Firstly, i don't care for the guy whatsoever. Best of luck to him, not that he really needs it.

Just some thoughts that came to mind...
-Ninja was likely paid a boatload of money to swap platforms
-Microsoft (owner of Mixer) is probably trying to ramp up the popularity of its own platform
-Twitch is almost a monopoly in the game streaming industry. How much of this will eat into their stronghold? Will it even make a sizable dent?
-Even as Ninja loyalists, many diehard fans are also Twitch loyalists, and people tend to have a hard time with sudden drastic change. How many of them will follow? How many of them will convert to Mixer as their go-to platform for game streaming?

This is the first I've heard of Mixer, so as a marketing move, I'd say it worked on me.

Yah, I never herd of mixer till now. The name is kind of meh to me. I mean it sounds like a house hold appliance. Will their next product be called microwave? or maybe dishwasher? Also 'season 2', why, just why, It's like they're trying to be fornite. And it feels like a twitch clone sense the navigation is so gaming centric. At this point, I wonder why they didn't go for a more youtube like navigation; I mean to make the platform more friendly to things other then just gaming.

I do like how they're focused on low latency, which is great for interactive chat with fans.
Being able to view 4 streams at the same time is great, they're not the first to do it, but hopefully some streamers will find a good use for it.
And it's compatible with streamlab.

• Apparently they have an option for Mature Streams.
• If you play a mature game, the platform tries to be smart about it and set your stream to mature for you.
• If a game has no ERB rating, the stream needs to be marked as mature.
• I'm surprised Mixer's Mature content rules allows limited nudity in art for artists. General nudity is out, sex is out, sex focused games are out, porn is out. Sexuilized focused content is out. But sex in games like what's in god of war might be ok.
• Streamer Clothing Requirements may be more lenient then twitch for mature streams?

Some streamers prefer Mixer over Twitch due to being "more grassroots" of a platform - less ads (or maybe no ads since i haven't found any), focused primarily on gaming & less peripheral categories, doesn't feel as much like a corporate website (despite being owned by Microsoft heh). But as y'know... as many websites expand and get bigger, it'll feel less grassroots and more corporate.
