Let's start with predictions for Clash of Champions.

Kickoff show: Nia Jax vs. Alicia Fox

Quite possibly the easiest match to predict. Alicia may get in a bit more offense, but Nia's winning.

Chris Jericho vs. Sami Zayn

Jericho doesn't need the win, and to propel Sami closer to a title match, he should get this one.

Cesaro vs. Sheamus in Match 7 (series tied 3-3)

Sheamus has been heavyweight champ before, but Cesaro hasn't. He needs something to make him a bit more credible at this point. Cesaro wins.

T.J. Perkins vs. Brian Kendrick for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship

Brian Kendrick is old, which means even if he did win, his reign wouldn't be that long. Giving TJ the victory would also mean he'd have a bit more credibility beating someone who is pre-established in the WWE.

Rusev vs. Roman Reigns for the United States Championship

As much as I love Ru Ru, the way Reigns has been trashed every week leading up to the PPV tells me there's gonna be a title change. Unfortunately, I see Reigns winning.

The New Day vs. Gallows and Anderson for the Raw Tag Team Championship

I really want Gallows and Anderson to win, because they've been handled so poorly ever since they jumped ship. However, nothing leading up to Clash convinces me that they will. But I'm still not bored of New Day, so I don't have too much of a problem with them winning.

Charlotte vs. Sasha Banks vs. Bayley for the Raw Women’s Championship

This is probably the toughest to predict. I don't see Bayley winning, considering she just got on the main roster, so it's a toss up between Sasha and Charlotte. I could see Dana interfering and helping Sasha win, or they could hint that happening only for Dana to, yet again, help Charlotte. But I'm gonna go with my gut feeling and say Sasha gets another win to build up to the inevitable Sasha/Bayley re-re-rematch.

Kevin Owens vs. Seth Rollins for the Universal Championship

I can see Trips interfering again to help KO, which would further set up a Trips/Rollins match at Wrestlemania like they wanted at this past Wrestlemania. Either way, I don't see KO losing the belt this early. He'll probably come out on top.

I'm about a month behind on my WWE viewing. I'll participate when I'm caught up.

I feel soooo old mentioning my faves when I was a kid. I knew it was "fake" but it was the best drama and it was almost like these guys were giving it their all and doing such death defying feats like when superfly jumped off the top of a steel cage, or all the razor blade cuts to show damage. I have no clue about the stars today, but I do fondly remember the heros and villans of yesteryear. It all kind of ended for me with WrestleMania 1.

25 years ago I would have been all over this thread. Sorry, but I respect it!

I'm a pretty casual WWE fan now, I used to love it as a young teen during the Attitude era, got out of watching it completely for many years

I tell you one thing that annoys me about the current product (I know I'm being picky with this btw); I'm a big MMA (mainly UFC fan) so I know the basics of BJJ and submissions...

WWE matches are suppose to be a shoot fight right, but they get put into subs like arm bars in which once locked in, unless you tap, straight away you will get your arm snappd.. nope! not in the WWE universe, you just go "ahhh!" a bit then somehow get out of it lol

^ Also when a wrestler wrestler taps from a submission, the referees first move should be to release the hold, not wave off the match and signal for the bell :s

There are too many MMA fans nowadays who know about submissions for them not to style them properly in WWE

Haven't watched much recently but did manage to catch the last two days of the G1 and am almost finished watching the Cruiserweight Classic.

Current fav five

Omega
Naito
Shibata
Jack Gallagher
Matt Riddle

All time fav five

Rick Rude
Bret Hart
Kurt Angle
Scott Steiner
Randy Savage

Ehhhhhh I feel so ehhhhh about that no contest ending.

Edited to say this is in re: Shaemus/Cesaro for the uninitiated.

It's a good mid-card feud between two of the better workers in the ring. I could see them dragging this rivalry out all the way up to Survivor Series, really.

Clash of Champions was RAW in a nutshell sadly: a bunch of supremely talented wrestlers having great matches in front of a crowd who wanted to like the show, being handcuffed by shit "creative", stalled momentum, non-sensical results and horrendous finishes.

Got around to watching Omega/Okada from Wrestle Kingdom. Was nuts. Deserving of all the praise it received. Vids of two of the more wild spots below. No room for error and even if things go as planned, which they do, still brutal spots I wouldn't want to take.

Need to watch that UK tournament next. Pete Dunne sounds right up my alley.
