A question I want to ask everyone. Why some Stripchat users always repeat in this two status?

01.JPG ←→01 2.JPG

This situation always happens after they tipped a lot of tokens (even over 4000 tokens)
After they tipped tokens, their account status often change to this one until next time they come. (Then these users repeat change in this two status)

↑ Yesterday. It's turn that this member's account resurrected

According to observation, these users often is red (royal) level (even some users only spend 1-2month become red levels)
Do they change to this status and use cheat program to get fake/ hack/cheat token? Or just I misunderstood?
Thank for your all answer.

I believe they do it for privacy. They come to the site spend their tokens and leave until the next time they purchase tokens and reactivate the account.

Probably to send a message that they’re currently ‘offline’ for a while/taking a break. I’ve done that before.

I have a guy on SextPanther who will add me to his contacts list…spend money chatting with me and unlocking my paid videos…and then he’ll deactivate his account. Then he’ll rejoin at a later time and do it all over again. He’s done it SEVERAL times, and he said that he does it so someone doesn’t find out what he’s up to. No idea if it’s an ex-wife/gf/baby’s mama or current wife/gf/baby’s mama.

It’s sketchy, and my hunch is that fraud is happening.

The first attachment "this user has limited who can view the profile" means he either has your country blocked, your gender blocked, etc. The one with the grayed out profile photo area is an account that has been disabled by the user .... several users do this when they are not online, the account is disabled...they enable it only while they are online ...

You have misunderstood. There is nothing nefarious going on.... just people that want to be private

I thought that when it says "limited who can view" refers to the 5 options in your profile settings (Profile visibility). I don't think a user can block by region or gender, can we?

But it's definitely strange, clearly the ones who have deleted their account have deleted it, not just blocked anything.
Some people, as mentioned above, do it for various reasons but not necessarily for fraud or anything else, surely if they kept doing this it would bring even more attention to themselves, and if you're trying to commit a crime you try to stay under the radar. The likely explanation is regret, either spending too much or whatever else.

When a new user rockets to red/legend in just weeks and then suddenly goes gray, something sketchy, maybe fraudulent is happening.

im pretty sure they are done jerking off/spending money. super common for users to delete their accounts after they finish. how do i know? i would sell videos during group shows, go to send them after my stream ended only for some users to have no account. some would come back a few days or weeks bugging me about their missing vids with zero record of payment.

some people dont want active porn accounts for whatever reason.

If you’re in Royal/Legend league you can mask your league and drop down the leagues 🤷🏻‍♂️ nothing sketchy per se, probably just wanting to hide.

ETA: even deleting their account - probably felt they’ve overspent or just want to take a break. I know from experience that ‘deleting’ your account can help, psychologically, with taking a break from websites.

They just want privacy. They do not want other users or models sending them message or to get any notifications sent to them while they are away. ... You are being overly skeptical. I have seen a "Legend" user after only 6 days on the site. Some people have plenty of money to spend and it is their business and no one else's...that is why they want PRIVACY.
Also if they delete the account so it looks "gray" in the profile photo, they can reactivate the account when they return.

I’m still skeptical and becoming a “legend” in 6 days is addiction.

There are plenty of people who can afford spending like that. Seriously $500 is like $5 to them.

I think some of ya are being quiet judgemental to a pretty normal cam habits for a good amount of cam members. Why not focus on having fun instead of worrying how others manage their accounts and spending habits? Because the latter sounds exhausting and obsessive. Especially if you find yourself wanting to argue with our very rational explanations based on our own experience and observation.

There is a vast difference between visiting a room, spending some tokens and becoming a SC “legend” in 6 days. Any medical professional will classify that as addiction.

I’m not blaming cam models for the addictive habits of users, rather I blame the sites for allowing addictive behavior. The sites need more government regulation to protect people.

No they won’t, please be quiet, you are making yourself look terrible. I’m actually retired, but used to be a therapist who worked in mental health and addictions. So I was a person who diagnosed and treated people with addictions, and mental health disorders.

I also worked extensively in the criminal justice system, with people who were found guilty by insanity to all kinds of violent crimes. Usually murder and or attempted murder, and sex crimes.

And you are 100% wrong. If a person has the money and the time, and it is not interfering negatively in their life, or their relationships, then it is not an addiction at all. They can stop at will when they want, and are just having fun. Like others have said, please don’t be so judgmental and stay in your own lane. Or perhaps jealous?

Don’t impose your values and your situation on others, that is called projection. And do not say what medical professionals or mental health professionals would say, because clearly you don’t know any.

As a recovering addict/alcoholic and someone who battles mental health issues, I co-sign this message

Your definition of addiction is accurate, but you don’t know the life situation of every user on the sites. Like gambling, there needs to be regulatory safeguards for the public.

you don’t know the life situation of every user on the sites.
And either do you.

Something like 1% of the general population suffer with addiction. The other 99% don’t need to be police because of that. Those of us that suffer with addiction, go to treatment and learn to recognize our triggers, and have plans. You don’t need to unnecessarily police the other 99% of people around, because of that. I think that your thinking on this is absolutely ridiculous, but probably just completely uninformed and naïve. Go ahead and keep stubbornly clinging to this opinion. But it is wrong.

When people come out with stuff like this, it is actually quite harmful to people with addiction, because it opens up the door for the very common issue where people blame their addictions on others. And fail to take responsibility. You will find that a lot of addicts purposefully surround themselves with people who will not challenge them, and who will enable them, and be really soft and not real . A big part of treatment is learning to take responsibility for your addiction, and your triggers yourself. Not to blame outside circumstances or others. And not to expect other people to be in control of what you do, and do not do, and how you react to triggers. So your thinking on this,in my opinion, is harmful to people with addiction, and is completely just outside of the lane of what you need to be worrying about 🤦‍♀️ it’s just cringe to me on so many levels.

I get it there’s a forum and young people ( and some grown people too) don’t wanna lose face and have egos, like I totally get it. But you are wrong.

Sure, and while we’re at it, why don’t we also have more government regulation on e-commerce spending limits, since shopping can be an addiction. Let’s not even limit it to internet stores, let’s also regulate how people spend their money at brick and mortar stores, because shopping addiction! And why stop there, food addiction is very real and can lead to a plethora of health conditions. Let’s put more regulations on restaurants and grocery stores to make sure people aren’t feeding their food addiction. Video gaming can also be become an addiction. Let’s have the government regulate how long gamers can play games and how many video games they can buy in a month.

Ooooorrrr maybe we can just let grown ass adults spend their time and money how they want and not put the responsibility of a person’s mental health on the sites they use. If someone is battling addiction, it’s their responsibility to seek help.

I also think it’s insane that anyone would actively call for MORE government regulation, for anything really, but especially for an industry that is so stigmatized and currently facing government backlash. Like, sure, let’s trust politicians to fairly police/regulate an industry that so many of them have publicly condemned. But I’m curious, how exactly would you propose the government to impose regulations on the camming/adult industry?

And I want to add this is not the time politically for people to think that they are doing cam models a favor by espousing and embracing conservative views, which will do more harm than good. Think critically, and do some real research people, don’t just blindly listen and go along to the first idea that a politician shoves down your throat.

ETA; Also, I got confused with my statistics. That was the amount of people who have a certain mental condition with cooccuring addiction. It’s actually a higher percentage of people that struggle with addiction. But it is still a minority. However, there are a lot more than one percent of people that suffer from addiction. I think it’s more like 10 to 20%. My apologies on that. I do and have done a lot of research on these topics but I also have issues with transposing numbers and percentages and stuff.

Gambling is a medium to attain higher wealth based on chance where there is an inherent risk that one would lose money, with the odds stacked against the player.

On camsites and adult content platforms you ‘pay’ for a service(s) provided by an adult performer. Services paid for, services rendered.

There’s a big difference.

lol kevin. by your definition, i can argue that you're addicted to obsessing over how grown-ass men freely choose how to spend their money. it's been over six days since your last post about it.

Are you a medical professional, or just reading the mind of some random medical professional? I would say you have a mental condition to be so obsessed about other people's money and business that you can only seem to negatively speculate about.

Obviously I touched a nerve among the cam models by raising questions about the industry they work in. From a practical standpoint, more consumer protections are needed on these sites. Users should be reminded that tokens are spent currency. Tipping 100 tokens is $20. With models lavishing attention on lonely users, people can easily lose track of how much money they’re spending on sites.

No, adults just need to take personal responsibility for managing their way through this journey called life, every aspect of it.

No, I don’t support the Libertarian approach. We have too many temptations in life, and sometimes we need protections from bad decision making.
