Read her profile-the majority of the comments on there are nice, but there was a rude guy and a model saying "We should do a show together sometime". Just wants to boost her own popularity and make more money-pretty rude. Pretty sure Jenna is too busy to do shows with random girls on the Internet that she doesn't know.

Are you talking about ChristineAsh? She left a "let's cam together" comment, but she's a consistent Top 5 model. I think it's a great idea. ChristineAsh could probably teach Ms. Jameson the ropes of putting on a great camshow.

No, it wasn't ChristineAsh.

Are you sure? That's the only similar message I found:

I watched her for a few mins. Part of it was curiosity(was it really her, why was she here) and a part was the star factor she brings. She is still the biggest name in porn and the fact that she works on the same site as most of us is flattering.
I find her presence here to be positive and I certainly don't consider her a threat (nor was I in her room to get attention). To me camgirls are not pornstars. It takes a different set of skills to be a camgirl and there are so many niches. I don't doubt Jenna's skills in her pornographic career (and her business sense after porn) but she lacked the control over her room and her tone to the room was not what I expected for someone that is worth millions "guys you need to tip me more or I"ll go private, oh wait you need to tip more before private; tip tip tip guys"
I don't mean to sound over critical of her but I'm trying to illustrate the point that just because she was an excellent pornstar it doesn't equal to excellent camgirl.
I realize it was her first few days and I understand starting on mfc with 1k people in your room when you're a new model is overwhelming for anyone. From what I saw, she still was a pleasant person overall thought.

"guys you need to tip me more or I"ll go private, oh wait you need to tip more before private; tip tip tip guys"

Did she actually say anything like that ??

if she did , I am gobsmacked!!!

wow....

Net worth of $71'000'000. Quick Tip guys...........

You know who I think would make a good Jenna Jameson of camgirls? Lindsay Lohan. Maybe I should start an online petition or Kickstarter or something...

Oh my word, I'm not the only one that does that. Almost every time I type out 'though' my mind adds a T at the end to make it 'thought.' I always have to go back and delete it. :)

When I was in her room she was being bombarded with private requests and group requests and declined them so she could spend a little more time in public chat. She told the room that she wasn't gonna take any private/group requests for a few minutes but would stay in public chat longer if people tipped. Which seemed fair enough to me. Maybe she'd changed tact by the time you saw her, but I didn't see it as "tip me or I'll go private, tip me tip me tip me", as much as "I could be making more money than I currently am in either a private or a group, but the more tips I see in public chat, the longer I'll stay out here with all of you".

First time poster...I found it completely hilarious to watch how so many camgirls behaved around an actual celebrity.

Also I know no such format exists but I would love to see a chatroom on MFC hosted by a wealthy male celebrity, I think behavior wise the girls would be right up their with any weirdo member based on what I saw LOL.

I find it strange that MFC didn' t make a big deal about this. You'd think Jenna Jameson camming would be at least worthy of a tweet :?

If they tweeted about one model being online though, they'd have several thousand other models questioning why tweets aren't sent out by MFC when they log on.

Model: Why didn't you tweet when I logged in?
MFC: Are you Jenna Jameson?
Model: No.
MFC: You answered your own question then.

Especially compared to Streammates which sends out an email/tweet for every C list porn star. Most of whom even after I google I have no idea who they are. On the other hand, it sounds like she hardly needed more traffic on her first day.. Still if she does stick around, I hope MFC does promote her to drive traffic to the site.

"Come talk to Jenna Jameson for free and watch her get naked" Has got generate a decent amount of traffic.

I hope they don't... I'm sure if Jenna tweeted herself she'd be able to get MFC plenty of traffic. We all have to promote ourselves, she should too. It's not like MFC tweeting that would bring much more money in, I think it'd just bring more freeloaders in.

I think if MFC starts being "The Home of Jenna Jameson" the nature of the site would change.
She doesn't need to promote herself. She doesn't need to work on her camgirl skills. Showing up is her skill. Showing up is going to bring MFC money and traffic. She's not working for nickels like the rest of us.

And I think that's why some cam girls are bitter about her presence. They feel she doesn't "need" to make tokens, yet she is, thus taking possible tokens out of their hands.

I'm still in the mindset that people who are spending tokens on her are not the people who would ever spend tokens on me. I don't feel like I am losing out on anything.

She is just telling a people that they will get what that pay for. The fact that she is already loaded and is Jenna Fucking Jameson means that she doesn't have to be concerned about people getting their noses out of joint over it.

She can be the queen bitch other models would sometimes like to be, but unlike them, she doesn't have to fear repercussions. In a way, I think it will be a benefit for models to have members reminded by someone they can't intimidate that there is a very definite bottom line to all the fun and games.

As far as other models being star-struck, why wouldn't they be? A few misbehaved, but other than CarolineSxy none were absolutely obnoxious when I was there. MFC is designed as a community website. If nothing else, their presence turned Jenna's room into a temporary common room for members and models alike. Member rooms could have filled that need, but other than the Asian room, they never caught on. She may decide to block them, but I got the impression that she got a kick out of having them there.

There have been a few "disruptive" models who have taken MFC in new directions. Some for better and others for worse. I think these are pretty interesting days .

THIS^^^^^^^^

Huh. I finally used the THIS thing.

Couldn't agree more. Not only is it the people who will spend tokens on her are not the general people who will spend tokens on most other camgirls, but i'll go further. After an initial curiosity factor, I don't think the people in her room will even be the regulars in practically any of the models rooms i go to. I wouldn't worry about it. It's a totally different category, not really a competition.

When you get right down to it I think the main thing it is going to do is draw more people to the site to see her. Then a percentage of them will stick around and visit others. So ultimately I think every lady will benefit a little. Or she'll get bored in a couple weeks and not log on again.

Exactly. Her appeal is the fact that she's Jenna Jameson. She doesn't need to make a name for herself on MFC, or build a brand, or a fanbase, or any of the things that any other new cam girl has to do in order to be successful, because she's already done that. She did that with her porn career and other ventures. And the fact that she's already loaded is completely irrelevant.

Wealth is ultimately relative and there are many people who would argue that the top models earning $50,000 a month are already wealthy enough and, much like Jenna, don't need to be tipped any more. And they'd be just as wrong as the folk who are saying that Jenna doesn't need to be - or shouldn't be - camming at this point in her career. Who sets this arbitrary line at which a person should stop working because they're "already rich enough"?

I agree. Shes going to attract the people who are already her fans from her porn. Maybe a few random visits just to see if it is her. Etc. But, as far as people like me, no. I have my favs that I talk to and perv and such. And just because it's Jenna Jameson doesn't mean I'm going to be all woahfuckbetterdroptheseothernotfamousgirlsforher!

And I think a lot of longer time members will feel the same way.

Besides, if it was Jenna from 15 years ago I might be more excited to even be able to say hi to her. But Jenna of today does nothing for me.

I went to her room for 15 minutes or so yesterday. It was a mad house. I am curious as to why she signed up at MFC. I may be wrong but I don't think she will become a regular fixture on MFC. Unless she has some type of deal with MFC, I doubt that she will be here next week.

It says in her profile "I am working on a documentary about my transition in life..." and I think camming, and her being on MFC, is part of that narrative for the documentary. I don't think she's in it for the long term.

Ladies, Jeanna Jameson being on MFC is good for you all. Why? Traffic. You can't compete with Jenna Jameson's USP. People will go to her room because she is one of the world's most famous porn stars, as evidenced yesterday. She is box office. You're not in direct competition with her. Have faith in your own brand / USP, as people will click away from her room. :thumbleft:

Sorry for the business/ marketing speak.

If she talks about MFC or at least her experience on webcam in her documentary, it'll be a good thing. Unless she has a terrible experience and only highlights the negatives, of course. But so far she seems to be enjoying it, even though she seems a bit overwhelmed at how fast paced it can be.

Plus, the money can't be bad. Two days in and she's already in the top 150.

After she became famous in porn and decided to do stripping appearances, she was making like $50k a WEEK for those appearances (between her fee plus the tips). MFC might bring in some money, but it is small change compared to what she used to be able to get.

I am gonna guess, though, that she's not unhappy about the amount of effort she had to put in on cam over the last day and a half and the amount that she made from it. (Probably well over $5000)

This is true if and only if she and MFC promote her appearance. I just started following her twitter feed and she tweeted nothing about trying out being a camgirl. Now if she mentioned her appearance on other social media I don't know. But yes if her 550,000 twitter followers were encouraged to come talk with her on MFC, then some percentage would buy tokens and a smaller percentage of those guys would stick around and spend tokens on other models.

The same thing would be true if MFC did some promotion around her appearance, it would draw in new customers some of whom would stick around and tip.

However, in the absence of marketing, she does more harm than good for existing cam models. While there maybe a few guys who, say I'm going to buy tokens especially Jenna, I suspect for the typical guy who buys 900 tokens twice a month or so, he is just going to spend them on Jenna and his favorite models rather than tip a new model.

I'm assuming MFC isn't marketing Jenna Jameson because it does not want to alienate its core business i.e. the other models. Why isn't Jameson tweeting her followers? I'm also assuming because of a deal struck with MFC regarding the above? Either way, in my opinion, Jameson is such a huge name that she does not need to promote: word will get around regardless. I Google searched her and this is just one example that came up:

http://www.mixedmartialarts.com/mma.cfm?go=forum.posts&thread=2224689&forum=2&page=1&pc=21

I'm not expert and think you have valid points HiGirlsRHot. I just think this is the exception to the rule. I'm happy to be proven completely wrong on this though.

This. I think if MFC started promoting "Jenna Jameson is on our site!!!!111!!one!!!" than some girls, especially girls who have made a GREAT deal of money for the site would be a little put off by it.

Also, I think if MFC began to be thought of as "the place where you can see porn stars live" it'd be less of the social place it is now and slowly morph into something else.
