Hi, guys. I'm new to camming and I'm currently on Streamate. I've had so many people ask me for my Snapchat, Instagram, etc. I've been saying I don't have social media (in reality, I'm a social media junkie) because I don't want to break any rules. I was thinking of making an Instagram for cam purposes only because I currently don't have a set schedule and I figured it'd be cool to give my regulars a heads up on the days when I'd be online by posting on social media.

Anywho, I was wondering if there was any way around this rule...

Thanks in advance.

Can I just say I love the autocorrect typo on the topic here. :) I see it so often because holymoly autocorrect just does NOT like admitting that "camming" is a word!

I'm not on SM so I can't chime in on how to incorporate it into your time online there, but I will say having a Twitter and maybe an Insta to post alluring pics and advertisements and schedule updates, as well as interact with your members or other potential fans is a great idea.

Bahaha, the crazy thing is...I corrected the typo twice before I posted. ugh!

Thanks for your input!

Unfortunately, they're wicked strict on this rule. Models have been suspended before for saying "just google me" when asked for links. As long as your name on social media is the same as your model name on SM, those who have the initiative to search for you, will do so and find you. Frustratingly enough, Streammate will occasionally tell us to use our Twitter to promote an upcoming contest - but still not allow us to give out said Twitter account while streaming, because reasons.

Agree with everything Saffron said. It's not really a good idea to try to get sneaky and go around the rule. If you use your cam name for your social media, the industrious ones will find you. When guys ask on SM, I usually say "Hey MemberName, I'm not allowed to discuss that on this site." I don't think anyone could argue that I'm breaking the rule, but a smart guy should realize that if I didn't have a Twitter or IG, I would have said no. With the answer I gave, they know I probably have social media, and they will just have to search for it themselves.
