That was the best episode of the season

This season has been a roller coaster for me, from being sad that Terry died to being SOO pissed about the vamp-camp. I was really over Sookie and her "woah is me/ I need someone to make this decision for me" attitude. But I'm glad she finally had her moment of "growing the eff up, and stop trying to play the victim that loathes the drama."

I'm disappointed/glad that Jason didn't shoot the cuntbucket (idk her name.. idc.. i don't like her one bit lol). Disappointed because I honestly want her dead or turned into a vamp & forced to drink her own True Blood..something to give her back what she dished out. But at the same time, if the show kills her or anything..there won't be a major season enemy.

My questions for the seasons were :
- When Warlow appeared to Sookie in her bathroom he looked super old and extremely scary.. why doesn't he look threatening in person? What's going to happen when she finds out he killed her Fairy Grandfather.
- What's going to happen next season because Eric has basically gone rouge.
- And of course this whole Bill = Lilith. I'm glad he is coming down from his crazed "I'm a prophet" moment.

The one thing I wanted to see this episode but didn't was Terry coming to Lafayette and taking over to talk to Arlene. But I'm guessing it may not happen because he is at piece.

"I love you...... Jason Stackhouse.", is the funniest line in the entire series. I am so glad I did not give up on this season.

LOL, YES! Steve Newlin's had no shortage of funny moments throughout the series, but that was a great send-off. I do hope his ex-wife gets hers soon, though. I loved the way they used her this season, but I think she's about done now too.

Terry's death was a bit tough, because I like the guy, but I can see why they did it. a) they had kind of run out of material for him, and b) they needed some serious stuff to balance out all the comedy. And nothing they do with the vampires at this point can feel serious, as it's all so campy. (enough with the gooey messes and crushing papier-mâché heads already) I was pretty happy with the vampire stuff this year. The governor's vampire facility, HepV, etc. was all pretty cool. And the way they didn't hesitate to kill him off was great, as was having Sarah step in to take over.

This season has been a bit inconsistent, but it is SOOOO much better than the last one. But the werewolf stuff has been pointless… yes they had to resolve the Luna/Emma/Martha stuff from the end of last season but they dragged it out way too long without any payoff. (OK, so Sam gets a new girlfriend. But they didn't need that many episodes full of pointless werewolf stuff for that to happen.) If we're going to have werewolves, just have Sookie and Alcide fuck. I mean, that's what we want to see, right? Or Alcide and someone. Anyone. Alcide/Eric would be awesome, actually. But the Shreveport werewolf pack politics crap? Yuck. Boring, and we've had the same basic thing for a few seasons in a row.

Lmao, I feel very similarly to you. I was SUPER upset and shocked about Terry because I liked him so much.

I have been "so over Sookie and her precious fucking fairy vagina and her unbelievably stupid name" (Love Pam, LOVE HER) since the very first season, lmao. I just find her so annoying, but I could never stop watching it. (I am also extremely over Bill and would not be unhappy in the slightest if HE were killed off, for real this time)

Cuntbucket's name is Sarah(I think) and I was also HIGHLY disappointed that that bitch is STILL NOT DEAD. She's so obnoxious! Ugh
Also I was really wondering that about Warlow too?? I'm interested in seeing more about this other plane he was in.

I am also way over the werewolf thing. It just seems like a totally pointless storyline at this point. let it goooooooo.

I think they pretty much jumped the shark, then danced on the sharks head in ballet slippers with the whole Jessica I want to be fucked by a vampire before I die thing. I mean, True Blood has always been trashy soft porn, but come on. I'm sure Twihards everywhere reveled in ecstasy.

That sucked, I hope he was just very badly injured and not dead dead. He is my favorite vampire.

I know! Pam went looking for him so Im wondering if she is gonna swoop in at just the right moment and bury him in snow or something, lol.

I felt the same way with the finale. Like what the hell is going on?
My moms TV went wonky so I missed the epic fight and one-liners. But also I'm glad that some long term issues have been solved within the series.

I also hope that he isn't dead because I've grown a lot closer to him then anyone else as a character. Also I have a feeling that the next season is gonna start with a blood bath. At least within the first 3 episodes.

They did cut to the credits without showing him actually dying… so I imagine (and hope) that Pam will save him in the first few seconds of next season.

Did this final episode of the season feel oddly tacked-on to anyone else? It feels like must have waited until they knew they were renewed for a 7th season before filming it. (I don't know whether this is the case; I'm just speculating.) The penultimate episode felt more like the end of the season. This one felt more like the start of a new season.

How would Pam manage to save him in a way he couldn't save himself? They all lost the ability to daywalk at the same time (it looked like to me), so presumably if she was flying through the air to save him she's now a flying fireball.

Oh damn. Way to crush our hopes. :(

On the outside it looks that way, but if you remember Eric had Warlow's blood a few hours before Pam drunk from Bill. So it should at least give her some time to get to him IF she did end up saving him. I would be really sad if they were no longer on the show though.

It did feel like a new season, but I think that's because they took the "six months later" route. I think they could've shown vampires becoming more infected with Hep V, and like going rogue.. not caring who they killed because they're already going to die. But also because they did film it that way I feel like the season finale was a bridge to connect season 7 to season 8 without having to spend 2 or so episode explaining what's going on.

I don't think it has anything to do with duration since you took the blood; it was Warlow dying that caused the power to go away. Wikipedia agrees!

As soon as Warlow dies, the power of walking in daylight is also taken away from all other vampires who inherited the trait. Far away in Sweden, Eric also loses the power which causes him to burn.
I fully expected Eric to start digging.

Same here, I still think that might be his first move in the new season, that or Pam just dive bombs him and takes them both underground.

What about Sookie and Alcide?!? I cracked up at the end when Bill called him "Bright Eyes!" LoL!!

LOL, me too.

I'm certainly looking forward to some Sookie/Alcide sex scenes. :)

I watched the last episode again on OnDemand and at the end they had a little more with the writers. They certainly implied that Eric experienced the true death and it was the reason they placed him where he had nowhere to go. Something about the only thing keeping him around was his "sister". :crybaby:

Fuck you for that ending HBO. The only good part of the last episode was the commercial for new blood.

There were some good moments in the episode. But overall it was disappointing.

I'm not sure what would have been a good ending, though.

I was pretty happy with Eric & Pam, though. Boy did Pam have some wonderful moments throughout the season. I think Pam is the big winner this season.

I was ok with Sarah Newlin's ending too. Going insane and being taunted by visions of Steve? That was very appropriate for her character, but was undermined by having been used already a few episodes back.

Hoyt/Jessica was ok, I guess. I can buy them rushing into marriage. Jason/Bridget works too.

The way Sam just took off seemed pretty pointless.

Lafayette got a boring ending, but at this point that's what he wanted. so I'm ok with that.

the main disappointments are Sookie & Bill. I'm not sure what they could have done with them that would make people happy though.

I got excited the moment Sookie could read Bill's thoughts... "Omg.. omg... omg... Will her fae blood / virus mix turn him human?!" Then, STAKE TO THE FUCKING HEART, EXPLODE. UGH. What was the point of her hearing his thoughts? "He's more human than ever" So you don't wait to see if he might turn human? Nope... just jump to the grave yard. The entire scene at the grave was intense. I waited for some big twist but nope... he just died... and I was let down.

Then, OH HEY WE'RE ALL SO HAPPY AT THIS BBQ AND SOOKIE'S PREGGO. WAIT WHO THE FUCK IS THIS DUDE?! Fuck all that shit.

I wish the Series Finale was Sookie, Eric, Bill and Pam fucking for an hour. That would have been a good series finale. You know, instead of making the viewers feel like they got fucked over.

I gave up around Season 4 and going by what I've read about this last season I feel justified in that decision. It's a shame though, as I loved the first season in particular so much. It just seemed to get sillier and sillier as it went along.

It's bizarre that it turned so horrible and whacky in later seasons with Alan Ball having been the previous Producer / Writer. He's my favorite screen writer and director... I can't help but wonder if Executives got on his back saying, "OH WOULDN'T IT BE COOL IF..." potentially taking the power from the artists (writers) themselves.

It happens a lot in film. My friends, in the film industry, complain that they'll have an amazing concept for a movie but executives end up getting the final say. Usually ruining the entire concept and making it what they think will boost ratings. :(

Alan Ball is responsible for (in my opinion) two masterpieces: American Beauty and Six Feet Under
