I guess, but it would have been just as funny if she wasn't blonde and wasn't American.

Stereotype is an assumption about someone based on social perception - with this chick it's not an assumption, it's a judgement based on what came out of her mouth.

I dunno, I believe that stereotypes are the recognition and application of patterns. We notice it because it happens over and over, towards a person, group, belief, etc. Honest I think only a fool would deny use of their repetitive experiences for some silly moral about being judgmental, but it'd take an idiot to apply a stereotype unaware. Anyone with a brain can use stereotypes as what they truly are; logic.



Even if it'd have been just as funny if she wasn't a blond American, that she is blond and dumb fits the pattern, thus fits the stereotype.
