Recently I noticed unauthorised charges on my Streamate account and when I told the online support about them I was told that my account will be closed and the case will be put to the local law enforcement, but I wasn't told anything about a refund.

I then received an email claiming I have outstanding charges of over $2000. This has all happened just a few days ago so I wouldn't expect any funds in my bank account yet. But would I receive a refund? They have not mentioned anything about it at all, they are just claiming i owe them money.

If they were charges you never made then someone prob used your card info (you know that give us your card & lic info & get an extra 200tkns? kinda crap)
In which case you need to be proactive and contact your bank & CC company to inform them of the fraud & possible shakedown by streamate. Get a new debit/atm card right away, destroy the old one, make a new bank acct if necessary. Inform your bank or CC company that in no way shape or form ate they ever to honor charges from streamate. If you really want to cover your ass go to your local police precinct and file a report of fraud. The more legit steps you take the more your bank/cc company will be on your side.

Too many of these companies operate shady. They rarely exist in legit business atmosphere countries, they like places where the laws are fuzzy and grey and the right payoff to a local magistrate can be used to stick it to a customer

who. Email from who? Unauthorised charges on your streamate account? What does that mean?

Are you saying your bank account has been charged by Streamate, rather than a Streamate account is $2000 in debt? I thought it was a camsite, not a bank?
I don't understand who says who owes who money. Where said fraud occurred, etc. This doesn't make much sense, unless Streamate is a bank account?

And are you a model? Or just normal member?

I do not use streamate, but don't they charge your credit card directly as you tip gold? So if someone can get your login details they can spend your money just as fast as you could yourself?

No, they charge your card between 24-48 hours. So if someone went on a spending spree in a 24 hour period I could see this, but the daily limits are not set at $2000, and to increase (I have only seen as high as $500) you need to email support and jump through hoops. I am unclear how someone could owe $2000 in a short period.

So the bank claims you owe them $2000 on your CC through payments made to Streamate?

Zoomer I think that's exactly what he's saying.

ELMarshall, you need to talk directly to your bank and tell them the charges were fraudulent. Tell them that you did not authorize the amount to Streamate and then your bank will likely freeze your card, issue you a new one, and deal with Streamate as far as the fraudulent charges are concerned.

Also, check your card for charges other than Streamate. Check for any other unauthorized use. Good luck dealing with this!

I am waiting for a new credit card right now, some place in Spain charged my card. The only info I could find on them was a bunch of people in 2008 complaining about unauthorized charges.
