Twitter Advertising

To be honest, I never used twitter before cam, and I had zero interest in tweeting real life things to random people. I mainly use it to advertise, post links, and have recently (very obvious if you look at my profile) dabbled in affiliate links. I can tell this is not the correct way to advertise on twitter. It looks like spam. I am a firm believer in not sharing your life troubles/etc on twitter and I have a hard time making personal posts. My life is usually quite uneventful regardless. Any help/advice?

I'm starting to use Twitter more now, too, to advertise. I hardly ever used it before and only really know the basics. I'm just now starting to add pics to mine and am learning how to use it to advertise. Try mixing in things like retweets from your favorite bloggers or writers. Tweet about something funny that happened or a funny meme. I like to post Happy Monday/Friday tweets. You have some good stuff in there, maybe just add to it a little. I just followed you on Twitter.
