Hi, Me and My fiance, have been camming on MFC for about a month, and we have a few questions,
first and most important, how do you put raffles on your profile, or customize it your own way, i can't figure out a code that works with the css format and i have tried everything i can think of but nothing so far.

also, how low or high did your camscore get when you first started, how long does it generally take to get a good camscore. ours is currently 1483 , orignally i was 1600 then went down to 1400 and now its going back up slowly.

we have a few regulars, but how do you sustain conversation and intrest when no one is talking?

also, if you have any tips or advice please feel free to share them.

thank you!

Hey!

Which site or sites are looking to change your profile on?

Here are some topics you might want to check out in the model's only section.

MFC profile help = viewtopic.php?f=17&t=5364

Camscore Info = viewtopic.php?f=32&t=9885

Remember we all start out at 1000 and what some might consider a good cam score compared to others is very different.

My lowest was in the 830's and my highest was 1901.

I used to maintain around a 1200 then the summer months took a hard hit on me and maintained around a 900 for a while. I have been maintaining above a 1500 for a while now. Been on MFC just short of 2 years.

Hope some of that helped.

thank you, ive looked in both those posts for info but its still so confusing, i swear if i had the money to spare (don't yet lol) i would pay another model to walk me through step by step to editing my profile lol.

if you dont mind me asking, since your camscore isnt like super high, whats your average biweekly income. you don't have to anwser just curious lol.

Camscore is not a very good indicator of earnings.

For example, AlexLady was an extremely high earning model on MFC, but because she stayed online for so many hours each day her camscore was very low. Camscore tells you how much is earned per hour, but not how many hours a model works.

To put images on your profile that announce raffle winners, contests, etc., you'll need to make an image and then save it online somewhere so it has its own url. I just put any image I need in the "unassigned" folder on MFC's photo manager. (Upload the image to a gallery, then remove that image from the gallery. It will be placed in the unassigned folder.) Then you'll need to put <img src='link to image here'> in the About Me section of your profile.

As for sustaining conversation, keep up with current events and become comfortable with rambling a bit. Easy conversation starters could include, "Did you guys see XYZ on SNL last weekend? Man that guy can't sing!" or even "You'll never believe what I saw this kid do at Applebee's yesterday!" If you feel weird talking to a quiet room, practice talking to yourself in the shower or while you're doing dishing. Playing games also provides easy conversation material, and there are many threads about games ideas on ACF.

Of course, if you're not naturally very chatty, there are plenty of successful girls on MFC who don't talk much at all. Just figure out your natural strengths and play them up. :thumbleft:

As for camscore, I think most models worry too much about their camscores. As you improve your show and become more natural in your room, your tips/privates and therefore camscore will probably go up, increasing your room count and somewhat increasing your earning potential. That said, the difference between a 1400 and a 1600 camscore on your overall earning potential is probably pretty negligible. My camscore fluctuates by about 400 points, but my average weekly pay is relatively stable. I would just focus on whether you're happy with your room's atmosphere and your income -- those are the things that matter most.

Using the search function for some of these questions can be a bit frustrating because these words are so commonly used, so when I was first chewing on the idea of camming, I read every thread I could on this forum and others, page by page. It was IMMENSELY helpful! There are countless threads on these topics in the Models Only section, and investing several hours in reading them will help you learn from other models' successes and frustrations. Good luck! :handgestures-salute:

I have been making around 500-600 tokens for actual on-cam time.

BUT-I do not work many hours.
So I am not pulling in a whole lot each pay period.
It is almost impossible to tell how much a girl is making with camscore alone. And it in no way an indicated as to whether your a top earner or not.

I second pretty much everything that was said here (and especially by AprilCarroll).

Your camscore isn't super important; it will go up over time as you become more comfortable and develop your routine and build a following, but even then it will fluctuate, and ultimately it won't matter all too much. Just do your thing :)

I have a very, very simple "menu" of things I offer, which used to include my raffle. And when I said simple, I mean it - no fancy HTML, I just bolded the items and listed the tokens. However, there's a lot to be said for just going out and grabbing some kind of fancier coding and imagery and hooking it into your profile - it's more eye-catching, and that's half the battle in marketing.

Good luck!! :)

Could be a F/F couple? Thats what I assumed...
Yeah, I was just going to say... I hope OP means fiancée instead of fiancé? If not, she has my BIG admiration for managing to sneak a man on cam for a month without getting caught

Wow this is embarrassing learning from a German girl that there is different spellings of fiancé depending on the sex. I always thought it was just one word.

You think that because you're a native English speaker and for you guys, nouns don't have a gender :p
In French and the others big European languages, nouns have genders. In French it's the same with adjectives by the way... for example, adjectives ending on é end on ée in the female version.
Crème is female. That's why it's crème brûlée instead of 'brûlé' :)
lol, sorry for being a smartass and getting off-topic. I want to apologize by showing you this beautiful picture of crème brûlée: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/c ... rulee.jpeg

Thus, some people might attempt to escape the Latin-rooted words and use "betrothed." :)

Oh my god, I'm so going to start using this term regularly. I had forgotten about it.

I typically just use fiancee instead of fiancée because to be honest, I don't know what key combo to hit to make the e with that accent mark that I can't remember the name of. But I never use fiance because it looks masculine to me.
