I haven't been verified as a model yet, but I've been on mfc since november and have been using mediafire to send videos. They flagged my account so now I've tried dropbox, and I can get some of the links to work but not all of them. It's very confusing. I've also tried usendit (fail) and I'm out of ideas. I need help!

Why won't all of the links work on dropbox? Do you know? Contacted support about it at all? I'm currently uploading all my videos there as I type this, so if it's not going to work I'd like to figure out why hrmm..

But, lots of girls have been using camredeem for their videos.

Some of the links work just fine. I can send them out via personal email and mfc mail. Others, the link just leads to an error screen through mfc mail, though one worked through personal email. I'm just stumped as to why, I need it to work both ways!

just fyi - media fire may not have flagged your account. They have flagged ANY referral links from mfc. So if someone clicks on a link in a MFC chat box or mail, it says "video removed for TOS violation" however if they copy paste the link into a separate browser, it works just fine.

You may want to test your links to be sure thats not whats happening. If it is you may consider simply asking your members to copy paste.

I didn't even know that, thank you. I ended up removing my files from mediafire (I may upload them again depending on how things go) and I realized what is going on with dropbox is a myfreecams mail thing because it's working fine via personal email, so if any other models are using dropbox maybe you have a remedy to fix it!

I was chatting with someone that walked me through it. You can copy and paste the links just fine. The problem occurs when you copy and paste them through myfreecams. That's the only time it wasn't working. Emailing them seems to work fine just as well. I'm now wondering if it has something to do with the name of the file. If I figure it out I will let everyone know!

It doesn't work through MFC mail because MFC is processing the contents and altering them in certain cases.

For example, if I send this link:

https://dl.dropbox.com/u/9659390/frynotsure.jpg

It's translated to this in the recipient's box:

Code:
<img src="http://img.myfreecams.com/chat_images/c/94/942b3b51.x50.jpg" title="" border="0">

That's for an image file. I suspect you're running across something similar with your links. MFC may just be parsing anything that is a link to Dropbox or other sites.

This has some implications for you models if you're sending raw image files through MFC mail. Essentially, MFC has made a copy of the image file and is serving it off their server. I have no idea how long they maintain that image.

Thank you for that bit of information. Knowing that, I think I feel more comfortable just emailing them out. I did compress one of the files yesterday and tried it, but it seems I had the same problem.
