I want to created a small channel, to have my best members reunited in one place, and be able to share my schedule, some exclusive pics, collecting feedback about my shows, share referral links and doing some little talk when I'm offline. Through i don't want the app permit users to contact me directly, and expect one on one chatting (that came for a totally different price). Through I'm not sure about the app to use

-Telegram seems to be the best one (I'm using it currently), except that it isn't very widespread, especially in US. It has channels, a lot of bots, and you can block private messages and calls. Also adult friendly.

-Discord has the same functionalities, except that they forbade the use of bots in private channels. The browser version has a better UI then any other app. Through same problem as telegram it isn't very widespread, especially with oldest members. You can mark your server as NSFW, so adult friendly too. You can create various subchannels in your severs (useful if you have a lot of mems speaking various languages)

-Line is close to telegram but isn't NSWF friendly (through not really enforced), and is mostly used in Asia.

-Kik seems like a minimalist copycat of telegram, lacking some functionalities, and isn't widely used outside US. Not sure about NSFW

-Snapchat is the most used around, despite being not NSFW friendly. It has meh functional, and due to a lot of models using it I'm not sure if the members won't expect more then schedule sharing a and a couple of preview pics per month.

-Whatsa[[/Viber are very meh, and force you to use a fake number if you don't want to be suddenly called as you can't hide your private infos. Not sure about bots (viber seems to have some of them) and being 18+ friendly

So what are you using to keep contact with regular members? Would you advice it?

The best idea seems to keep several different ones depending from the geographical position of your members but that would take a lot of time to moderate.

If you want to have a place for them to gather and be able to post things, I would open an OnlyFans. You can create a little community there plus make money with it. Mine is free but all my posts containing nudity (both videos and photos) are in posts they have to buy to view (I set a price for those which you can do with a free onlyfans).

Onlyfans for sure sounds the best route--why work for free when you don't have to. What I learned about sex work: Charge for everything otherwise people WILL take advantage and drain you. Messaging members for free will be incredibly time consuming. I used to talk with regs on kik and it resulted in them tipping me less and taking up more of my time. That was a few years ago and now I'm so much happier having all my interaction with regulars who understand they still need to pay me to interact with me off cam as well if they want more content or attention

iOS will also block your Telegram channel/group if you post adult material and it becomes inaccessible for iPhone users so you will be reaching only a fraction of those who join it.

This is a good point. Based on how I use social media in my day-to-day life, I’ve found it much easier to check my Instagram stories for a quick “I’m online now” post than to monitor my email for the automated notifications. And it keeps me from having to actually visit cb unless I’m there for a specific show. (And if you’re a model trying to keep my attention, the less time I spend on cb looking for you, the less tempted I’ll be to browse the other models if you’re not online. )

There’s definitely something to be said for bringing your message to your regulars on the platforms where they’re already hanging out. I’d compare it to the difference between inviting them to your party vs. showing up at theirs.

Because when I see a member drop 1,000 tokens just for a model’s WhatsApp number, the first thing I think is “this guy is never going to leave her alone.” Maybe I’m wrong.

This isn't about spending hours online, but a dropping a couple of messages per day. I'm spending a lot of time on messndgers during my free time, so having another channek is only about 10 min of my time, as far as i can do this from my smartphone. I don't use onlyfans - does it have a phone app?

I work on four sites and hoovering between all of them is also time consuming - now I'm on exam session and i missed some messages, because i didn't had time to check my mail box on each site. It's not something critical, but some of my members are married and want to be sure that I'll be online before they "stay late at work"(or whatever excuse they are giving to their wife), other are sybs, crossdressers and sissies that also need time to prepare before going to pvt and also want to check if I'll be online. But i don't want to gibe them any possibility to reach me directly.

That's exactly why I;m seeking an app that would permit me to have all the members in one channel but block them from 1 on 1 texting. 1 one 1 texting is barely never worth it time speaking.

I didn;t knew that kik was older, I tried it last year but was really disappointing. TG was never blocked in Russia, I use it as my main messenger in everyday life - the worst thing that happened during the block was the servers going outline for a couple of hours, before coming back. A few days ago they officially renounced to trying to block it.

if you wanna drop a couple messages for updates and post photos, twitter is perfect. dont follow members and turn off dms. also you are able to network and grow your audience with other models. with a discord, you still have to moderate that shit w/ and w/o plugins. i've moderated/admin several discord groups (small and big) and they are all exhausting.

you are able to add onlyfans browser as app shortcut. their platform is great mobile ui.

This really depends on the member, and how much the model lets them get away with. I was always very conscientious of the time I spent messaging the few models I did. It was rare for me to message models, and if I did it was in response to a picture on Snapchat to say I liked it, or similar. If it was on WhatsApp, Telegram, etc it was more of a rare "Hello" with a quick note. Rarely was it more than a quick back and forth.

I know models could potentially have a lot of other people messaging them, and I didn't want to be the one who took up her time to the point of her getting sick of it. I looked at it as being a special privilege (even if I paid for it), to message her and I don't want to lose it (even though at some point I will due to her retiring or such).

Meaning it's up to the model on how much they want to talk with members. I've had similar situations with models where they would message me frequently, and our conversations were similarly of various topics. Most times, I'd try to be brief so as to not take much of their time. But, they'd always tell me that they don't mind and enjoy messaging with me. One of them would send me personalized messages every morning, to which I'd respond.

I'm taking another break from cam sites, as well as messaging (different than before as I didn't cut out messaging). I've uninstalled all messaging apps from my phone, and the few models I've chatted with I let them know. Most are cool with it, one was pissed. The one I chat with the most was sad but supportive of it saying she understands and wishes she could take a break from it all as well.

To be honest, I'm fairly respectful when it comes to messaging with people in general. I'm one who prefers in person conversations, or phone/video if it can't be in person. Messaging for me is meant to be very quick, and to the point. Or, done when talking isn't feasible.

I don’t use WhatsApp at all. The few models I visit most often have given me their WhatsApp without charging for it and I still don’t use it. I just noticed it’s usually pretty expensive when members buy it from models — 800 to 1,000+ tokens — and speculated that a lot of members that are willing to pay that much to talk offline might be candidates for becoming a pest to the model. But I understand the model has control over how much she allows, too.

I text with a small number of my most visited models on a different social media platform. It’s a good arrangement:

- We’re texting on a platform she doesn’t charge for. So the model doesn’t have to feel financially obligated to message me or worry about losing my business if she doesn’t, AND I can feel confident that even if she’s just keeping a good customer happy, she’s doing it because she wants to, and not just to deliver on something I paid for already.
- 90 percent of the time I don’t message them unless they message me first (to avoid intruding on their free time ... if they initiate, I feel more comfortable that my texts are not a nuisance)
- I never ask for anything. Not a follow up text, not a voice recording, and definitely not anything that would be considered “content.” Sometimes they send it anyway, which is great and appreciated, but I figure this is a privilege, so I let the model dictate how much texting and content sharing will occur between us. Sometimes it’s minimal. Sometimes its extensive. Either way, I take her cues, not vice versa.

I feel like Twitter is probably the most widely used free platform by members and models as well. There are easy ways to switch between account so members having multiple really isn't an issue.

You can make lists of people that you want to pay more attention to, or have group DMs that you send multiple people updates at once, etc.

I do what you described - I have separate accounts for my main Twitter handle and the account I use for following cam models. My models account appears less active than it really is. It has few followers, and I don’t post there often, but that’s because I use it primarily for content updates from the models I follow. I sometimes “like” posts, but that’s about the extent of my interaction on that account.

I read through my timeline regularly though. So if you’re using Twitter to reach members (or potential members) and don’t care as much about interacting with them on that platform, I wouldn’t worry if an account appears to have low activity. Odds are, they’re seeing your posts.

Twitter has a phone app. But, you need to disable location and a couple of other things I think. I deleted my accounts a while back so can’t check.

OnlyFans is web based, and IIRC, the interface on mobile browser was pretty good.

Twitter does. Onlyfans you just use their site on mobile browser. (They allow adult material/porn so they can't have an official app.)

I second twitter and I also use a separate email. I'm bad with keeping up with social media and messages as it is so I refuse to make any additional accounts haha. If people really want to stay in touch with you, they'll make an effort - I have several members who made twitter accounts just to be able to message me.
