Just wanted to post a little general apology.

My posts are continually stirring up this community and that's not cool with me. I promise it's not my intent, but I definitely have a knack for posting things that are upsetting to many.

So I want to apologize to you guys. I should have taken more time to get to know everyone before posting such volatile topics and stories. If I HAD taken that time it probably would've made me realize that certain things just aren't acceptable and are downright stupid to talk about.

I am still a fairly new member on this forum and for me to have drawn this much negative attention so quickly means I'm doing it wrong.

In particular I really really want to apologize to certain individuals that my latest thread had a very personal effect on. It never occurred to me that reading that story may make some people relive a past trauma. That is unacceptable in ANY situation. I can't say it enough, I am very very sorry for that.

So I'm gonna take a little break from this place. I really enjoy these boards, but I definitely need to take a step back and think about some of this stuff a bit.

You all were incredibly welcoming right at the start and I thank you for that. I kinda took that hospitality and flushed it, but that's my fault.

Once again, I apologize.

Bravo Kunra for taking responsibility for yourself, when I'm sure just shutting down your computer and sleeping all your free time away for about a week was a definite option. Or at least that is how I felt a time or two or a bunch, when I had done something resulting in similar circumstances. I hope you do come back, though right now you may feel like you have to stay away, oh, about a year or two.

You once sorta irked me a little, and I have paid a little attention, and think part of what has got you here is you suffer from the same thing I do. You know how you feel about something, and you know that how you feel about it is not a bad thing, but you forget to realize that not everyone else is in your head, so they are missing a lot of info that would make them be fine with what you have said or posted. Working with out that info, it seems alot of the time things you say, things I say, are taken in the wrong way, or not as we had meant them to be taken. With you youthful cockiness is a contributing factor, something i can not claim, and I have yet to work out a reasonable justification for my stupidities.

I also think you were correct, that maybe your "full speed ahead, dam the torpedos" approach may have gotten you into some rough seas right off. Before I really felt comfortable here, (which happened some time last month ), I would find myself in heavy seas and instead of navigating out of them, I would completely loose my mind and steam directly into the storm. Getting to know everyone better, and being sensitive to how certain forum members post, reply, and react will make a huge difference.

Bottom line, know this, you are still here, (not band), so you have not screwed up too badly. And with out being able to know for certain, I would guess that whatever stumbles you may have made, you are way more concerned about them than all the rest of us combined. I imagine even those who you may have upset recently, don't give it more than a fleeting thought once or twice a day when they see one of your umpteen threads. Where as you are beating yourself up pretty good, and wish it wasn't on your mind all the time. Again I'm guessing. So fuck what everybody thinks, or what you might imagine they think. You have been here long enough that we, or I, and I am sure others, have come to appreciate you, and if you don't post tomorrow, after lurking for a while, it is only cuz you're still tripin.

We are all flawed, (with the possible exception of Roxie, Tasha, and MrRodry) That red7227 though mostly always right can be a real prick about it, And Nordling is super sweet and correct thinking, but I have yet to see him once take the side of the male community members here when they are in the wrong. I mean who wants to support what is wrong very often, but it is like he has zero chauvinistic caveman in him. There are three regular forum members who come to mind, that have a problem with obesity. Evvie has a morbidly obese intellect and wit, MyNameisBob has an obese sense of fairness & justice, as does LadyLuna who also has a huge matter of fact honesty that she carries with her everywhere. The last example I'll give IMO needs to get a handle on his charisma, it is unsightly, Jupiter is also, it seems, educated to a degree that is just uncalled for. Imagine if you will, the Ozy version of Bond, with a good deal of Hank Moody mixed in. Gag me right!

So yea, we are all fucked up in our own ways. Even myself, - I used to lease space in my head to numerous cretins, one of which had the most extraordinary ability to construct epic walls of text, while saying absolutely nothing as far as anyone could tell. Obviously I have evicted him, though sometimes I almost feel like his ghost haunts me.

All kidding aside, I like your presents here. Your quantity, if not always high quality approach to thread creation, keeps things fresh - always new territory to explore. So relax, don't give a fuck about what anyone thinks, and that will come naturally, - If you feel anything like I have more than once, after not doing it "right", eventually you wont let yourself do it wrong again.

If I am right, you are someone who does not especially relish a bunch of words being pointed at you, so this post is prolly a pretty good consequence for whatever you have done. If that does not seem sufficient enough to clear yourself in everyone's eyes then becoming an Amber VIP, a JJ Liberator, a Miss_Lollipop Lapdog, a Roxie Gent, and buying large quantities of raffle tickets from everyone could not hurt. :lol:

I seriously hope you actually realize that I am a flawed human being, along with everyone else. (No offense Tasha or MrRodry!)

For instance, I totally just skipped over basically your whole post because you have a way of overthinking then overexplaining things and as much as I love how your mind works and want to read the whole thing don't have time to right now. I know you have a good heart even if you say things wrong sometimes so I don't feel the need to read the whole thing.

Kunra, thank you so much for taking everyone's comments seriously. I think it's completely understandable not to know about triggers if you have been in a community where people aren't willing to discuss what may trigger a painful memory for them. We are just the type of community that is aware of those things and I think we forget that not everyone who comes in here is used to the way we handle these things.

To be fair, I have noticed a few instances when models took fellow models' sides and stood on the (almost undeniably) wrong side of the fence.

I think as humans we have a biological switch that makes us want to take sides of other members of the same gender. I've found myself guilty of this many times. Not saying that sticking together because you have a dick even when you're wrong is good (it's actually kind of silly), just pointing out both genders are guilty at times.

Yes, that I can not in good conscience deny. But I'm reluctant to say anything any member does is wrong for a little while.

like me eric gets long winded (ok even more than me which is saying a lot). he also has a rather unique sense of humor. lucky for me i share it lol. (wait, is that actually lucky?). that means that unless you are willing to really read every word he says and filter it through an objective filter you're probably better off just scanning past when he does more than 1 paragraph (that applies to me too alas). i get him and what he intendeds (most of the time) and i havent ever seen him be mean spirited.

btw, since i keep forgetting to do it on mfc.... have any of you lovely ladies ever been motorboated by a fat man in an overcoat?

I myself enjoy a thread that has a funny and gifted troll. But Kunra's thread was not funny or trolling. He was just (albeit unintentionally) disturbing and offensive. I see it as a misguided attempt to get make us laugh but to get attention as well.

Long story short, you're not missing anything by missing the thread. A lot of us would argue you were spared.

I think that's a coincidence. Kunra seemed to honestly think his post was funny and at first didn't see how he could be in the wrong. I really just want to give him the benefit of the doubt in this case; his thread hurt quite a few people and doing so just to get his own sticky seems... Soo wrong. And if he were after his own sticky, I think he would have waited for Amber to make it before writing this whole apology.

it was definitely meant as humor i feel.
i think that it would also be irony, though irony has gotten so confuzzled in the modern parlance that it can stretch to include things that arent actually ironic at all (thank you so much alanis!)
if i had said something similar i would have phrased it thusly:
nord is such a modern free thinking kind of guy that he must have missed out on the chauvinist caveman gene completely, i mean jeez he doesnt even support fellow he-man girly haters when they're wrong. what kind of guy does that?
but when i use irony and reverse compliments i try to go over the top so it isnt misunderstood since i know i get confusing and loquacious.

random? mostly so, (lord knows our beloved camstory looooves the random) but i see it as more a nod of tribute to the fact that you don't play favorites,take sides based on arbitrary lines such as gender or throw bullshit. looking over your posts in general i find you to be smart and fair handed. i think eric does too, and since he was working in a mode of humor coupled with irony he chose to express it that way.

I just wanted to thank this part. For some reason I always laugh when nordling swears because I picture the cat in his avatar sitting at a keyboard doing all the swearing.

As for the making excuses part, I don't personal feel it's "making excuses" so much as "explaining". I've been very thankful for the explaining because I was nearly too rash in writing Camstory off as, well... A meanhead? His and other people's explanations saved my view of him and stopped me from thinking something stupid.

He means well, it's just his style of writing that can get confusing and give the wrong impression. I believe he meant to make a polite perhaps satirical jab at Nordling. That's the danger of satire. People take you seriously and call you out.
