If your a legit studio (like have a studio on a reputable clip site) and have all the documents you can also hire a girl to film stuff in her own house/apartment and give you the video/rights (make sure they sign 2257 forms)

Most girls will not work with just some RANDOM dude who has 0 experience/0 references. Your going to have to get a good reputation for girls to work with you and have a Clips4sale store or ManyVids store to prove your legit and not some weirdo who wants the clips for tube sites/jerking off.

Also invest in a DSLR or SLRS for shooting/ get a great lighting kit. Make sure your space is awesome for shooting in (looks professional) as well.

1. Live in an area where producing porn is legal and active
2. Invest in filming equipment and an area you can shoot
3. Make connections in the adult industry, doing everything you can to show you are now a LEGIT producer.
4. Pay a model or models the appropriate rate and cut, and film/edit your shoot
5. Decide on your distribution model and use it.

Or I guess you can beg someone else to do all the leg work so you can make money. That's good too.

I am be way off topic range but i'm interested in what or how models think about this... it is good to know many and diverse opinions
A model will rather try and sell 20 clips (on a niche website) in a month for 1000$ or a clip to a stranger for 400$ ? (fictive amounts)
My question is inspired by the main topic and some replies. I'm genuinely interested on all replies because there are some factors here and some models can take advantage of that. (assuming replies are good to take in consideration).
I put myself in the shoos of the buyer (for just a second) and ask myself how much I can invest in a single video and which are the criteria to convince myself to buy an exclusive video?
- high quality video
- exclusivity
- length of the clip
- story-line
- how popular is the seller (model)
- post production and editing
- marketing the product and of course selling the product
There are so many models here which don't have to "exercise" their imagination and put themselves in the shoos of the seller

I have done trades like this with other models who don't live near me; I have a friend in another state and she sends me clips and I send her clips. We already have 2257 forms so I send her a list of what I want filmed and she does the same for me. This works out for both of us because over the course of 10-20 years these clips will make me a lot of money. When I'm letting go of my content (I take high pride in my stuff) it's going to make whoever has it a lot of money that I'm never going to see so yes I would want a fair amount. I feel like any girl who does this with an HD set up/ high quality lighting/ a big fan base / etc is going to want a fair amount. Also those are the girls who are going to make you the money. So in the end it's an investment for the producer. I started hiring girls last year and started my own production company and sometimes I make a lot from one girl and sometimes I loose money (even if she has a following and shoots great). Content making is like playing Russian roulette you never know what is going to sell and what is going to fail.

As a producer with experience you already know that market is changing (some producers can't keep up) and your targeted audience is your "Ace in hand" so yes I have to agree with you... On the other hand, being a producer you tend to think "globally" in perspective and most of the regular models don't think like that... --- as example you can see hundreds of crappy video materials uploaded for sale, suffocating little but HQ content --- and that's a fact (and a subject for other discussion).

If I was a producer, most likely I was searching to collaborate with big names from the industry, performers with experience, a brand, golden reputation --- and yes in this context the money have lots of zeros for implied parties.
