I have set up an Amazon account, and i'll save all of those questions until I get model status.. but, for now, i'm just wondering how to put the link in the profile.. (I copied and pasted from the address bar, didn't see a thing for Amazon on the site under my wish list).. But, i'm wondering if I am missing something.. Instead of www. It be a clickable link that says Amazon Wish List. I tried the pasting and then highlighting and typing over it, but it didn't work.

This is the HTML code for making a basic hyperlink:

<a href="Amazon Wishlist URL">Text you want to show on your profile to click</a>

If you want to use an image as the link, this is the code:

<a href="Amazon Wishlist URL"><img src="Direct URL of the picture"></a>

If your question was how to get the direct URL for an Amazon Wishlist to put into the code, then you need to have the list privacy set to either 'Public' or 'Shared' -> There will then be an option in the upper right of the wishlist that says "Share List" -> Click that, and copy/paste the short URL it gives you into your profile, using the codes I gave you above.

Also, and you probably already know this, but do NOT have your real name or address associated with the wishlist in any way. Make a completely new Amazon account under your cam name, do NOT add an address or any identifying info to the account, and only accept gift cards until you can get a P.O. Box or remailer set up to protect your privacy. It's simple for people to get your home address through Amazon, and it'd be a nasty introduction to the potential dangers of camming for someone to show up on your doorstep.

I saw something about the cards on a different posting. How do you go about that?? simply have it all set up (amazon account) and then have nothing under a wish list? I have read up on your amazon hints and things, which is why I figured I would only ask that basic question, because I know there is more on this sight.. Just have to wait for it. however, I have had several people tell me that it's something they want me to have because they want to gift, so I figured I would at least get it set up before I could get into the models section and maybe find ideas and hints for it.

First off, Fay linked some really awesome and informative threads, so definitely go read those and learn more about how wishlists work as a camgirl. Once you get verified, there are also more threads within Models Only you can peruse. And definitely learn how to use the 'Search' feature on this forum, to both learn as much as you can and avoid making repeat threads. :)

Second, you just add Amazon gift cards to your wishlist, and put the e-mail you want them sent to in the "Add comments, quantity, and priority" section. Make sure this is a dedicated model e-mail, NOT a personal e-mail. Gmail and Yahoo are both good options for this.

Or you can add items to your wishlist that you want without having a shipping address attached to the account! Let members know to send you a giftcard for the amount of the item they want you to have and you'll buy it.

Just a note: a lot of times members who like wishlists want to actually send you a gift rather than just a gift card. It feels much more personal; think about it, would you rather send your mother a bouquet, or give her a giftcard for 1-800-FLOWERS and tell her to buy herself a dozen long-stem roses for Mother's Day? They may both cost the same but the sentiment feels different. Since I have removed a shipping address from my wishlist, I have gotten few to no giftcards towards wishlist purchases. I used to have a new package every week in the mail, just because people wanted to get me stuff. I had to remove my address due to moving to a much smaller city; I no longer feel comfortable with people knowing even my general location. I understand why the gifts have dropped off but just be aware that if you aren't able to accept physical gifts you may not get very many.

This is just my experience of course; your mileage may vary!

Gosh darn it, I've been camming so long that I just thought it was a given to have it set up in that manner and it didn't occur to me to tell her to do it. That's exactly what I used to do with my Amazon wishlist (back when I had one,) with all of the items I wanted listed+instructions to send a gift card to my e-mail. But it is a good idea to have the Amazon gift cards on the wishlist as well, so that guys don't have to search for it. :)
