why i don't like cops

cops are people... and if they act like civilized human beeings, they shouldn't be hated on
however... alot of them dont.
police officers are not taught to act like that, and they are also taugh what kind of behavier that brings
reason i never went to police school (i really wanted to) is because you are not suposed to be a normal human beeing when on duty
you are to stay away from any emotional responses, and basically get taught to not 'give a shit'
sure... when you have a desk job, this won't be as heavy as i picture now, but it's a big part of the study you go through
if besides all that a police officer then decides to be even more of an asshole, yeah i think they deserve to be hated on

i always love when i hear stories about cops doing really awsome things, but are those stories common?
not really.. and i think that reflects what alot of police officers put into their job
us silly civilians are sheep... so as long as shit like this keeps happening, the hate keeps happening
it's a perfectly normal response to the behavier that alot of cops show

what happened to cam is a fucking disgrace, any direction you put it in...
none of his posts made me believe that he would hate or mistreat a cop just because he is one
it's just a two side story, and i think he was really respecting the cops in a way they didn't deserve

if this kinda shit happened in an eldery home, or some other intitution, the whole world would go insane
so how is that different in a jail? ofcourse most people there have comitted some sorta crime
but haven't we all made mistakes? some are just lucky to get away with it

i'm not taking about murderers or rapist or any other sick fucks, but eric wouldn't be free is he belonged into those categories...

i remmeber when i was working at imigration office as a security guard, the stuff the other guards, and the police would say about the people coming there was disgusting
and it was not like just one guard and one cop were just joking rudely
it was putting down people in a way that sickened me

they told me alot of times that i didn't have to be so nice to these people
why the fuck not? this is where i learned how rotten the police department and the whole thing around can be
just because these people come to another country based on fairytales, and their culture is the oposite of mine?
no no no... that's not how it works.... but its easy like that.... isn't it?
never one day... have i misstreated these people... i don't see how i could possible gain any respect from them doing that

and then you come to the core of it all... respect deserves respect
but more important: beeing respected means beeing respectful first!

Well, in Cam's defense, the only thing that hints at any dislike of 'all' cops is the thread title. The last words of the original post read, "I do not dislike all cops, just most."

Thank you LordM. I had said as much and then made it about half way through, what I think are some legit responses to some of Just Me's concerns. And so my point of view might not seem so limited, I had hoped to make some references to some things I witnessed that were not during the years of my disparagement, but rather from a 7 year period of time I spent in Austin TX. A seven year period of time that I spent all of involved in community service to some degree. For the last 3 years of that time I often worked 40-70 hours a week between a soup kitchen, a homeless resource center, and safe place, a shelter/safe home for woman who need such a place. I thought to do this not to buoy my character, but rather that the my point of view seem a bit less limited.

Sadly in collecting some links to information I thought might be enlightening, I discovered that a man who I once knew very well, and also a wonderful person, died almost a year ago. I lost all focus on my post in the other tab and at some point closed it out. Sometimes life gets in the way of my bombastic selfindulgence. I'm sure I will not let life have much time though, and will be back soon enough.
