignore that user. Loosing all of time time and effort I put into growing my channel really sucks and it's seeming more and more likely that it's just all gone forever. I haven't found another site that has felt comfortable to me yet, so I might just move on from streaming entirely :(
I've had a couple of fans reach out to me via other services asking what happened, but I didn't really know what to tell them due to very slow initial response and essentially being told it was already finalized and they can't help me because I'm banned.

@punker barbie do you think there is anything else I can do or try to correct this or am I SOL? I know they responded to me initially, but after I responded explaining what happened, I was met with "This matter was fully reviewed before final action was taken. Due to your permanent ban we are unable to assist further". I'm not sure how the review lead to the ban due to my lack of interaction in the situation and I wish it was explained a bit better if there was an actual review. I appreciate any help or insight you can provide :)
