Strip-Arcade Needs Models

It's been two years in the making, but Strip-Arcade has finally launched... and we need models! If anyone's looking for something new and a little different, check us out

The basic idea was to take the strip-poker concept and make it work online with built-in Flash games. Cam models select which game they want to play, how much it will cost a player to play with them, and what the reward will be if the player wins. If the player wins, they're taken to a private cam session for the agreed upon reward. If the model wins, you still get paid but don't have to do anything (or you can specify a small consolation prize).

We literally just launched a few minutes ago, and I'll be sending out an announcement to all the interested players this afternoon. If anyone has any questions or feedback, let me know. I tried signing up for the site, it kept having issues with taking my paperwork non stop it was error try again later for an hour.

Sorry to hear you're having trouble uploading your paperwork, Tragicdesire5. I know it's not a good excuse, but we just launched so it's always possible that a bug or two got missed. I'd love to work through the problem with you if you'd like to take the time. I can chime in on GameCrush a bit, too... I actually started development of Strip-Arcade before GameCrush launched, so they should be (and are) quite different. They both combine games and cam modeling, though, so I know the comparison has to be drawn. Forewarning, though... I haven't actually done much with GameCrush since I first heard about it, so don't quote me on the details! With GameCrush, players pay you per minute to play online games while you're on cam. They have a few games built into the site, but you can also try to play console or regular computer games as well if you and the player own the same game. Nothing more is expected up front--just playing games while on cam. I believe there's also a tipping system built in as well. I think GameCrush is kind've trying to blur the line between cam site and dating site, and I know it's come under fire for being a little misleading about that.

With Strip-Arcade, you select to play one of the games built into the site (no console games). You also select what performance you'll be giving the players in a private cam session as a reward if they win. Players then queue up to play the selected game with you, and pay credits each time they play. If the player wins the game, the cam switches to a private session between you and whoever was just playing, and you would perform the promised reward. If you win the game, the cam stays public and you don't do anything (or you can specify a small consolation prize). Either way, you get paid the same amount. There's also a built-in tipping system, but you can actually disable this if you're only interested in the game playing experience.

Yeeaah... that's one of the reasons I designed Strip-Arcade to have the models specify the reward up front. I'm hoping that will keep the number of off-the-wall requests down to a minimum. You can also completely disable tipping for the same reason if you want.

What is traffic like on the site right now? Will I be waiting around for someone to play a game with me?

We just launched, and it's a little slower than I was hoping for. On the plus side, once a few players get in your room, there's a queue system in place where players can line up to play with you and then spectate the games in progress until it's their turn. Once we get just a little press going, this should give you a steady stream of players waiting to play with you. I hope you give it a try!

Like I said, we just launched and it's been a lot slower than I had hoped. We've done next-to-no marketing, however, so we're going to start putting some money into that to try to get some press going. It's the kind of thing that should spread pretty fast once the first noticeable article gets written about it. I hope you'll take another look in a month or so to see how we're doing!

We've actually got 7 models signed up now, and 7 more that need to send in paperwork still. I think they might be running into the bug that TragicDesire discovered.

I was online last night for the first time. I waited around a little bit, but that is fine I just checked my email. I had fun and enjoyed it. I would defiantly sign up and try it.
