No-one seems to really care. I mean, my family actually forgot it was my birthday today. I had to remind them. My best friends too.

I'm not looking for material gifts or anything like that. I think I'm at that stage in my life now where I don't care about that sort of stuff.... but for my family and friends to actually FORGET? It just really irks me. I NEVER forget birthdays.

Now I'm just sitting at home, doing absolutely nothing. I have almost no money to actually go do anything anyway. Looks like I'll just be refreshing Facebook and going on YouTube.....

I just needed to vent and this is one of the few forums I actually visit.

I apologize if this is in the wrong place.

Happy birthday!!!!

I've found that most people after age 20 or so have to coordinate their own birthday events or nobody else will do it or even remember. I'm pretty good with remembering birthdays but so many people aren't. It's easier sad than done but try not to take it personally as I'm sure they would feel awful if they realized. It's a crummy feeling though, I'm sorry!

I don't mind the not celebrating part that much either. It is more the fact that they just flat out forgot. I would never forget theirs. :(

So update: My sister is gonna be a bunch of random stuff (video games mainly) and my dad is buying me drinks and such. So at least they care enough to make up for it. Even if they just bought me like... a big ass chocolate cake, I'd be happy. Hahaha.

Also, a few MFC models I talk to are being very sweet and generous to me. Mainly making personalized birthday pics and such.

I'm in a much better mood now.

Happy Birthday Ladies. Here's a birthday vid just for you.

PS To be honest it was made for Lady Luna, but if you pretend I was drunk when I made it, (which I prolly was) it's not too much of a stretch to hear "Ladies ya" instead of "Lady Luna" Happy Birthday!

Yeah, my family stopped 'doing birthdays' around 5 years ago. It's all about just doing what makes you happy, everyone nailed it here. Last year I did a fundraiser for my birthday to go see a burlesque show, unfortunately didn't hit goal but I raised quite a bit of money that all went to good causes. Ended up making a bonfire and sat by it smoking a cigar and drinking tequila and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Have an awesome birthday! Go out and do something you really love. =)

I'm sorry about that, I had a similar experience last year - my grandma wrote me a card and on the card she wrote these exact words

"If it weren't for facebook I would have forgotten your birthday. Love, Grammy"

That was it, seriously!

I've found that after reaching adulthood if I want anyone including my family to make a deal of my birthday, I have to start talking about it about 2 weeks ahead of time and then I'll get the birthday that I use to have. Sorry it was like that though and happy belated birthday!
