Like 24/7. Is that the person doing other works and being logged in the room (or) is the person trying to auto-record the show whenever the model logs in?

Seen this too.
Suspect some at least just don't close down their browser in between shows (more likely if they're coloured users that have tokens), and some (more likely to be greys) are the bots that do what we don't like to discuss.

It can happen. It has happened to me. A tab open in a browser window that I had minimized and forgot about.

Some may do it deliberately rather than accidentally.
Especially on sites where the stream reconnects automatically without having to refresh the page.

I left CB open for almost a week. Had forgotten about it and went out of town.

That would depend on how many computer/browsers/tabs I have 3 different computers that I used on a daily basis (2 desktops and a laptop) each have at least chrome/firefox, and each has multiple windows each with a bunch of tabs. 2 of the devices are simply because switching the laptop from its display (1080p) to the giant monitor rearranges everything so I avoid doing that. So the laptop is purely mobile and the 2 high use locations have desktops with 40inch monitors.

I find that soooo weird. But I like to think that they forgot it open.

What drives me crazier is when they just sit there staring at me and will leave when I leave and come back when I come back. They don't tip, don't say a word. Just stay there. It feels like someone is in my living room just sitting there, all day long, staring at me, like a ghost or something. It's so creepy!

I have waited for the model as well. But just doesn't been in the room for several days without leaving.

I don't know what your last sentence is saying. You're saying "But just doesn't make sense being in the room for several days without leaving?"

If that's what you mean...yes, I would definitely prefer that members just exit my chat when they're finished chatting with me...rather than stay logged in for such a long time. It makes it look like they're lurking my chat for hours at a time (which I'm not cool with).

The only time I might intentionally stay in a model’s room when she’s offline is when she specifically tells me she’ll be back soon (lunch break, for example). Even in those cases, I usually still leave and come back later.

But I have occasionally just opted to leave the browser window open and hang out until she returns.

Once in a great while I’ll leave a window or tab open by accident, but that’s more common with vanilla websites. I tend to remember to close the tab on cam sites.
