Re: StartUp Weekend Team - Question About Camming On Token S

But you are going to be giving the people you are trying to cater to free tokens. Then they spend those free tokens and you are making no money, essentially.
You are catering your whole site to try to get people to tip, by giving them free tokens to tip. So then they are tipping which is good for the model. But you don't make money. You cant operate all the servers, mods, streaming etc without making a good amount of money.
100% of the people who see my shows pay for it. That is why their 3$ counts so much, they are what make the shows happen. They don't get that 3$ for free, they spend it out of their pocket.
If you have a show that someone can see for free, they probably wont tip the 30 tokens because they don't think it'll help the goal *that* much.
I am not giving away any free token, I simply want to give users the possibility of "pledging" tokens for a limited amount of time. If goal is reached, those tokens are real tokens spent.
Yes probably many people still wont tip the 30 tokens as they do not *have* to, yet I think more people will be tipping and big tippers will put money on the table in a quicker fashion too as timeline will be compressed and users are "secured" - like in the story shared by ACFFAN69 below -.

I can think of a specific example this would have assisted in:
I was approximately 1800 tokens into a show (and like 8000 tokens deep that week already), there was a countdown offered that even still sits in my top 5 countdowns I've ever wanted to see. The countdown was not even close to finished and for an hour no one else was tipping toward it, I believe there was 1400 tokens left on it. The model was uncharacteristically but visibly upset (and rightly so) at the situation because no one else was tipping, and my tipping had noticably slowed down. I remember actively debating if I should even bother anymore or just call it a night. I sadly chose the latter and missed out on it. I still look back and wondered how many tokens I would have needed to toss in to provide incentive for the model and the other members to become more into the show. It was so demoralizing it even made me walk away from camming for a few weeks.

Well the idea is that it will empower users to send a clear signal to other users: "I am willing to put XXX tokens toward that goal if we reach it in the next Y minutes, and you guys?".
This already exists. It is not new or a reason for a model to go to your site vs another more established one. On MFC the model sets goal, guys come together to tip. Model can set a time limit herself if she wants to. The only difference is she keeps the tokens if goal doesnt happen. She still gets paid for all the time she put into that night, AS SHE/HE SHOULD.
You are pointing out exactly why it does not exist: getting billed during the timer even if it does not achieve its purpose does not empower you to send a signal of "how much you are willing to put on the table". This is just a meaningless timer as the end of it is not correlated to any particular action, maybe it gets users excited to see a timer.. but in its current state it does not what I am describing at all! It provides no security, no real timeboxing. Do you see the fundamental difference in user's psychology?

I understand your feeling is if people see the show is close cheaper members will come out and finish a goal bit by bit. And with your system you hope more cheap people will tip here and there. The thing that is flawed is cheap people who do not tip never will tip. They dont want to. They feel they dont have to. And they dont. They will just hop around like on MFC looking for a free show till it happens. And they will do the same on your site. Your plan to maybe have a set up that will show to members who is close to goal or has one set up would just make it even easier for freeloaders to watch them and still tip nothing. And having to watch an ad here or there isnt gonna deter them. It doesnt deter me on youtube and its not gonna stop a freeloader from being a freeloader. So therefore I am actually not out any tokens as those people were never gonna tip to begin with. They are not "potential tips", they are tips I would never get from these people and the few who may do it with the right incentive I would have to offer and arm and leg to for $1. Fuck that and those people. Ill do without their $1 and stay on a site where that isnt a concern to me. Ei Not yours.
Not only more cheap people will tip, I also expect cheap people to tip more often and bigger spenders to be impacted as well - like ACFFAN69 described in his shared experience -
I know many people will never tip because they do not want to, but I do not think this is 90% of the users. I discussed with some customers of MFC who told me it took them from several month to a year of hanging around on the site before converting to paid users.. I showed CB and MFC to porn users who dont know yet about livecams, and they did not understand shit as they landed on the site because those are complex websites. That is why I think there could be much value in a simpler & more secure system from users' perspectives, many will still never pay but there are all the others to convince
Video ads do not deter you on Youtube because you most likely do not masturbate on it much. Now, with a simple algorithm, I can pop the video ads on a freeloader live feed when he is most likely about to get off because there are a whole lot of metrics we can mesure and relate to this so to target the "good time range".

And this is done nicely by SM already. Gold show has timer, goal is met or not, model chooses to do show or not. And hey look no freeloaders get to watch. As it should be. Theres no one waiting for anyone else and wondering if goal will not be met and theyre out the money. That doesnt happen.
So i'll say it again since you dont seem to get it. You do not offer a thing for models to work on your site. I do not want Gold Shows in public for freeloaders. And again if i wanna put on a public show I will do it on MFC where yes there are freeloaders but I can keep the tokens I hustled my ass off for already.
Yes you are right I do not get why everyone tells me this is SM Gold Show again and again as it is not - according to me - but it is my bad not being able to explain.
If you look at it in terms of "show flow" for a model willing to perform "Pussy play + Anal with toy + Cum squirt show" (taken from a real Gold Show):
--> On Streamate it will happen like this (lets say it is successful):
1) Teasing phase during 5 min: people can buy tickets for $2
2) Teasing phase is over, show will start, freeloaders are kicked out of the room
3) Show starts and will last 7 min, users get "Pussy play + Anal with toy + Cum squirt show"
4) Show is ended, model returns to freechat or a new Teasing phase for next goal show.
--> On Crowdfucking it would happen like this (lets say it is successful):
1) Show starts, first goal to reach is "Pussy play", viewers start Tipping & potentially Group Tipping/Pledging
2) Goal is reached, "Pussy play" start being performed, next goal is "Anal with toy", viewers can start Tipping & potentially Group Tipping/Pledging
3) Goal is reached, "Anal with toy" start being performed, next goal is "Cum show", viewers can start Tipping & potentially Group Tipping/Pledging
4) Goal is reached, "Cum show" start being performed, no next goal for now. Viewers can still Tip.
5) Maybe the model wants to add a possibility to keep the audience there tipping, like tipping a shower etc.
==> This is totally ongoing and streamlined, people can go onboard/leave at any time, it stays freemium etc. maybe I did not tip first 2 goals and saw them for free, but when "Cum show" starts being tipped I'm like "hell yea lets pledge $10 to get her cum, I want to see this!"
I am not so good at explaining things, please HiGirlsRHot step in!!
Concerning Chaturbate, my bad sorry. I was sure they were doing this to save money on freeloaders, that it is even written in my documents, maybe I read it somewhere someday - or I am crazy - but I could not find anything about it when looking.. so it was BS. Sorry ! Yet it is very common in music industry when it comes to streaming.
