Very First Day MFC

I haven't created an MFC profile yet because I didn't want to waste my new model status if I wasn't ready. So I can't be verified yet. (If this is in the wrong place to post this, let me know.)

Although, I hear the new model clock doesn't start until after you start caming, is this true?

In addition, I have my first day all planned out, and wanted to know if it was okay to fly it by you guys (make sure all the pricing sounded decent for a new model as we as fun and enjoyable for members.) Been reading all over this forum, researching my butt off for the last 1-2wks and it's super helpful, thank you guys so much for putting so much work into answering questions!! I did do a search function for the term "first day" and "new model" and got nothing relevant to what I'm asking.

First day: Doctor Who dress with black thigh highs or leggings and black underwear w/ flats or heels. A tip wall game, increments of 10 going up to 150, on my wall using notecards. About 9 of them have a prize, I gave a prize on all parts of the tip spectrum so that it was fun for everyone. BlackJack for 69 for shots or flashes (not sure which would be best, hoping to hear from y'all.) Hoping to get a few balloons to decorate and to play with, make it a fun little "celebrate my first day with me" type of thing.

Prizes include: spanks, name moaning, twerking, sexy dance, sexy dance to song of choice, 10spanks, raffle to an end of the month prize (skype,) boobie bongos (tapping on my boobs like a drum, lol) and a 10min skype session.

One of my rules is that I don't want to do skype shows because, I don't know, it just doesn't feel as safe because you don't have the safety net of the rules of MFC, know what I mean? So the only way to get them are on my terms, as in, winning one in a game or raffle (which won't happen too often, again, because it just feels safer not to. I felt that it would be okay to use as two prizes because it's my first day celebration, lol) Thoughts on that as well would be appreciated, such as your ideas on my anxiousness of the safety of it as well as only offering it as a prize.

The only cam I have is my friend's mac's built in. As far as I can tell on photobooth, the image is very clear with the light in my room, I'll likely bring in a lamp anyway to help out even more. She states that she's used it for skyping and that it plays well (we live in the same place, so I'm saying this for internet quality purposes.)

Welcome! Yes, your new model status starts when you start broadcasting, not before. It sounds like you've put a lot of thought & research into your first day, and that's awesome.
A few comments:

The tip wall is a good idea, but are you planning to have 100 pieces of paper and only 9 prizes? I would make the ratio much higher, give the members at least a 50/50 shot at getting something. It might even be advantageous to put some sort of prize on EVERY paper, even if they're silly things like a chicken dance, so you can say each paper gets a prize. This will make people more likely to tip, if they know they'll get something.

It is really, really important to have a good quality webcam. I really can't stress this enough. If your feed looks like your profile pic, you can see the color balance is pretty off. Plus, there will probably be times when you want to move the camera somewhere for a zoom or something, and it would be a pain to move the whole computer. Getting different angles would be very tricky. Be flexible and stay positive! I was like you when I started- I planned everything to a tee. I used to schedule out each week with what I would do and wear every night. I kept a journal where I recorded what I wore, who I talked to, who tipped, what games I played, what angles I used, what songs I played every night, and I studied it trying to find patterns. I never could. MFC is a fickle, fickle beast- what works one night will be a total bust the next. Keep your head up and keep trying. The fact that you've put so much thought and planning into it is a good indicator of future success.

Oh nonono, lol, it's increments of 10. lol So it would go "10, 20, 30, etc" and I've changed it to go up to 150. I also decided that I feel much safer giving away a month of snapchat instead of giving away 10min of skype (after reading through the forum a bit more I was able to find info on skype and decided that giving away the first raffle to a skype show was better and that I would, for now, keep skype as just a prize.)

Still trying to figure best time & day to start caming, so many different opinions, lol

Well I wasn't gonna get that intense, lmao, but you did nail me. I have way too much planned out probably. I've already... kinda... planned my profile, lol. I only just submitted to become a model earlier tonight. -sigh- Glad to know I'm not the only nutcase. :hello2:

Unless you have a very high tolerance for alcohol, I would stay away from the shots. There will already be enough idiots trying to take advantage of the "new girl" and plenty of them will see shots as a way to get you to impair your own judgment so they have a better chance of convincing you to do something you hadn't really intended to do. My guess is your adrenaline will already be high enough to affect your judgment without adding alcohol to the mix (Of course you might have a drink or two before going on cam in order to settle your nerves, but that's you deciding how much to consume, not members).

Similarly, I think one way your planning will pay off is to quickly drive away some of the members that try to take advantage of "new" models. If they see that you're in control of your room from the get-go, then they know you're not an "easy mark" they can manipulate. With fewer of those types, the more serious members will be more likely to stay around and participate.

I agree - stay away from shots! But you could always do sips of wine or beer. I usually do those for 20-30 tokens.

That webcam looks fine to start with. Then when you have enough money to get another one, go for it!

As for timing: what hours will you most likely be able to work? Gaining "regulars" starts the minute someone comes into your room. There's no point in starting out on days, for example, if you know that after your "new model" tag is gone that you'll switch to nights. Start (and stay) getting on at the same time every time you cam, and be consistent. The worst thing is when a member finds a model he really likes, but then she disappears for a week(s) at a time. The chances of that same member coming back are extremely thin.

Make a Twitter account as soon as you know what model name you'll go with. Learn to use it, and post fun, personal(ish) things on it to make members interested in YOU. (I don't mean personal like, "I'm named after my aunt Ida who had gallstones last year." I mean like, "Marathoning Big Bang Theory today! My cat is named after Sheldon!")

Was messing around looking at all the side widgets on MFC. I come back to the main page and there's a link for "broadcast your webcam" which I had never noticed before (I now realize that it was in black and white until just then.) I almost clicked it. Then just off to the side I noticed that it said I was completely verified and thus okay to go.

Lmao, I almost started my first day of webcaming with a red face due to terrible allergies, rough hair and sweats. Sooo shexy!

As for day vs night: during the day, there seems to be less models on. So lower camscore girls have a MUCH higher chance of being near the top of the page. At night, there's more models, but also substantially more traffic.

It's a toss-up as to which would work better. But I think you're doing the best thing; working when your kid will be gone so you can keep the same schedule. Good luck!!!

There's a reason why most camsites forbid alcohol when camming. While MFC allows it, if you're really keen on the idea, wait until you're better situated a model before doing shots. Maybe include one or two prizes in a game that end up being shots, but don't push your limits. Also regarding shots, don't do them for cheap. I've seen some girls charge something like 200-300 each to start with and they up them from there.

The only thing I would suggest would be splitting up your countdown.
2345, per se, is a comparatively high number to have as a countdown as a new model and you might be more successful splitting it into 1200 to get your dress off, and then 1200 for the rest.
You'll still make the same money obviously, but the guys will feel like it won't take as long to achieve something.
I know you said that the dress will come off halfway through, but if you want to make that clear in your topic (which you'd have to), then that will take up tons of characters (and you only have 140), leaving less space in the topic for all the other cool stuff you've planned.
However if you do your first countdown for 1200 tokens til dress off, and then after that the 2nd countdown with another 1200 until you're naked (do you get naked? I don't remember right now, sorry), it's always a relatively low number in your topic, making guys more likely to stay in your room because they think that when there's only 1200 left, it's not going to take so long. :twocents-02cents:

You really seem to have put thought into your first time on MFC which is great and gives you an advantage, as inkydoo has already said. You should also become a verified model on ACF so that you can enter the models only area of the forum where there's lots more advice

Models can speak to this better, but that sounds really good for a first time out. I think the majority of models have _way_ more of a drop in Camscore after their first time on. There seems to be a problematic tension for new models between getting exposure by being on for a while and maintaining a decent camscore at the same time. I'd say don't worry as much about camscore right out of the gate, but I can't pretend that positioning on the MFC page doesn't mean a lot for gaining traffic. Of course, all that aside, I hope you enjoyed the experience.
