What can I model see about a customer in cb?

As a client on cb, what can I model see about me? I know she can get an email when I'm online if she so chooses when she follows me. I actually have asked cb to provide an option to not allow email notifications - I mean its fine for models but for us clients, its kinda of annoying when a model says 'hey I see you online - why you not come visit me?'

I know what the nick colors mean and all. Just wondering if a model can tell when I'm in another model's room or is all they know is that I've logged in? Hehe - some can be a jealous lot (no disrespect intended ).

You're asking if CB sends models e-mail notifications when certain members come online? LOL. I wouldn't think they'd do that? I've heard enough crazy shit about that site, but I doubt they would do something that silly. Members getting e-mail notifications about their favorite models being online is one thing (I know it is/was a feature on MyFreeCams, but was told that it often didn't even work...lol).

On CB a model does not know if you are online or not unless she actually sees you in another room interacting while she is there watching the other model.

I don't think CB sends models an email when you go online even if they follow you unless you are actually broadcasting your own webcam.

If you are in her room she can click on your name to see how many tokens you have spent on her today, and in the last 2 weeks. But that is about the extent of what you can see about a member. If you aren't in her room she can't even see that information.

I noticed that a model can follow me, I can see that in my settings....
I am under the impression if a model follows me she can see when I am online, the same way I see if a model I follow is online ? ?

Apart from that I am quite happy that no one can contact me on Chaturbate directly if I am not in a model room.

Models have to actually click a button to send out the email notifications. It appears over our broadcast window. Since members can broadcast, too, I would assume that it's the same for you, and you'd have to actually send out the notifications.

To add to this... you don't see when a model is online @BobbyB, you only see when she is broadcasting. If I am on the site but my cam is off I appear as "offline" to members who follow me.

I think it works like this.
- A model does not automatically get a notification if a guest is just logged on to the site, even if they follow them.
- A model will get an email if ALL of the following happen
- The guest has not blocked the model either directly, by region or gender
- The model follows the guest
- The model has elected to receive notifications from folk they follow
- The guest goes to their 'Broadcast Me' tab
- The guest presses the 'send notification email' link

I do not think there is a 'When someone is online' notification. Thank goodness, my inbox is full enough already!

During most shows I get someone come in and in chat say "Come to XYZ room" but I do not think that is aimed at anyone in particular.

Neither model or guest can get the other ends IP address. The chaturbate servers know them but do not broadcast them.

Members getting e-mail notifications about their favorite models being online is one thing (I know it is/was a feature on MyFreeCams, but was told that it often didn't even work...lol).

It works decently well now. I usually get an email within a minute of a model turning on her cam. Once in a while it takes a bit longer, but I haven't noticed it outright failing for quite some time. And with gmail desktop notifications turned on that will pop up a box and make a sound to alert someone.

MFC also recently added sound notification right from the site itself. We can choose from several sounds, for me it's a doorbell sound when someone logs on. That's model dependent. So it doesn't do it for every model on our friends list, just the ones we choose.

Guess the plot thickens a bit as I chat with some outside of the arena and they do seem to know when I am on. And obviously I am not clicking a button to send an email - I just thought it was automatic if a follower selected 'send notification email when person is online'.

Conspiracy theory alert - being a high-volume client I'm guessing the studio has a vested interest in my action. And since it really is just with a couple of models who appear to be at the same studio, maybe the studio is scanning IPs and passing the info on. You know, from behind the grassy knoll....

There is an option to allow you to send a message to everyone who follows you once every 6 hours to let them know that you, the model, is online. It is a form of advertisement for the model and a way to help her/him connect with their followers. It is simply a button we press, we do not see your email addresses.

There is also an option that says "email me when someone I follow comes online". I'm guessing that is how they are finding out you are online.

Even if you are following me/I follow you I still can't see what room you are in, unless I go look through each models friends list and find you.

I can not see anything about IP addresses. I can only see a list of who is currently in my room, and if I click on their name I get options about PM/Block/year registered and how many tokens they have spent on me.

If these girls are trying to get you in their rooms you might want to consider blocking them or making a new account. I don't know how the studio would be "scanning IP addresses", that's not how IP's work.
