Has anyone been getting slower than normal traffic in their CB rooms? I have no idea what I could be doing wrong. Lovense runs fines, OBS runs smooth, internet speed is top notch, switched up camera angles, I have a logitech brio cam, changed up outfits, makeup, tip menu, endless promotions, different apps/bots. I feel like at this point I'm paying for promotions that don't help while making no tips at the same time. Any advice helps!

As an affiliate since the very beginning in 2011 i can say that the past couple of weeks has been one of the most abrupt revenue slowdowns I have seen. The raw traffic and signups are still there, but revenue has really dropped off.

I just started in December 2023 so this is my first full year web camming, however from everything I read this time is notoriously slow. My educated guess is what you mentioned, people are on vacation, they are with family, and not so much in the house. I’m sure this will be the lowest point in the year and mid August we will see a return to normalcy.

I don't know about their government, but I know France, the UK and Poland elected left leaving governments. I'm concerned the US, where I live, is moving in a dangerous direction.

Let's talk about why it might be slower. I know I'm outside more and doing more IRL activities. But I don't know if I'm a typical viewer.
But the age verification thing could be a cause. I know it kept me out for more than 3 1/2 years.

still not implemented, but soon yes. in all Europe will be like that, but Spain is starting to introduce in september, if im not wrong, so citizens wont be "shocked" when the whole EU law comes out.

basically its an APP that will scan your ID and confirm you are +18.
We have gov apps in our phones with our IDs scanned and its already used officially for example if I want to go vote, I can use that APP instead of the physical card. And basically every month you have to go to your porn passport and confirm your ID is the same in the gov app. should be more easy than confirm in all sites you visit, but still "extra" step and some may feel "privacy invasion" etc...

Ok. I don't know if we're talking about the same verification. States requiring viewers to verify their age is less than 2 years old. Verifying the age of broadcasters has always been a thing.
That said, my room isn't slow. I utilize all of the tools Chaturbate has to offer for models. Including only allowing people who have tipped me to chat with me. It's on a day-by-day basis. I'm an older model with almost 12 years of experience on Chaturbate. There's just a certain way you have to work the site and it doesn't have to be unethical to be successful. There are some rooms that will never make a dime and rooms you can't explain making millions.
I used to complain it was slow or "nobody loved me guess I should go eat worms" and then I realized it's about perceived value. If you offer X for X and get N[o one tipping] they've determined it's not worth tipping for...sometimes you just have to keep adjusting until all of the cogs are in the right place and to be honest there is no foolproof formula for this.
Make $20 one day and $1200 the next...

Traffic has been really bad for me this year too. Can’t comment about CB, but on my clip sites I track my traffic trends and have seen a big dip this year, mostly on MV (C4S is roughly the same as it’s always been, but only if I’m actively putting out content in my best selling categories). Like you, I’m still making roughly the same, but that’s mostly because I have a decent audience base.

With MV, I think some of the site changes they’ve made is partially to blame. I also think that there’s a lot of casual members who aren’t spending like they used to. Can’t comment on how things are outside of the US, but in the US a lot of people are struggling right now just to make ends meet. Inflation is at an all time high. Grocery prices have just about doubled. Property taxes are going up. Utilities are going up. If you live in a bigger city, rent can be a ton. I don’t think people have the expendable cash right now like they used to have because of how high the cost of living has become. And as far as that pertains to traffic, I think more casual members might not want the temptation to spend money they can otherwise be saving, so they don’t go to cam or clip sites as much.
We’re also in a very important election year, where a lot of people are uncertain of what the future of this country will hold depending on who wins this upcoming election. I think that people on all sides of the political spectrum are anxious right now, doesn’t matter who they’re planning on voting for. In times of uncertainty, people are going to want to save money for any possible future situations.
And then with politics, conservatives are doing their best to make porn inaccessible since they can’t outright make it illegal (right now, anyway). They claim these porn id laws are to “protect the children”, but I don’t believe that. If politicians cared about protecting children, they’d implement different laws to make our cities safer. They’d work on bettering our absolutely broken and often inefficient education system. No, these laws are (in my honest opinion) the first steps in enacting stricter porn laws with the intention of eventually outlawing it and criminalizing those who create it (something that some conservative politicians have outright said they want). Sure, people can just upload their ids or use a vpn. But, there’s people who don’t want to have their ids tied to their porn viewing habits. And they also don’t know how to or don’t want to use a VPN.
Went off on a tangent a bit, but yeah, there’s a bunch of reasons why traffic and spending might be down right now. And it sucks.

Alot of states have implemented the Senate Bill and/or camming sites have played it safe and have set up the "verification-wall", which has destroyed camming for the avg. cammer. If you're super-popular, you wouldn't have felt it. It literally blocks everyone from an entire state from viewing anything having to do with the site, until an ID is levied. Super-bogus. It should be the responsibility of the family. Not a third-party, to make sure no unsavory behavior is happening, alot of my friends have retired due to lack of tips coming in and I'm about done, as well, myself. Alot of people don't / won't ever give an ID, in order to play with cammers, it's scary to them / they feel their rights are being compromised / and they don't want to risk being exposed / losing theirs jobs / connections, friends; etc. etc. , for their love of adult fun. (Unfortunately, our industry still is extremely taboo, whether we like it or not. Many prospective tippers that were surveyed have said; "they simply don't trust handing over an ID, and would have liked to remain anon.") Of course, no better ideas were levied by the Adult Industry(that I've read about) and "we / they" caved into this terrible invasion of privacy and have lost a tremendous amount of models and revenue. Hopefully, down the line it gets undone / a better system goes in place, but, right now is probably one of the worst times to be a webcam model, for sure. 40%-60% of the prospective eyeballs have vanished.

Because it is? We're not talking about broadcasters being verified, we're talking about viewers being age verified to open the website.ID verification has been around on CB for 8 years at least. Why does everyone act like this is something new?
And the answer to the problem is VPN.
