Here's how your meant to do it. Notice the no padding and non pansy-ness.

Also notice how skinny and un-intimidating they look. hehe.

Fergie can't sing for shit either and the entire half time show SUCKED.

As far as the rugby sissy boy hits, the NFL has hits like that every game. If those were the top 13 hits of all time, that's pretty lame. This is why they wear pads and helmets in real football.

I've actually been tweeting how I was surprisingly impressed by the halftime show. I'm not a huge fan of Black Eyed Peas and certainly not of Fergie ( I think her "miss you like I miss my baby blanket" or whatever song is one of the worst I've heard in my lifetime) but I was happy to hear real (attempts) at singing instead of pre-recorded lipsync. And the cameos from Slash and Usher were fun. And as I said on Twitter, #itcouldabeenworse.... It could have been Justin Bieber.

'nuff said. :D

Should I be surprised that some of the worst called games official wise has included the Steelers? And should I be even more surprised that those calls have gone in the Steelers favor? This is a joke.

Few non-Americans realize just how hard pro-football players hit and make the "real men don't need padding" cracks. They also don't realize just how ginormous American pro-football players are. A little number crunching tells us that the average weight of the whole roster of Green Bay Packers is little over 112 kgs (247 lbs). The average weight of the St. George Illawarra Dragons is just a little over 97 kgs (214 lbs). In fact, the heaviest players of the Dragons are the props Michael Greenfield and Michael Weyman who tip the scales at . . . 112 kgs (247 lbs). The heaviest players on the Packers are the defensive tackles Howard Green and Ryan Pickett at 154 kgs (340 lbs).

Also, that line up of 13 all-time hits looks like the highlights of a single, average NFL weekend.

Watched that video again, it looked like a bunch of wes welkers and woodheads running around.

After that "facemask" penalty I was waiting for the refs to screw them over.

Fuck, I need a cigarette, and I don't smoke.

I was too busy getting ready that i missed the national anthem, so im afraid to watch it even now.

OK I buckled down and watched it. Did she re-write the song before hand? I was hoping to see one of the players give an amazing "wtf?" look on the sideline during.

Yeah, fucking up the National Anthem at the biggest televised event in the USA is just all sorts of fail. And for those who didn't catch what she did, read this http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/playoffs/ ... id=6096539
When she was supposed to sing the line "O'er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming," she instead repeated an earlier line, with a slight variation.

She sang "What so proudly we watched at the twilight's last gleaming," which is the same line from earlier in the song but with the word 'watched' instead of 'hailed.'

I would like to say congrat Sweep on your team winning the Super Bowl it was a really good game, it started out as a blow out but like always the steelers needed some help from the refs to get them back in the game. My coworkers still have some meat leftover that needs to be cooked, but damn it was fun.

Ok so I watched some of it and you're right those guys are pretty huge. So yeah, got me there.
Still think they're a bunch of pussies

Was fun to see silly Americans falling over themselves :)

I am surprised that they didn't name Ben Worthlessberger the MVP for Green Bay. Halftime show wasn't as bad as I expected, wasn't as good as I was hoping and I sure as hell would have turned it off if Justin Bieber was the halftime show....just sayiin' but if the Black eyed peas can't hold a 15 minute show on their own merit without bringing in some "BIG" names, just tells me that I am ok with not being a fan of their work.

That's really how it is though, Dane. A lot of the rap and hip-hop music is more about guest musicians and sampling from other songs than other genres are. Not even that it's a bad thing. It's just how it is. Apocalyptica uses guest vocals from many big acts and I love it. It's sometimes cool to hear artists from our favorite groups doing something a little out of the ordinary.

That said, I still don't like the Black Eyed Peas. That goes double for Fergie.

Fergie has a decent body, but it's not enough to carry the hype that she gets. IMHO

The Nielsen Co. said Monday that an estimated 111 million people watched the Green Bay Packers outlast the Pittsburgh Steelers in professional football's ultimate game. That tops the 106.5 million who watched the 2010 game between New Orleans and Indianapolis. The series finale of "M-A-S-H" had held the title of the most-watched TV show in the United States for 27 years. It is now No. 3.

Here's a stunner for you.

LAS VEGAS -- Sports books in Nevada hung on to win just over $724,000 from Super Bowl bets despite heavy gambling on the Green Bay Packers and lots of scoring.

The Nevada Gaming Control Board said Tuesday that $87.5 million were wagered on the NFL's championship game in 183 sports books across the state.

Of those bets, casinos kept less than 1 percent.

On the lighter side of flubbing the National Anthem...I was discussing it with a girl I knew and asked her if she even knew what ramparts were and she told me they were male sheep parts. :woops:
LOL... silly girl. Everyone knows it's a Dungeon in Hellfire Peninsula in the World of Warcraft.

the number two most googled thing on the internet the night of the Super Bowl was "national anthem lyrics."

Turns out most of America doesn't know the lyrics either.
