Noticed for the first time today that if a model is in private, the thumbnail image for their room now shows the spy rate per min.
Is this a new feature, or am I just slow to spot it?

Interesting. I see it on thumbnails in my followed room list, and also from using the 'available private shows' links at the bottom of each page.

I just noticed this for the first time the other day, and it definitely not only depends on your browser, but if you are using desktop of mobile. I do not see this using Firefox on my desktop, but I tried Chrome on my iPad the other day and noticed that A) I can multi-select prices ranges, that is select 30-42 and 60-90 and it will show the model's rate on her thumbnail, and B) if I am not logged in if I click the "Private" tab (which doesn't exist on the desktop version) the model's private rate is shown. On the desktop version I have to login and click "Start private" to see the model's rate. I never noticed this using Safari on my iPad, but I think I have it set to always show the desktop version. It would be nice if CB would harmonize those features as I can't imagine what the CB devs are doing to make the UIs so different.
Edited to add: I just logged in with Firefox on my desktop and I'm seeing the same things now that Rod and Vixxen mentioned. This is new as of today? Yesterday? Very recent in any case.

The images I posted are from Chrome. I went to the page on Edge and the token rate is behind the in private image. You can see the orange border just below it. So it looks like they have an image spacing issue going on. I guess the only downside until people get familiar with it is they may think that is the rate for the show, not a rate to spy on the show. Which I guess looking at that page I'm the only model on CB that doesn't allow spying. Ha.

That would be useful. And being able to filter by more than one hashtag. And the ability to exclude a hashtag from a search.
And I really wish they'd restore the 'only show HD' filtering option - no idea why CB removed that.
There are so many data fields on CB that it would be useful to be able to use as filters. Unless I'm missing something, it'd be winners all round - users would be able to see the content they're actually interested in and models would have fewer timewasters.

The very nature of most users on CB is to waste models' time and it has dick all to do with how they got there.

But, for those of us who don't want to waste both our time and the model's, it would be nice if CB provided better search tools to do that.

remember that the only show hd feature included models with 720p but in a lower position than the HD+ which was 1080p, if i recall correctly CB removed that feature around the same time they started downgrading the quality of models streams. It was likely removed to be more fair to the models that have their stream downgraded to 720p even when broadcasting 1080p.

I only watch streams that are 720p or better. So not being able to filter for that just means I have to waste time visiting a room to find out if the video quality is something I'm OK with (it's not always obvious from the thumbnail preview).
And the model gets nothing out of this either except for a purple user dropping in maybe just long enough to be noticed but then leaving really quickly. So nobody wins.
Camspider.com can filter for 'HD only' (meaning 720p+, which seems to be the normal meaning on Pornhub etc. too), so presumably there's no technical reason CB can't offer this functionality.

Oh ok yeah if ur just wanting to filter out streams less than 720p then that's understandable. The vast majority of streams are 720p and higher though aren't they?

Yeah, most are. But there are always some rooms where the thumbnail gets me very interested but the stream is much lower than 720.
And a lot of models in North America, Africa, UK, Australia and New Zealand seem to use their laptop cam (540p) for a surprisingly long time. But Latin American, Russian and Central/Eastern European models mostly seem to use decent cameras from the start (unless there are stability or lagging issues when broadcasting 720p+). Strikes me as an interesting quirk of the camming world, with all manner of sociological and economic factors at play. But that's probably not something that's received much formal analysis (or maybe it has?).

It's amazing to me how much you guys put so much thought into these things and you're not broadcasters. There are a lot of reasons to use a laptop instead of a peripheral camera. I sometimes feel like even if it was the best stream on earth there would be something to nitpick about it. It's kind of gross. Especially when models are chastised for not putting up with BS behavior from tippers. But hey! Good news, porn will be banned in America soon enough and none of us will have to worry about this ever again.
The Speaker of the House has an app on his phone that alerts him if his child goes to an adult site and vice versa. So enjoy it all while you can, cause it will soon be gone.

For some reason I thought this forum's 'an adult community for cam models and members to discuss all the things'. I'm sure I got that idea from somewhere.
But if it is considered 'kind of gross' for non-broadcasters to even make a passing observation about something they've noticed, it would be really helpful for that to be added to the site rules or something.

It's likely because a large majority of models from Latin America and Eastern Europe/Russia are studio models, so you have a few studio owners deciding making the hardware decisions for a large number for models.Yeah, most are. Yeah, studios being the norm seems likely to be at least part of the explanation. Though independent models in those regions also tend to go for higher quality cameras AFAICT - I guess it could be the influence of the studios on what is considered the norm (especially if the model started in a studio before going independent).
But the thing that struck me was models in 'first world' countries using lower quality cameras when starting out, when the 'common sense' (aka very often wrong) expectation would be the opposite. Which made me idly wonder whether it's something to do with independent broadcasters being the 'first world' norm rather than studios, so models are working things out for themselves rather than being trained by a studio. And a bunch of other stuff (the 'sociological and economic factors' lol).
Just some random thoughts - and I could totally be barking up the wrong tree!

A lot of independent models were previously studio models, so there's that to consider. I think it's definitely a result of models working things out for themselves, especially since most people aren't tech-savvy.
