Well, I have to chime in because no one has yet mentioned going without underwear. I'm not trying to be suggestive or anything, but, I've gone without underwear for many, many, years and I credit that for never getting infections. It may sound funny but you gotta air her out
I DO wear undies if i'm wearing jeans or pants, but I wear them very rarely. Most of the time I'm in skirts or dresses. And, no, I don't go around sitting on public stools and furniture with my bare bits, Lol, I wear longer skirts and if the fabric is thinner it gives me the excuse to wear a pretty vintage slip underneath.
Other habits I follow that I think have contributed to my kitty health are:
*Never stay in moist bottoms (such as bathing suits or sweaty workout pants)...change them as soon as you can even if you won't be showering until later.
*Look into 'free bleeding' and practice it when possible, and/or avoid tampons and pads and get 'natural' ones made of cotton (there are many on the market). They have to be laundered. Commercial products are usually treated with bleach and other chemicals and aren't good for your precious bits. Dismiss the notion that periods are 'gross'....it may not be feasible for you to free bleed all the time, but try as often as you can to reduce your use of tampons and let it flow. It is one of the many ways your vagina cleans herself but she can't do that if she's stopped up like a wine bottle.
*Use crystal or glass toys only, as they are gentler and more hygienic.
*If you suffer from recurrent UTI's, get your doctor to prescribe you an antibiotic you can take each time, after you have sex, just one..... right after. It works as a preventative for women suffering from chronic UTI's. It cured mine when I was younger and I used to get them all the time.
I'm gonna get 'woo' for a moment: don't discount a metaphysical approach. If you're struggling with infections all the time, dig deeper into your mental and emotional state. Your pussy is talking to you....listen.
The rest has already been discussed here.....eat well.....use a non-irritating soap daily (I like Dove unscented for sensitive skin.)
Hope your kitties find this useful
