Okay, so there's this SUPER BEAUTIFUL laptop that I found online for $799, which is found at the link below...

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Samsung+-+L ... Id=9728443

Which would take me a few months to get because my checks aren't that much yet.
Now, I really want a laptop so my boyfriend and I stop fighting over who's on the computer when I want to be on cam, and when he wants to be on WoW.
So I found a laptop that I could possibly get with my next couple checks which is at the next link for $329...

Keep in mind that it's not REQUIRED to have a built-in webcam since I already have a Logitech C500 (which I will be upgrading from soon, I promise). I'm just worried about the computer crashing, the free space, etc. I don't know much about computers, so if someone could help me decide, it would be great :)

EDIT: I know I decided before you guys got a chance to reply. But with the help of Jennie, I've decided to get the Compaq until my checks start getting bigger. Btw, I'm naming her Priscilla when I buy her :)

But, sometimes I wish I did :(

It's creepy as fuck. The orgasms are usually a bit stronger, but you don't know that it happened because you were busy orgasming and you get to be paranoid about what everyone thought of the weird thing you just did.

<_<

Then your room smells like sex and you have to shampoo your carpets to get the sex smell to lighten.

Never had a problem with Dells myself. My buddy will only buy Dell. I've had a few now (laptops and PCs) and they're all been great. My Gateway had some issues, but most people love them. Quality can vary too much from one computer to the next in a single company, I think value for the price should be the more important issue.

Yeah, my boyfriend doesn't like that I wanna get a laptop right away, but it's ultimately my money so it doesn't really matter.

And, I wouldn't get a Gateway, ever. My boyfriend bought a new one when we first got together in November and it crashed 2 months later.

Like I said, you can have that issue with any computer, it's not really about brand. Most people I know buy one brand, love it and then stick with it. It generally has nothing to do with the company when a product is bad, it just means that that particular system might have had a flaw in it.

^^ This is a very good point!

Hi,

i'm a long time lurker, first time poster :-D

I didn#t want to start a new thread, but had a little question you girls especially might be able to help me with, i'am looking for a good, but not to expensive webcam for a model to start working from home. Thought you might be able to tell me more than i would read in some boring online reviews :D
It would be interesting which works well at home, without any kind of profesional lighting, which supports or has a remote, how is the sound of the mic or is a separate mic needed. well that kind of stuff would be interesting :)
I've heard of the Sony EVI D100, but well... that's just about ten times the price i thought of :D
Hope you can help :)

P.s.: Really great idea with the board here

Firstly, new topic = new thread. You'll get more replies and won't be an ass by stealing someone else's topic. :p

It sounds like what you want is a logitech orbit, or logitech pro 9000 (no rotation.) The orbit doesn't come with a remote, but it can move with a click so you can get a USB remote and macro it if you know what you're doing.

A lot of models use these two with no issues.

Logitech pro 9000. Roughly $60-80 and best there is out there, IMHO.

OK when I started this, no one else had replied, really....

I believe most use a Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000.

No remote, built in mic and it is most likely the best bang for the buck. I have one I use when talking to family, great picture, good sound.

Any expense if used for work and not provided by your employer is tax deductible (in the US anyway).

For example when I was in the Navy if I went out in town for a hair cut, I could use it as a deduction. I was required to have my hair cut in a certain way.

Uniforms on the other hand were not, they gave you an annual allowance for them.

Considering before mfc all I needed was a few, of course they are! And sexy costumes. And jewelry I buy. I'm going to look into taking half my part of rent off as well, since I work from home. Not to mention all the toilet paper and paper towels I have to use for clean-up. :p
