According to the rules you are NOT allowed to be sleeping or "appear" to be sleeping in the public chat. In private it is allowed if both agree to it.

It’s probably not allowed, but you should have a Stripchat rep should answer this. Or just look it up on the Stripchat model rules page.

We also do not allow to:

  • Portray or hint at incest (sexual relations between family members) or pose as family members (siblings, parents and children, etc.).
  • Show sleeping individuals (exception for private shows on custom requests)
  • Show passed out individuals
  • Depict real or like-real weapons.
  • Do anything against your will. You are here to decide on your own what is acceptable for you and what is not. Respect yourself, and if someone harasses you, let us know!

Hello @lolabunny9

The model was in a clearly labelled ticket show, so in this case it is acceptable as users are consenting to seeing a sleep show prior to purchasing the ticket.
So how does one go about selling these kind of tickets type thing like be in the room and say you’re having a sleeping stream in a private and sell tickets and then that’s it stream just goes private and people can buy tickets all night or something ?

I am sure that soon some models will go into the details from the model perspective.

But I can give you some insight from the user POV. As a user, I am unaware of the actual mechanics a model goes through, but as a user we see an announcement when the model activates/notifies they are having a ticket show (one off purchase for XX tokens) and there is a "topic" for the show shown as well. This may be optional, I do not know. Also there is a countdown to the start of the show shown in chat. Usually it seems to be 5 minutes to the commencement of the show, but I am unsure if it can be a different time.

Once that time runs down, the ticket show starts automatically. Users who have publicly tipped enough to cover the cost of the ticket are then "in" the show. Other users (those who have not bought a ticket) can see what is typed in chat and any announcements fro the show but can not see any video unless or until they purchase a ticket and are then admitted to the show. (people *in* the show can not see what users who are not in the show might type in public chat.)

The show can be ended at any time by the model and users are "dropped" back into public chat and await the return of the model (to us it looks similar to when a model is returning from a private show). Again, as a user, I do not know the mechanics of how cessation of the
show is instigated by the model.

Also what’s the deal with animals sleeping or being in the background of a stream ??? I was told it’s not okay cuz of beastiality if that’s how u spell it idk but is this true?
What has always been said here (and I am sure in TOS) is that animals are fine on stream as long as no sexual activity is happening and models are fully clothed. If either of these are not the case, it matters not where the animal is, it must NOT be visible in the room.

As an aside, this is a tricky thing for VR models as VR users can see *all* of the room in front of the camera. This means that unless the animal is behind the VR camera, VR users can see it.

This is how that specific terms is worded, straight from the SC Rules For Models page (https://support.stripchat.com/hc/en-us/articles/4410728017553-Rules-for-Models)

Strictly prohibited actions (we have ZERO tolerance for any of these):
  • Involvement and/or portrayal of any sort of animal or pet in a sexual or provocative manner. Animals or pets are allowed to be visible during broadcasts if the model is not naked and not in an erotic show.

(the other prohibited actions are listed via the above URL)

UPDATE: Effectively immediately, we now do not allow sleeping shows AT ALL on Stripchat.
@lolabunny9

I hope all models have been informed of this policy change via the appropriate news/info channels?

Strikes me as a silly restriction. I guess it is to do with the issue of: is a model asleep or drugged.
Sad that it has to be banned, sleeping seems a particularly harmless fetish.

I’ve seen the reason for sleeping bans explained as an implied lack of consent (or inability to consent, since the person is “asleep”). Which makes sense coming from a major site that’s trying not to get themselves into trouble.

I kind of understand that argument but lack of consent doesn't apply to a private (or ticket) show negotiated with, or instigated by, the model. Stella said that there can now be no sleep shows *anywhere* on SC, not just in public (which has pretty much always been the case.)

Thank you for your feedback @Ozzie_

And you are and @Smoothie are correct. Is the model consenting? Is the model drugged? These questions were definitely factors in the decision.

As for ticket shows and privates.... users can join a ticket show at any time, and users can spy on privates. Those users that spy or join a ticket show late have no way of knowing if the model consented prior to the show.
