Here's a REALLY odd one, another George Barris custom job from the Frank Sinatra film "Marriage on the Rocks". It was also used in episodes of the "Get Smart" TV series. The "Zebra Mustang"

Here's a classic that's not as well known. The George Barris-customized Buick Villa Riviera. It was originally red, then painted white for a James Darren/Bob Denver film, and later repainted into the blue shade pictured here.

EDIT: This is the car as originally painted.

I think I saw this car (or one very similar) in an episode of "Outer Limits". :twocents-02cents:

It wouldn't surprise me. Barris cars tended to get reused in a lot of TV shows & movies, provided they weren't extremely design-specific like the 1966 Batmobile.

Unless I missed something, (very possible) than we have left out a small fleet of rides from Death Race 2000. There about as far away from the custom jobs of Barris, Jeffries, or Mann Racing, as you can get. I'm not sure if their cardboard cut out look was intentional, or if there was just no $ left after paying the acting talent of David Carradine and Sylvester Stallone. (I think Carradine won the better acting performance from what I remember, though I would nominate Sly for the most improved actor ever I think. And ultimately Carradine's problem was not his acting, but his lack of knot mastery.)

All the cars seem to be fiberglass V.W. kit cars, that got to be very popular in the early 70's right after the first wave of the gas crunch sent prices over $1.00 a gallon for a short time. In 76 I was working at a full serve (google it) Shell station when they went over $1. for good or not so good as the case may be.
