While not a dedicated professional; I have been on the fringes since the mid nineties.
My number one reason has to do with prostate surgery which I will not go into details on.
I will say though back in the beginning it was a far less intense and free environment. People just wanted to come and go. The rooms were very good at policing themselves. If someone got out of line; the got shunned very quickly.

This corporate focus on tokens takes the energy out of a room. The way it’s being marketed comes dangerously close to offering services which will bring unwanted attention. The monthly fees never had the problem since you were selling site access along with a certain level of privacy.
not casting dispersions rather trying to offer feedback and be a good netizen.
If we don’t then we risk rolling back to
the Hayes Code era.
