Hello this may be a silly question, but I wanted to confirm this.

Short story: I am going to be tipping a model a substantial amount of tokens in one anonymous go. I know the amount will be higher than what she normally earns in a month. The thing is I seem to remember anonymous tips counting towards the top tippers of the month (from her stats page). I was wanting to know if this was ever fixed.

Effectively my question is, if I tip anon will there be truly no way for her to tell it was me (no way it counts towards tipping stats which she can look up and surmise by the amount)

I know anon should be anon, but just want to be cautious, because again...I seem to remember this being an issue in the past where she could look up somewhere and guess who tipped it

Maybe to be extra careful, you could transfer the tokens to a new premium account and tip her from there? Then, even if she were to deduce what member name sent the anon tip from her totals, you would be in the clear. It would take some time, because I believe token transfers are limited to a certain number each day, but it would help you cover your tracks a bit more. :)

I have never actually attempted to transfer tokens between premium accounts before, this is speculative based on what I have heard from others who have transferred tokens. I apologize if I'm misinformed.

Also, kudos on making a model really happy in the near future! :thumbleft:

I think that bug is fixed now. But Mollie's right, you could always use a different account just to be on the safe side. Normally, the transfer limit is anywhere from 200-1000 tokies per day, but I believe that if you have a lot of reward points, that limit gets higher.

There is a bug I'm aware of right now—if you tip anon and a model goes and looks at her token sessions and orders them by username, the anon tip will show up sandwiched between any non-anon tips from that username.

So. Make a new account, buy/transfer tokens, and tip from that one. Don't use it for any public tips and you should be fine!

Also, good on you for wanting to make someone's day. :)

P.S. This bug is active as of a week ago, I haven't double-checked it in the last few days.

Holy crap, Lorelei! You're right! There it is, sandwiched in between other tips from the same member! Thanks for bringing that to the OP's attention (and models who want to be nosy about their anons)!

Can you transfer tokens to another member beyond their accounts token limit?
FYI, if not: You may have to buy the tokens on the other account. This would also take time, as you can only buy a certain amount per day on new accounts.

The daily token purchase limit on the new account shouldn't matter if he's going to buy on the main one and transfer into the new one. It would be the total storage amount on that one.

He should also still be able to buy up the daily limit on that account.

But honestly it may be easier to contact support and tell them because of this bug you'd like to tip from a new account. Ask them to just transfer all of your tokens to the new account. They should be able to easily see the email addresses/payment history are the same person. In fact they probably have already linked them anyway.

All of my accounts that I've started new, I purchased tokens on a credit card linked to one of my other accounts. From then on the new account showed the same higher spending limit and storage amounts of my main account. I haven't been stuck at the low starting limits on any of the other accounts.

This has not been my experience. I've always had to start at the bottom again.

Members are limited in the number of tokens they may transfer on a single day through the UI. Contacting MFC support is your best bet.

This is your best bet.

Thank you all for your replies.

My solution is just tip anon and hope she doesn't realize/track down....I can't be bothered contacting mfc and using a separate account and as much as I like the transfer solution, it would take over 20 days to transfer...so I am going for the quick approach.

Thank you everyone for your feedback

My secondary account automagically inherited the higher limits from my primary account. (I just checked, and it can buy 7575 at a time. There's absolutely no way I ever bought enough tokens on the secondary account to get the limit that high, so that clearly carried over from my primary account.)

But I don't know how they decide that two accounts are the same person. Or whether they've done so in a consistent manner over time.

As long as you use the same e-mail address as the original account then the token limits will be the same as the original. If you sign up with a new e-mail account then you start at the bottom again with regards to token limits

Not that it matters to the OP any more, but my understanding is that anonymous tips aren't added to the member's monthly total, but they *are* added to the "lifetime" total. Is that still correct?

From what I can figure out, it's still correct. I think. I tried to compare that page with my own historic stats, but people are silly and change their name all the time (and my own stats have trouble keeping up with that) and it does seem off for those I know tip anon frequently.
