The 20 types of members/users

I am sure that I cannot do justice to this topic like a model would be able to, but thought it would be fun to try and catalog the different "user types" found on camsites (to be fair, pretty much all my experience is on Stripchat).

Feel free to add or correct any. Oh, and maybe "TL;DR" unless you just read a few at a time lol

1. "Show feet" guy - No matter what the model is doing, or how busy she is with others, This user will post "show feet" several times in the public chat, rarely with a tip attached
2. The PM groveller - "BB, PM plz," "Plz, bb, I have something I need to discuss with you," "want to play a game? PM for details"
3. Puppetmaster of his own mind - User never tips but spams the public chat with running lewd commentary in which he pretends he is directing what the model is doing.
4. "We don't need no stinking TOS" guy - goes room to room asking for forbidden acts. "Hey bb, p00 in pvt?" "how much for v0m1t?"
5. The silent benefactor - Never tips the public room but a significant tipper in PM and in taking privates. Other users have no idea but the model definitely knows who he/she is and when he/she enters the room
6. The romantic - "your eyes are like the beautiful waves of the Pacific" then tips for "spread ass"
7. The auditioning knight/mod - not a knight/mod, and maybe is not even eligible to be one. But comes to the room and starts telling everybody to favorite the model and thanks users for tipping. Usually doesn't tip
8. The incel asshole - Comes to the room only to belittle and degrade the model
9. "I only come to the site for the articles" - tips, but never for acts. Only there to support the model and talk, not for the sex stuff
10. The PM addict - Once they have an open PM channel with the model it is a constant stream of messages
11. The silverback - Wants to be the alpha and control other users' experience in the room. Tips to undo other user tips, initiates privates when another user has just tipped or a goal has been met, tips more to show up other users than to support the model (but it all spends the same lol)
12. The Virtual Stalker - gets obsessed with the model, tries to track things like who tips her a lot and who takes her private. In extreme cases creates another account to see how the model treats other users
13. The Brigadoon Whale - flies in from nowhere and tips crazy big, never to be seen again (or maybe resurfaces months later).
14. The lurker - sits in a room for hours and/or days, never tipping and never commenting
15. "Make it rain pennies" guy - always tips in 1 token amounts. Sometimes tips to meet very high goals - akin to buying a car with rolls of pennies
16. "I'll gladly pay you Tuesday for a titty flash today" guy - goes room to room to see who will undress without having to tip. When called out there is always a sob story about why they have no tokens
17. Old reliable - May not be the biggest tipper in a given day, but there every day and always tips something
18. Dirty tip notes guy - writes the dirtiest, most sexually forward tip notes. This can be a good or a bad thing depending on the model (and the notes)
19. Three hour private guy - when he takes you private be sure to pack a lunch
20. The demanding tipper - Tips well, but the first to complain about any perceived slight from the model. Demands constant attention

Number 19 pisses me off the most. I have a hard enough time getting viewers and then I disappear for three hours? That looks really bad on my end. Good for the wallet? Absolutely. Bad for community building.

It is a little strange how "show feet" guys are so often demanding and tend to give no expectation of tips whatsoever, but "flash tits" guys go one extra step by pretending they will tip after the flash is done.

Kinda interesting how those two body parts have visibly different kinds of freeloaders.
Didn't think about this before seeing this list, it's absolutely true.
The only other members I can think of aren't ones that are frequent enough, at least maybe not from a member's POV. A handful of times over the years, I had people claiming to be from the army and asking for a flash for support LOL

I hope this doesn't go too off-topic but when I was streaming regularly on CB, I'd be thankful for the privates since they would make up most of my earnings for the day. I would regularly hit 100 viewers but my earnings would be $10-$15/hour (and that's before taxes!). The problem with token sites is that someone will always be depending on someone else to tip for everyone to enjoy a show.

I would go on to try 2 different private-based sites (cams and streamate), and it turned out that streamate worked best for me, and I made much more. I hope you have/will give private based sites a go, because if you have low viewers as is, the community part will be a much harder grind. You can also log in/log out whenever, as opposed to having to be consistent for your community.

I am a bit biased since my switch to private based sites were positive; I can't help but bring it up when I see posts like this. Some sites just aren't for us. If you like the community building part, trying a different token site like MFC, etc, might be worth it!

I’ve noticed this too. I just figured the feet guys know that a lot of people don’t think of feet as a “naughty” flash since you can see them in non-porn settings too, so they feel less inclined to pay for it? I dunno.

Flashing tits would be a bit harder to justify as a freebie. Even at Marti Gras, it’ll cost you some cheap plastic beads.

Not sure I am any of them, to be honest, but I am "closest to #5 - I am just not a BIG tipper, unfortunately.
I am more of the "I will tip in pm or take pvt and don't give a rats arse about what others think (in terms of it's not their business how I tip the model)". But similarly, if I do tip publically, I am not the kind of guy who just tips 1, 1, 1, 1, etc. I will do 25 or 50 at least. I would rather spend my tokens in 1 or 2 "bigger" clicks, rather than try to spread it out over a few hours. I won't just blame this on laziness, because I have extensions that could do it automatically for me lol.

Excellent point. Now that you mention it, I’ve often seen models do a “feet flash” just the way you describe it, inadvertently also giving a “bonus” flash (a flash which virtually always would have cost more on her tip menu than a feet flash).

#6 is always one that irks me a lot, usually it's the greys doing it but you do have tippers too. But these same guys are the ones who act all like "I am not here for your naked body and sex, I am only here for your personality".

I keep seeing this grey guy on SC, he keeps copy and pasting the same poems in every room, he doesn't even say hi to the models. He is the kind I mean, he tries to think doing this stuff will win a model over and ask him to marry her haha

I have one I'm not sure how to categorize, maybe PM spammer? "You and me, we are fuck brothers, right? We can blow each other whenever we want, right? I let him PM one time and no matter how much time goes by he slips in my PMs.

Personally I am mostly a #19 BUT I schedule that time in advance with the one model I do pvt with. And even then it's 80% hanging out and talking and 20% sex if we even get to that. I guess because I cam too I know how much can be lost going into a private when tokens are flowing. If I really have the need to do an unscheduled private it's when it's dead or near the end of the broadcast.

#22 "The Jealous One" - So many guys who get jealous of models just because they are talking with, laughing with, joking with, etc other users - be it from tips, public chat, or PM.


I have had several guys get very jealous of me and start being mean to models because of it.
Just recently I learned there is a particular guy in a model I visit who is super jealous of me and sarcastically calls me her husband hahaha. So, she made it official yesterday and "married me" on cam in front of him. I didn't even get a say in the matter haha

She is good enough to be able to just laugh at the guy and not let it bother her, but obviously some can get bothered by it
Oh and you wanna know the kicker to this one? The guy who is jealous and calls me this, is just a grey guy she has sent a PM before because she was bored and the room was quiet, now he has never sent tokens, is always there and always jealous - but I think she enjoys the comments for if she is bored lol
