Hi!,

so, how you girls deal with takedown of illegal content? I found at least 5 site with videos of my shows, of course without my permission. I only do shows on CB , but I found lots of site that reproduce cb shows for free.

Anyway, I emailed cb, but until now, nothing happened. The videos still there, and they simply don't answer me back.

I juts would like to know how you guys deal with it. What you guys use to protect yourself from it, and if it happen how you manage to have it takedown from a third part site.

Thanks !

Most sites have a link (usually at the bottom of the page) for content removal or copyright claims. You can click the link and e-mail the site yourself. Usually there is a form to fill out.

DO NOT fill out the form yourself if it requires your real information.

If it's video capped from live streams on a cam site, have the cam site do this for you. (It's their copyright, anyway, not yours).

See this thread about it - https://www.ambercutie.com/forums/viewt ... 15&t=13635

Not trying to be mean about this but I will be blunt. There's really nothing you can do to protect yourself from it. You can get a video taken down and ten minutes later the person could have it reposted as a different name. Get that taken down and it could get posted to ten other sites you never heard of. Quit camming at some point and 5 years later someone could be going through their folder of screen recordings and decide to post yours again. And then there's torrents. If someone posts there, don't even bother trying to get rid of them. If Hollywood can't do anything about multi-million dollar movies being posted as a torrent, yours are there for the duration.

Once you get online to do camming that is just the reality. The only reason models don't have videos of themselves out there is just because of the sheer volume of models; the person that decides to record and post them just hasn't met them yet.

It's one of the risks you'll have to come to terms with in this line of work. This isn't to say don't send DMCA notices. Go ahead and do them if you choose. Just addressing the 'deal with it' and 'protect yourself' part of your post. There's not really a decent way to do that right now.

If you send your own DMCA notice, use completely fake information. Fake name, fake phone number, fake mailing address, & even an email address that doesn't have any of your personal information in it or linked to it. The person who uploaded content has a right to the info of the person making a claim against it. So you don't want them getting your info, not even a personal email address that they could then do a search on social media sites with and find you.

So, the email address and name I use to send freeloaders dick pics would be perfect?

(I only do that if they keep pestering me for nudes and spamming me with their email. They never said who to send nudes of ;) )

Im sorry you havent received a response yet. We are behind on emails from the holiday. Please note we did hire www.Guardlex.com to help with DMCA's. When you email us make sure to include your username and direct links to all your recorded content. Feel free to email me your DMCA request Shirley@Chaturbate.com.

If this is the reality, then why are there so many cam girls who do public cum shows? I understand why their regulars would push them to do it, but wouldn't it discourage someone from recording their shows if all cam girls saved the dildos and cum shows for groups? Or are groups easy to record too?

Depending on how they do the capturing, there is no difference in difficulty. And even making people pay sometimes doesn't curb this type of piracy - since joining MFC about 2 years ago, I have heard a couple times of a random member buying a video from a model and immediately going around and sharing the link with random people in the room.

Not every cam girl cares of she's posted on tubes sites. It's free advertising, after all.

Okay... I have to admit I never even thought of that. I'm so used to speaking to cam girls who are living double lives, it never crossed my mind someone might see it as a positive. But don't you worry that someone is going to recognize you from your videos?

Obviously I can't answer for Amber, but I feel the same way, mostly. I don't think it's a very good form of advertisement overall, but it must work here and there. So it has a slight positive. There's also a slight negative, in that no one's paying me for it. So overall it's neutral and not worth the time/effort to get things taken down that will just be put back up again. I do try to get my videos that I sell taken down from tube sites, but not recordings, since anyone could have watched that for free anyway.

I don't worry too much about people recognizing me. Anybody who interacts with me enough to recognize me based on a video on the internet already knows what I do. There are plenty of people who I would rather not be seen by, but that's mostly because it would be awkward for THEM. Despite what so many members seem to think, not everybody is just itching for the chance to see me naked. Depending on the kind of relationship I have with the person and their level of comfort with sexuality, it may be an unpleasant experience. I think people are smart enough to know not to look at camgirl videos if they don't want to see their camgirl friend naked, so that's on them at that point. If I found out someone I knew had intentionally searched out my stuff, or even decided they wanted to watch after stumbling upon it, that's cool as long as they treat me with the same respect they did before.

Do you know if its effective advertising or not? Fairly often we have somebody post on the forum looking for a camgirl. There is general suspicion as to the person motives and understandable reluctance to help the person find the girl. I am curious if you, or Natalia or other have model have members come into your room say, "I saw your video on tube site and that's why I'm here tipping."
or words to that effect? If so about how many?

I have to believe that the copies of salable videos has got to affect models income.

Thank you so much for your post. You addressed a number of issues in a really common-sense way. One thing I'd like to comment on, is your remark that "not everybody is just itching for the chance to see me naked." Something that I've noticed during the short time I've been around, is that when I first enter a girl's chat room, I generally don't have a problem seeing her nude or performing some type of show. But the more I get to know the girl, the more awkward and uncomfortable it becomes. I'm just wondering if you've experienced this with any of your regulars, and if so, how do you deal with it?

And in answer to HiGirlsRHot, in about 2 months time, I've personally witnessed maybe 3 people enter a chat room and say, "Hi, I saw videos of you on the Interwebs." So, yeah, in some sense I guess it is free advertising, although I certainly know cam girls who hate the idea of being recorded despite the free publicity.

I probably get 1-2 a week saying they found me there. Maybe about 25% of the time they actually tip.

Wow! O_O I've had 1 person ever say they came from a tube site, and he tipped me 10 tokens. Im sure there were a few others who were who didn't want to say it, but still. I do comment on videos that don't have my name on it with how to find me, is there anything else you do?

I actually created an xhamster account to capitalize on all the vids that end up there. And I ask members to add my name to comments on any they find. That's all.

Yeah, most people who frequent camsites are looking for live interaction more anyway, so having a video out there, pretty much only drives business, since a member will see the video, decide there's something they like and then "Omg I can chat with her live?!" I put a promo video on pornhub a while back, and got a decent boost as well as people letting me know they found me there.

No, I've never had that issue with any regulars to my knowledge. I do a cumshow almost every time I'm online, I tease, I do close ups, I incorporate some BDSM elements, and in general am very sexual. If that kind of thing bothers a member, he's not going to stay in my room long enough to become a regular to be honest. I think there's something problematic that the more human you view a person, the less comfortable you are with seeing her in a sexual way, but that's my personal opinion and only you can determine why that is and if it's important to you. :)

I also think there's a difference between "I found a video" and "I discovered you through a video." Most people who told me they found videos of me are people who I've seen in my room before they tell me that.

And Amber, that's really impressive!

if you're videos are stolen from chaturbate i wouldn't count on them helping you, i've tried to get help from guardlex twice and they never responded, even though i also emailed Shirley. if the videos are on Xhamster it is super easy to get them taken down with a fake name and address (i use the address for the toronto zoo, lol) so i would try that. If it's any other site i think you might have less luck but you could still try?

I agree, I find lots of videos of models I know, many not even labeled anything more than "hot camgirl fucks giant dildo.". I can think of exactly one model that I discovered and eventually tipped via video. Discovered is not exactly right she was a consistent top 100 model so I was aware of her, but the screencaps of her were exciting enough that I made a point of seeking her out.
