The Economics of Fan Club vs Onlyfans. Untapped potential ?

Chaturbate has this option the "Fan Club" allowing users to pay a monthly for added features. Various priced options for "Fan Club Exclusive Content" a green name in the chat and alleged Private Messaging. When onlyfans rolled out with it's subscription based model i neglected how chaturbate had the fanclub it's own subscription based model. I'd say it's common knowledge onlyfans payout ratio is higher however with the fan club being a monthly model the question raised becomes are the options competitive?

I've done a little research and even among "high traffic" models the fan club feature is rarely marketed/advertised. On paper the feature has all the potential but it seems to be overlooked and under utilized. Options ranging from $5.99 - $250.99 a month seems like a untapped market. I understand the onlyfans payout ratio is allegedly higher yet when the debate of a paid monthly subscription model is to be debated chaturbate has an option.

The question branches out to, are people gonna pay a monthly fee for content. Clearly considering the success of Onlyfans, Netflix, Amazon-prime yada yada. As a model I've yet to acquire fan club members however i could easily say it's from a lack of trying. I've had people on platforms like Twitch willing to become monthly supporters/subscription member so no doubt the market is there and undersaturated onsite. Again the payout ratio is the obvious factor yet the fan club is so under utilized by models who knows if more subscriptions could effect the payout ratio.

Green names on the platform are a rare occurrence but could the culture change? Onlyfans is proof of demand, is there a supply chain issue among models? Is the feature not appealing enough to models? Can you eat Cinnamon Toast Crunch everyday?

I've been a subscriber on numerous content sites like OF and Fansly, and felt that was really good value for money to be able to access basic content (at only $10-20 per month, which really is affordable), plus of course tips on top of that.
Chaturbate Fan Clubs in my experience are a mixed bag, but reflect how the model sets them up.
Some models don't really have any content offered to members (although I have still joined to support certain models). But I've also seen many users sign up and then just sit in the room for hours every show without tipping, as though they feel entitled by a green username to enjoy for no further appreciation beyond their 100 tokens (or whatever) per month. Guess they also see it as a cheap way to try and use the PM feature. And CB's own FAQs suggest that a model should fall over themselves to greet a green username whenever they join the room.......
Some models have photos and videos available for token purchase or as part of FC membership, but unless they update content regularly, you tend to see most users sign up for a month, access all the content, then not renew.
The next level is those models who offer discounted tip menus or privates to FC members, those seem to get the regulars that keep renewing.
Have you considered sites like manyvids and clips4sale?

Comparing the chaturbate fan club to youtube or twitch as live streaming platforms I've come to understand while "users sign up and then just sit in the room for hours every show without tipping" the guarantee of a monthly payment is the goal. From the aspect of a business I'd take 10 monthly fan club members over here and there tippers because of the various fan club pricing options. Considering as a model you can upload basically as much content you want and set conditions for fan club members on a case to case.
I've done manyvids in the past and while perhaps too centralized chaturbate covers plays all the positions on the field.
As a viewer the fan club is gonna vary model to model. However as a model the control and options you have are too bountiful for neglect.

Or, judging by experience, just can't be arsed making content. It's none of my business of course and there could be all sorts of reasons why it isn't done, but it's strange when studios/models with 10k+ followers have practically *no* content neither to tempt users into subscibing to their fan club nor a 100 tk clip or photo to sell to regular guests. Is passive income considered some kind of mortal sin? Oh, well ...

In my CB travels, the models I have seen with lots of fan club activity are the ones that are very good at friendly conversation and maintain a positive, welcoming vibe in their rooms. One such model also discounts her private show price a little bit for her “greens,” which seems to work for her.

It seems less about exclusive content and more about loyalty, in my view. Which may be different from how OnlyFans subscribers choose their subscriptions. I dunno.

Onlyfans is probably the biggest, most well known/popular content site available right now, outside of PornHub which no longer accepts credit card transactions so that's moot. People who aren't on Onlyfans that actually are capable of creating and posting a handful of content per week are missing out on an opportunity. If you have at least a somewhat known presence on any other adult site, and use your same model name on OF will likely be googled and found by people who want to pay for your daily/weekly content there. Even better, advertise on your social media (that hopefully is linked directly on your other sites) that you post on Onlyfans and you'll most likely get at least a handful of subscribers.

Subscriber based content and membership are the blueprint on live streaming sites. Not that Chaturbate is the only road. Rather their Fan Club feature is the iceberg Onlyfans appropriated.

No that was back in I think October of last year. There have been statements from them since that this is not their plan. Not to say things'll never change, but I think it'll be a while before they try that stunt again.

Like I said I think people looking for pages to sub to on OF are looking for a different experience. I've had fan clubs on cam sites as well, and I can say the process is so much more streamlined on a site made to do ONLY content sharing like OF. And due to it's very popular and widely known name now, I am getting a lot more traffic to my page than I ever did, or think that now I would with just a membership club on a cam site.
