This is not true at all. A pedophile is someone who is attracted to prepubescent children (13 or younger), it has nothing to do with the age of consent (18). Someone who is attracted to a person who is younger than 18, but past puberty is perfectly normal. The only reason age of consent even exists is because people who are younger are generally not able to understand or deal with the consequences of having sex or doing sex work. It's a completely arbitrary age, and is actually lower in some other countries. A person doesn't suddenly become attractive the minute they turn 18 just because the law says you can legally have sex with them.

While you are right that pedophiles are interested in a developmental stage, there's more to it than that. There are actually terms for people who are sexually attracted to people in early puberty and later adolescence, the former is called hebephilia and the latter is called ephebephilia. Also, it should be recognized that some pedophiles are non exclusionary pedophiles who still can be attracted to adults.

Besides, if we are talking about a model who LOOKS to be at that person's preferred stage of development, and they genuinely believe that the model is a child, isn't Iris right that it is pedophilic?

True, but I don't think that's the case here. I get the impression that the OP was talking about models who looked like the might be 16 or 17, in which case there's nothing wrong or out of the ordinary with being attracted to them and someone who is attracted to them is certainly not a pedophile.

It is worth noting that fake IDs aren't too hard to obtain. I had a self made one when I was 18 that worked all but one time. Reddit appears to have a thriving business in fake ids. Now maybe MFC/SM etc. are more diligent and careful about checking IDs than they are the rest of their business, but I have some doubts.

Hell, some "fake" ID'S are real, and just not the actual person's. One of my sisters looks enough like me that I "lost" my ID a couple years back and gave it to her so she could go to bars. I also know someone who found an ID of someone who looked like her and had just turned 21(when the person I knew was 19), and used that went she wanted to drink.

Actually, the age of consent in the state where I live is 16, that means as long as both partners are age 16 or older, they can legally have sex. I believe 16 is the age of consent in most states. So, in much of the US, an 80 year old can legally have sex with a 16 year old.


A common exception to this is if one partner holds a position of authority (teacher, coach, police officer, etc.). In that situation the age of consent raises to 18.

It doesn't matter what the age of consent is, nor if it's legal in other countries at a younger age. Because MFC is based and owned in the United States, no one under 18 can be on cam. The site would be held liable, and if you (a member) KNEW that a model was underage (for example, if she told you), and they had proof, YOU could be in legal trouble. The government doesn't fuck around when it comes to child pornography.

The idea of someone "looking 16 or 17" is fucking hilarious to me. When someone turns 18, do they suddenly LOOK a whole year older? Do they suddenly start looking like a fully mature adult? ...No.
The problem(s) with being attracted to (and/or pursuing) someone underage is the legality of consent from a minor AND the fact that their brains aren't fully developed yet, but even someone in their early twenties is still maturing mentally. Let me also remind you than men mature more slowly than women (hahah).

Agree. Isnt that part of why the asian part of MFC was shut down? They had several tons of girls using others IDs and accounts to work from. Several presumed underage even. Lets not act like it doesnt happen ever or like if you see it you should just turn a blind eye. Report that shit. MFC will look into it. Yes some girls do look younger than their age but that does not mean if you are suspicious you should not bring those concerns to MFC. They can not police the website and every girl alone so do help by reporting those you feel may be not legally able to be on cam and let MFC take it from there. No harm done if she is and if she isnt you stopped child porn.

Yeah I don't know, maybe. And yeah, no point in pretending it doesn't happen or acting like it would be some huge challenge to do. Would certainly be nice if it didn't happen but pretending bad things don't happen probably isn't the most mature approach, not that I should be talking about maturity.

Agreed. If members always reported models that they presumed were under age (and I'm not talking children, I mean like "she can't be over 17") I'd probably have to reverify my identity on a regular basis.

People doing over reporting on CB is a big reason people get their accounts locked randomly.
