this is NOT okay to not have a perm ban option i have to keep blocking texans2004 out of my room.... he will not stop coming into us models rooms spreading and starting drama spreading lies about all of the models in the models main chat.... this is NOT OKAY!!!!!

give us this option NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! every single other site has a perm ban option except stripchat... fix this issue for a better experience for us

FOR REAL. I mean, that's nice and all that they've come out with this new 'Private requests offline' feature. But how about giving SC models something they've actually been wanting for FOUR YEARS now (a perma-ban option)? There's really no excuse to not have it.

also we need to be able to ban the parkers who come in and just stare every single day .... there should be an option to just ban without them talking.... this is crazy....... give us better options!!! we have begged for a long time

Yes, and I'd love to be able to have a kick option too. Sometimes I may want to just kick someone out without banning them. Also I'm getting conflicting information re: my other question. One model told me that when a banned member returns (after 30 days), you have to - once again - wait for them to type something before you can ban them. A different model told me the opposite...that you can re-ban them when they return...without having to wait for them to type something first.

I was told that I will not have to worry about Seven_Inches bothering me again. No idea what this means...if they did something on their end to ensure that he can't visit my room again, or what? It was a very vague response. He still has an active profile on the site. So I'm curious to see what'll happen when his 30-day ban with me is up. This really isn't something that I, or any other Stripchat model, should have to worry about. Allowing a person I dislike (with bad intentions) the freedom to camp out in my room for as long as he wants - and me not being able to do anything about it - may very well be THE thing that makes me quit a cam site.....

I get harassed by this one user once a month who initially requested an IRL meetup, complete with suggesting offsite payment, and informed him that was not something I offer nor is allowed per the site's ToS, to which he took strong offense. If a model arranged escorting services through Stripchat, they'd be banned, right? Why not the inverse for soliciting them?

I can't wrap my mind around why Stripchat doesn't implement this. Users who models want to permban are 95% of the time never trying to spend money on SC, in the past, present, or future.

Not trying to teach anyone anything here, but if you have text of a user sending such messages/requests, surely forwarding that to support (Showing date and time etc) will get the user banned from the entire site, not just your room.

But YES, you models certainly need a permanent ban option.

I agree this is the better way for really bad cases. Report them and get them banned from the site.

Permanent bans are a problem on a site like SC where user status (color) depends on total tokens spent. If a model makes a mistake on CB, users can get a new account and are back in business (purple color) within two weeks at most. On SC, higher classes require thousands of dollars (~$10.000 for the highest class), so users cannot get new accounts and banning must be handled with much more care - more care than some models show.

Therefore, the operator of SC has to act himself and cannot allow permanent bans in order to prevent accidents and unjustified bans from becoming a lasting problem for users who are invested in the site with thousands of dollars.

At least that is my explanation why SC does not offer such a feature.

Sorry I do not agree at all. I do not even think what you say makes sense. A user's status does not give them rights to be a prick.

A model should be able to permanently ban any user from THEIR room for any reason (not the whole site obviously, that is only for SC to decide). No-one (i think) is suggesting that models be able to ban users from the whole site.

If a model bans erroneously, then they'll pretty soon end up with no visitors, so that's is self regulation of that issue :)

I'm not sure I understand what you're saying. We're saying that models should have the option to permanently ban who they want from their room...like how pretty much every other cam site (Hell, even ManyVids Live) gives us that option. I couldn't care less if a member has spent thousands of dollars on the site. Doesn't mean I want him in my room. I definitely don't agree with some things Stripchat does, such as this nonsense of allowing certain tier members to PM whatever model they want (Way too many non-tipping members abusing this, and I'm tired of having to nicely ask people to talk in the chat), and I certainly hope you're not trying to say that members "who spend lots of money on the site" should be exempt from permanent bans in models' rooms. NO ONE should be exempt from this except for admin. If you can't act right in a model's room (or whatever her reason is for not wanting you there anymore), the model should be free to permanently remove you from her room...whether you're a high roller on the site or not.

I understand your point of view, but the provider also has to consider the users - especially those who spend a lot of money on the site. They are, after all, an important part of their business model.

A permanent ban would essentially only hit the users who spend a lot of money, since a gray or bronze user can easily create a new account on SC without loosing much. If it's just about harassing the model, every user type can do that on every platform with secondary accounts.

In CB, the user's status depends on the tokens spent in the last two weeks, so banning mistakes / misunderstandings are not such a big problem. In the worst case, the user simply creates a new account the next time he recharges tokens.

On SC, on the other hand, user status depends on total tokens spent, so users at the highest level will have invested over $10.000 to reach that point. Here, a new account is not a good alternative, since you would then have to constantly switch between accounts or spend $10.000 again to reach the old status (which comes with benefits like a free ultimate membership) with the new account.

At first, this sounds much worse for the models, but in reality, the unpleasant users on CB simply make new accounts all the time - since an account on CB does not represent a permanent value, but only reflects the consumption behavior of the last two weeks. Effectively, the situation is not noticeably better for the models on CB.

I even see a slight advantage for the models on SC, because the user can come back after a month, but is directly identifiable due to his unchanged name, while on CB he can disguise his past history much easier. On CB you never know for sure if the purple user is someone you have banned before under a different name. On SC, on the other hand, you can be relatively sure that a red user (who has thus spent $10,000 for this status) is not the idiot who annoyed you a month ago under a different name.

As I said, I understand that as a model you like to have a permanent ban, but I also see that the provider has to do a broader balancing of interests, especially when relying on such a long-term level system as SC. And I also think that a permanent ban on CB is only a perceived improvement, while annoying and harassing users simply keep coming back with new accounts.

On Stripchat ultimate users troll , offend and harras the models worts than the geys and send them pms over pms only because they think are entiled to do so and , treat the model like shit because we are not willing to answer to their damm pms for free! and those represent 80 % of the pms !

so banning mistakes / misunderstandings are not such a big problem.

there is no such a thing ! models ban because they have balls full and want to ban !

On SC, on the other hand, user status depends on total tokens spent, so users at the highest level will have invested over $10.000 to reach that point. I do trully dont know where you live and how do you think it but where i live if you go in any shop , and even in local bordels you can spend even 50 000 dollars in 1 hour , if you are direspectfull and a prick the owners call the police and take you out in kicks in the ass out and if you get forbiden to visit that shop / bar / local anymore , not to count if you are very nasty you get in jail 3-6 months for molestation , this up to the salty fee of 15 000 dollras at least , that if you dont pay it then you get in jail anyway!

SO cam models should have the right to ban when they want and how they want. and not having the right to permanently ban and keep being abused by the same pricks that come agresivly after 30 days to shit on model over and over its called exploatation!

At first, this sounds much worse for the models,

Of course this is more stressfull for the model ! because we deal daily with hundreds like this , and for free too!! at least an psychoterapist get paid per hourly basis to listen , instead we must deal with them for free and without the right to choose!! When our contracts are stating we are independent contractors so per law its supposed we must choose our clients!!!!!!

is not the idiot who annoyed you a month ago under a different name.
the fact he is red and have spent that does not mean it have spent with me and will not troll me , we work with the tips recived now in the room not all that he spent on the site , because thats dont pay my bills! also we have hundred of pms daily , we will certain not remeber an client for 1 month ago , so like many times happends best tippers especially the red ones become creeps and come after periods of time with a diffrent atitude and many time not the nice one , only because they think they have a status and are entiled to it!

I even see a slight advantage for the models on SC
this is not an advantage , many models fall for this and give atention for free and the dude never tips , chaturbate on the other hands guys tip more and and not so entiled and butt hurted. so no models have no advantage again . they only get flooded with free pms because he is an red or whatever.

PS : the higher worst trolls and stalkers that i gained in 13 years on camming are on stripchat . I went thru hell because of those 2 motherfuckers and i had to rebrand and work my ass off to rebuild my room ! and guesee what : both of them were ultimate members !!!!!!

Wouldn't calling the police be similar to reporting the user to SC support? And if a user is very nasty he will get a ban from the site, maybe even his payment option gets blocked so he can't come back with a new account easily.

And those hundreds of users come back every month after you ban them? I would imagine only a very small number enjoys annoying a model once per month to be banned again within seconds.

Do you really have that many cases where the user comes back every 30 day after a ban? And how many of them wouldn't get new accounts to continue after a permanent ban?

I understand the problem with unlimited PMs for ultimate users, but that's a different problem and doesn't require a user to spend much money. He just has to sign up for a $20/month ultimate membership, which again could be done with new accounts every month easily if SC introduces permanent bans.

I do not understand you at all. Why would a banned user need to make a new account? He would only be banned from the rooms of models that he has behaved badly in. There's still 6000 *other* rooms each day he can visit.

Your logic is flawed.

I've been banned by mistake (mix-up with another user) or misunderstanding (forgot an open browser tab, language barrier) before.

There may be thousands of rooms, but much less that really interest me (for example VR rooms or rooms in my native language), so I'm happy that things like that solve themselves after a month. In most cases I don't care about a ban, but there a exceptions where a "unjustified" lifetime ban would hurt my future experience.

IMO permanent bans result in too much collateral damage, without stopping the users with bad intensions from creating new accounts.

Fucking yikes. Models aren't "making a mistake" when banning anyone from their room. Furthermore, circumventing a ban (which entails evading site security measures) is attack on the platform, not an inconvenience brought forth from a model who just wasn't thinking clearly and made an "accident."

I would even argue that models who ban someone who harasses them, violates the site ToS (which BTW states that models must enforce site rules or face consequences themselves), or is in any way a detriment are completely aware of what they're doing!

No one cares how much one user has spent. That doesn't give them the green light to do whatever they want. They're not free from accountability or liability. What about the models who have to put up with an abuser/rule breaker/freeloader's shit? Without the models, Stripchat would have no product. The models make Stripchat money, not toxic users.

Models aren't obligated to entertain you or put up with your shit, bro.

In regards to reporting a user, it's such an inconvenience for the model, and completely at the discretion of support when it should be up to the person actually having to deal with them, like it is on every other cam and social media site, ever.

Also, why would you want to visit a model who banned you? EIther she does not like you or your actions, or she is someone who makes mistakes (and does not fix them) :) Either way, why visit someone like that?

I was once accidently banned by a model, she sent me such an apologetic offline pm. I had not even noticed because she unbanned me immediately. She was a very sweet girl.

Do you really think that models can't make mistakes or that there can't be misunderstandings and overreactions? If so, this way of thinking is exactly why I am against permanent bans and see more harm than good in them.

I absolutely think that there are cases where a 30-day ban is not enough, but I think in such cases it makes more sense to contact support and have the user's account banned completely.

That is not my attitude. I don't believe that money gives you the right to do everything - abusers should be banned from the platform and new accounts should be prevented by blocking their bank account or credit card.

I just have a problem with trusting that a model will never make a mistake in a permanent ban.

If a model tells me I'm annoying her, I'm gone forever. I don't need a ban for that. I also don't write masses of PMs and then get insulting when no answer comes. In general, I have never harassed or insulted a model.

And yet I have been banned several times for misunderstandings - in rooms where I then had no more problems with the model after the ban period expired. With a permanent ban, these one-time misunderstandings or simple operating errors could have led to a lifetime ban completely unnecessarily. And that's not a good idea on a platform that works with lifetime user ranks. Those two things don't mix well in my opinion.

One example for a ban i got: I told a VR model that she gets to close to the cam when doing virtual kisses. I've even added that I don't want to offend her, just help her improve. This was a single sentence no fruitless discussion or something like that. Do you think this warrants a 30 day ban? After that ban I got back and had perfectly fine conversations with her. Would I trust her to handle permanent bans in a good way? Definitely not.

I feel like we're just going to argue in circles here. But to re-iterate, you're not entitled to anyone's time or attention when they don't want to give it to you. There's no mistake when a model intentionally bans someone, regardless of how the recipient feels about it. There's no epidemic of models accidentally clicking the wrong button and accidentally kicking out a well-to-do individual. Referring to their judgment as a "mistake," and implying they're incapable of enacting proper judgment, is extremely condescending.

It's not like models have the authority to ban you from the entire website, anyway! Just move on if a model doesn't like you.

As an aside, what said to the VR model sounds again, condescending. I would have banned you too.

rofl I'm not going to contact support to permaban someone, I have a button and if I want you gone, you're gone. If someone is being rude, complaining, or trying to get me to do things for free then they are rewarded with an unceremonious yeet.

You aren't really owed an explanation, you're expected to have basic social skills. Lots of members are perfectly capable of taking a hint and not overstepping with a model, and it disrupts the flow of the show to have to stop everything to tell someone that they're bothering me, especially because it also takes attention away from other people who are being lovely and respectful. I first try to shift the focus to something else, then ignore, and if they don't get the hint I ban. I save my energy for people who respect me and my time, and I have a much better experience because of it.

Yeah it absolutely does warrant a ban, you were camsplaining to her and trying to backseat her stream. Knock it off, nobody likes that shit. We don't come to your job and nitpick your workflow, so don't do it to us. Unless you are paying for a show and the model has agreed to let you direct her movements, it's not your place.

Depends on the reason. If she doesn't like my actions I won't go back. If it was a misunderstanding I would go back - if she bans me again, because I misinterpreted the situation, I wouldn't go back a third time.

In VR it's very hard to get a realistic distance and angle - so this is more like telling a girl her audio is broken or the stream stutters. It's something she can't see herself on her monitor, because she only has a flat video at best. I wouldn't compare it to tell her she has to change prices or act in a specific way.

So for me this is a good example for a misunderstanding. She felt I was "camsplaining", I felt like giving her feedback on something she can only improve by user feedback. A 30 day ban didn't hurt both of us too much and we could go on after that one-time incident.

If you're getting banned so many times that this becomes an issue, maybe you should think a little bit more with your big head before you chat.

This, plus why would it matter if ONE model bans you? Go find another. Don't be entitled just because you've spent money over the space of weeks or years, money doesn't give you the right to treat anyone like garbage and to insult them, or try get them to do what you want, when you want, etc.

So, from the perspective of the website admins/staff, I don't think they would see it how you're seeing it, they would quite literally (or hope they will) tell you to go find another model.
Banned from multiple? Then clearly you're the problem and you need to rethink yourself :p

I think it comes down to ruining the OP's post and making this thread all about him. ....again
I have refrained from posting several times in other threads to keep threads from getting out of hand. Among other things, when I was called an idiot, I purposefully did not get involved in an argument.

Do you have to shut down every dissenting opinion with accusations like this?

As I already said above, I don't do anything like this and my bans have not resulted from insults or treating anyone like garbage.

I got most of the bans because I had a room open in the background and the model probably thought that I was watching her for hours without tipping and without conversation. The reality is that the model herself was on break or in PVT for a long time and I wanted to wait for her and simply forgot the open browser tab.

Some models have problems with silent viewers who do not hide in anonymity, so it can always come to a situation as described above.

Another problem is the language barrier. I'm not a native speaker and many models only have very basic English skills. Under these conditions, misunderstandings are inevitable.

Haha. No. I never called you an idiot.

Did I say it was you? I don't remember us having anything to do with each other at all.

I didn't intend to have a discussion here with several people and hijack the thread. I just wanted to post my guess as to why SC is having a hard time creating such an option. The rest was simply a discussion arising from my post.
