Saw this on facebook, I think this is an appropriate thread to re-post it to.

I'm afraid I don't understand any of the fascination with the "Royals."

It's bad enough that the British still tolerate these in-bred leeches. But why does any in the USA (or any other nation outside the UK) care about these cretins?

Compared to Paris Hilton and Kim Kardashian they are a major step up.

And for the most part the same people who can't get enough of the royal family are the same people who made the Kardashians and Hiltons and so forth famous.

And guess who the vast majority of those dim-witted fake reality TV watchers voted for... the phony who lied and conned his way into the oval office right now.

I guess since you made this topic you can derail it any which way you like and politicize it. Nominate someone better than Mitt Romney next time.

Neat trick. Good way to pass blame back. You derail your own thread, then when someone mentions it, you accuse THEM of the derailment. So REPUBLICAN. ha ha ha ha ha!

Here we go again

Liberal so-called progressives can't take responsibility for very the crap they created. They have to pass it to find out what's in it mentality, then blame it on others when it fails.

They're the REAL royal babies.

But you were the one who posted off-topic. And when it was mentioned to you, you broke into tears like a child. Clue, some mild comments should be ignored, versus stomping around looking for a flame war.

Call the Waaaambulance, mild comment was made.

You have to come in to be some sort of dipshit white knight over it?

 I don't give two shits if you go off topic in your own thread, but don't be such a nancy boy about it when someone mentions it.

Go baaaaa somewhere that sheep speak is understood.
Oh, sorry. Another bad night with the grain spirits?

Lexmark questioned the fascination with the royals. Red and Sevrin made their comments about how celebrities in america are our royalty and why it is worse. My argument are the same people who are fascinated with royalty are the same people who are obsessed with celebrities. My comment had to do with the royalty and was on topic and was a response to what was already made. How MY comment derailed anything is beyond me.

Your comment, however, had to do with american celebrities and Obama and nothing to do with the royal family what so ever. Or, is your argument that the people who are obsessed with the american celebrity are also obsessed with the royal family, and by voting for Obama is England's way of getting revenge for the American Revolution to bring the downfall of the U.S., and this is one big conspiracy?

Paris Hilton and the Kardashians are somehow royal family related, or on topic?

Rich, clueless, celebrities like Paris Hilton, Jayzee and dipshits who care about their ilk are exactly who Obama targeted for his homeboy, ignorant votes.

How is Obama doing now?

Benghazi is a phony scandal?

Why are embassies now closed and Americans in danger once again?

Luckily I've been avoiding the news lately so I haven't had to hear much about it. However, I know it's been made into way too big of a deal. Yeah, I'm glad they had a beautiful baby and are happy, but does it need to be all over the news for DAYS? They don't even live in the same country and like all of America is freaking out.

People have babies every day, yeah it's exciting, but let's broadcast about something that has a bit more importance on the news please!?

So..... Are they werewolves or not?

It's a well known rumored FACT that women with black hair on their forearms are werewolves. :shifty:
Not sure why that got thanked, but it did make me chuckle a little bit at its absurdity. :)

While I don't give a hoot about any of the celeb fascination at all, [past the random nip slip, lol] with the fervor that this country surrounds the 'celeb of the day,' I have to say that at least being a "royal" is more credentialed for 'news' than the Kardashian clan or any of the rest ever were.
[the exception being when Bruce was in the Olympic's so many years ago.]

:dontknow:

This might explain the UK's tolerance:

(today is the first day I read this thread, and I only did so cause I wanted to see what all the fuss was about. I find that all the fuss is about the fact that there is a fuss to begin with... so anticlimatic.)

I gotta admit, I was pretty sad when neither baby was a werewolf. :(

Maybe it just doesn't show at birth??

I was a little kid when Charles and Diana got married. This is nothing compared to that media circus. THEY PRE-EMPTED TOM AND JERRY. And we only had four channels and blah blah blah.

I was at Charles and Diana's wedding, right there in Trafalgar square and Princess Di waved at me (ok it might have been others in the throng.). The shut the entire country down for that marriage, and you know what it was totally worth.

There are tens of millions of people clued to their TVs/screens wondering who will sit on top of the Iron Throne, so I don't see the harm in being excited about princess of Cambridge who likely will actually sit on a real throne. Not to mention that Princess Kate is a beautiful woman and I don't ever get tired of seeing pictures of her.

I can almost understand the Brits following every move of those inbred "royals." After all, they pay a lot of money to keep them around, so they may as well get some entertainment value out of them.

But I can't understand why any American would give a damn. We got rid of this anachronistic "royal" foolishness in 1776.
