I read on twitter. A tweet saying Jesus saves and adulterous woman from sin. What? I read that Jesus saved a woman from a bunch of assholes that uses there definition of sin. To kill and control bla bla

I think if God really thought being married was so important. Then we couldn't have children until god married you. And I bet you dollars to assholes. That's why men have nipples.

I just think to often people read what they want to believe. And miss the hole point of the story. I like to read things without putting my opinions or believes in the story. That way I don't miss something because of my believes

I like reading and hearing everyone believes, opinions and point of view. It helps me look at everything involved before I decide my own believe or opinion. I learn way more and make great friends.

I think a big part of it is that your sentence structure and typos cause a lot of confusion about how your thoughts are supposed to be read. It would seem you enjoy writing and sharing your thoughts, so if you'd like to pursue this hobby, I'd suggest taking time to properly form sentences, paragraphs and words so that others can enjoy it as well.

I think, and I say this with some trepidation, that he is saying that marriage is just an institution and that his god doesn't care about it. That his god only cares about the love shared between people. And whether sex happens there or elsewhere, as long as love is there, that's all that matters.

Your posts are very difficult to understand and to read. I know that it is very easy to write things down as they come to mind and not realize that it didn't make sense on paper the way it did in your head. If you want us to understand, what you say has to be understandable.

I was confused about this. Was this directed to the people on the forum? I don't think that people stopped listening to your posts. Your posts are very difficult to understand, though. I'm not saying that to be mean. Your words are very jumbled. I could understand why you would feel that your posts are going ignored, or that we are brushing you off, because we don't understand what you mean. The reason that we don't understand what you mean isn't because we aren't trying. I read over your posts very well just now, and it is very hard to break down what you mean.

You have said in past posts that you didn't ever learn the correct way to write, and I understand that. A forum might be a good place to learn! I noticed that you put line breaks in the posts in this thread, which is great, and it does make it easier to try to read. While you get the hang of writing in a way that is clear and easy to read, maybe your posts would be easier to read if you kept them to ONE central idea and get to the point. Make it short and concise. You could even read it out loud before posting it to see if all of the words make sense. The ideas that you are writing about in this thread are already very abstract, so when your post is difficult to read, it makes what you're saying even harder to understand. I have basically stopped reading your posts because I rarely understand what you mean. I have nothing against you, it just takes too much out of me to read your posts.

I hope that this did not hurt your feelings or anger you, I am trying to explain where the rest of us are coming from when we say that we don't understand you.

If I get the general point of the OP this is my reply.

The Bible that so many want to take word for word as the Gospel truth needs to remember you're reading a translation of the original Hebrew writings. Also (it is said) many things in the original writings were left out of the translation if King James didn't like it or agree with it.

Unless God himself thumps you on the head and whispers in your ear, take "the word of God" with a dose of skepticism.

The nipples of a fetus develop before the sex organs do. Apparently our DNA doesn't think nipples have anything to do with gender. This is consistent throughout other mammals as well.

Not sure what they have to do with anything regarding marriage though. I'm lost on that.

Like everyone gets spoken to differently and it is only ment for you. Not to use as a tool to manipulate others or to create laws. I personally don't believe in god. But think maybe we are spiritually connected to everyone .

I was married for 5 years to a man the like to stick guns in my face, drag me around by my hair, and put his cigarettes out in my food. He went to jail multiple times for hospitalizing other guys that have me a sideways glance or smile. In the old days, you couldn't even chose whom you would marry.. they were pretty much decided by the parents.

Later, men and women did get to have a choice but were still condemned to stay with each other forever.

Nowadays you have the choice and also the choice to stay together or not. And I think that is a good thing. No need to stay together if it makes either of you (or both) unhappy.

Still.. it's terrifying to see what former partners (usually 'inspired' by their lawyers) will do to each other during and/ or after a divorce.

Very good point. I vent a lot. Then it just turns into bitching. Do you cam? If so I'll at least come and pay for the two minutes. And I can tell why I think Jesus liked the whores.

I wanted to add to what dilligaf0 wrote. If it is ok? Because every bible we have studied. Has been altered. Hebrew and Greek. Maybe some Latin. Was the original languages. (Google it) Not someone's "translation". Of the original.

And what blows my mind is. At the end of the story. It tells the reader to NOT alter this book. It's a longer warning then my last sentence. But that should sum it up.

But to me and I read different. I like to think about what I have read. And I have read the bible a few times. Plus the books in the Catholic Bible that are not in the KJ version.

To me it was like. (myself asking the people who wrote the book) 1.You want me to believe all this and do exactly as it is written? 2.Because you say it is coming from god?

The book writers reply. Yes that is true. My response. Then I will need the original. Because God said "not to alter the book". I add to this statement. I guess y'all have already decided on what rules you will keep or not keep.

My point is if you are wanting to learn about God. I feel that God wants you to. Take the time and study. Before you attempt to understand the bible.

If that is how you think it should be done. (Usesing the bible as the only way to know god). Think about it. Why didn't they just leave that part out?

It makes the translators look stupid. And that voids all emotional thoughts I might have gained from the Bible.

Maybe the way God intended for you to learn. Was to learn the language. Then read it. Then make your decision. It feels to me like the writers had come with a trick.

The idea of God has been around form the the start I believe. I also feel. Once we develop a need for social classes. And the writers had the idea.

To write the book. Theach the people. Then set up the chain of comand for peolpe. And creating the "Royal blood line". Starting a type of government.

But this is just my thoughts. After reading what I could understand. I haven't tried to learn the language. And seeing how I haven't read the original. I'm no expert.

But I believe we all should. Pick up on hints. That make us stop and read it again. Or think about why something is written that way.

I'm atheist... so I don't actually care what "god" thinks. However, the Bible makes it pretty clear you are supposed to be married before sexual relations or having children.
